Slam the Gavel Welcomes Bailey Smith, a mother, advocate, Survivor and Warrior of Domestic Violence. She is an Advocate of all things such as Domestic Violence, Child Abuse, Mental Health Awareness and our very own broken judicial system.
Bailey is currently the host of her own podcast show, NEVER GIVE UP!!!! After doing many interviews on different platforms and hosting on other platforms she realized that she wanted to help others use their voices to share their journeys from abuse and beyond.
"In sharing our stories it is extremely healing. If we reach one person by sharing stories and advocating and then they reach out for help, we have done our job. For me, it's one more piece of me that heals," replies Bailey.
Bailey discusses laws that are not being enforced in this failed and broken system that has had no change within six years. When laws are not enforced they are hurting both mothers, fathers and families.

Fantastic interview on Slam the Gavel with Dean Tong, MSc. a Forensic Trial Expert, author, public speaker and consultant in the field of false child abuse allegations. He is the author of three books: "Elusive Innocence: Survival Guide for the Falsely Accused," "Ashes to Ashes Families to Dust: False Accusations of Child Abuse: Roadmap for Survivors," and "Don't Blame Me Daddy: False Accusations of Child Sexual Abuse."
Dean Tong has testified as an expert witness in 15 states and consulting as an expert for Attorneys in court cases from all 50 states. He has been retained by attorneys and parents in over 1,000 high-conflict cost cases over the past 25 years and has appeared on more than 2,000 radio talk shows during the same timeframe discussing the pervasive and unpopular subject of false allegations of abuse. His consultancy is concentrated in the fields of divorce, child custody, abuse accusations, sexual or physical child abuse, domestic violence, parental
alienation and sexual allegations in divorce.
Dean Tong has been hired by protective mothers who have lost child custody because they are perceived to be coaching their children to make false abuse allegations against fathers.
We also discussed the John Mast case and on the FB page, I Stand With John there will be a rally on April 9,2021 at the Lewiston Police Station.
A recipient of the Marquis Who's Who Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018 and 2019, Dean Tong is in the top 5% of researchers at academia.edu.

Dr. Petra Deeter is an award winning film director and social impact builder. As a filmmaker, she has made films in many genres, focusing on using the visual story medium to tell the stories that matter.
In one of her films, Reborn, which is about domestic violence, premiered at the legendary Chinese Theatre in in Hollywood that won over 2 dozen international awards and screened at festivals and theaters around the world.
As a survivor of child abuse and domestic violence, she is passionate about creating social impact to advocate for victims. She is the founder and a Parental Alienation strategist at VictimToHero.com where she provides resources and support for victims while raising public awareness.
Dr. Deeter joins us on Slam the Gavel to discuss misinformation on Parental Alienation and the need for social responsibility in journalism and media and the need for legislative reform to eradicate this form of hidden child abuse.
In her up-coming feature-length documentary film, "At All Cost," Dr. Deeter examines a five year custody battle and the system failure that led to the murder of a ten year-old child by his Father.

Barbara Joy Hansen provides much insight into domestic violence and sexual abuse trauma. As an International Speaker and Author of Listen to the Cry of the Child, The Deafening Silence of Sexual Abuse, Barbara Joy, being a survivor of childhood incest, preteen crime, and tragic losses including betrayal in her own marriage.
After living with a "silent scream" for many decades, Barbara facilitates the Beauty Out of Ashes support group and teaches battered women as well as working with male survivors online. She has even gone into the courtroom with victims.

Evan Stark, Ph.D., MSW Professor Emeritus, Rutgers University discusses his book, "Coercive Control: The Entrapment of Women in Personal Life" Mar 30, 2021

Excellent interview with Evan Stark Ph.D, MSW is a sociologist, forensic social worker, widely published author and researcher with an international reputation for his innovative work on the legal, policy and health dimensions of interpersonal violence, including its effects on children.
Dr. Stark's award winning book, Coercive Control: The Entrapment of Women in Personal Life (Oxford 2007) has played a major role in redefining domestic violence internationally and is one basis for new offense of "coercive and controlling behavior," in the England, Scotland, Ireland and Australia and elsewhere.
A co-founder of an early shelter for battered women in New Haven and co-director of the path-breaking Yale Trauma Studies, he has held numerous state and federal appointments related to domestic violence.
Dr. Stark also has served as an expert in more than 100 criminal, family, civil and child welfare cases throughout the US and in Canada as well as providing evidence in the Sally Challen case before the Royal High Court of Appeals in London.
Dr. Stark explains that "domestic violence" is neither primarily domestic nor necessarily violent, but a pattern of controlling behaviors more akin to terrorism and hostage-taking. Dr. Stark draws on court records, interviews and FBI statistics while detailing coercive strategies that men (and women) use to deny women their very personhood from using micromanaging their dress code, speech and sexual activity. This is a livery crime rather than a crime of assault.
Coming out with not only a new addition to Coercive Control, his next book will be focusing on children.

PART FIVE: Crystal and friend Zachary on the show to talk about the perils of CPS, Guardianships and the Corrupt Family Court System Mar 22, 2021

Slam the Gavel welcomes Crystal and her friend Zachary on the show with heated discussion on the travesty of the Foster Care System. Zachary (name has been changed) discusses his experience with CPS, Foster Care and as well as being, "thrown away," and how this has impacted his life. Crystal tells us that there are parents that throw their own children out into the streets as a form of "tough love," as their children find places to sleep behind grocery stores and trying to live off the streets.
Crystal strongly advises to parents not to open the door to CPS and also to record their conversations She also explains how these agencies are Government Funded and paid for by the government. From CPS to Foster Care for profit, these children, some have been taken from fit, loving homes. Their lives forever disrupted and destroyed along with parents longing and searching for their children while missing milestones in their children's lives.
The discussion of Guardianships came up as well and how the government interferes in the disabled and elderly's lives as we talked about the Netflix movie, "I Care A lot."
Crystal discussed the Family Court system and how unfair it is and how parents find themselves in situations dealing with CPS and then the Family Court system.

Sheila from Ireland back on the show to discuss loss, grief and how corruption in Family Court Perpetuates Parental Alienation....More to Follow Mar 20, 2021

Great to have Sheila back on Slam the Gavel as she describes her loss and sorrow over losing her daughter in a corrupt Family Court system and how her feelings affected her life and career. She discusses how these feelings affect men as well, as people suspect and judge a person based on an allegation and come to their own conclusions as to how a mother or father lost their child to the other parent.
Sheila describes what it does to a mother's or father's psyche and it is a nightmare that you cannot wake up from. Parents feel isolated and ashamed as their own children are used as weapons against them.
The Legal system continuously perpetuates the Parental Alienation that destroys Parents and Children. Sheila encourages parents with coping skills and tells us we have nothing to be ashamed of. As more new judges emerge, it may help as they are more open to the knowledge of Parental Alienation. Time will tell. More to come as Sheila will be back on the show in the future.

Davey from Darby, England back on the show to update us on life in the UK with his daughter, Covid and Coping Skills Mar 20, 2021

Excellent conversation with Davey from Darby, England as he talks about his life in the UK during this pandemic and raising his daughter as she is entering the teen years.
Trying to entertain a teen is a challenge especially during a pandemic but Dave has great coping skills to ensure they have good communication which is very important as he wasn't able to see her for three months into the pandemic. He tells us she is very interested in music and taking walks.
Discussing how hard this pandemic has been on everyone and how hard it is on everyone's mental health as well as staying indoors most of the year, coping skills are very important.
A lively conversation as we discussed the royal family and running to stay in shape and horror films. It was wonderful to have Davey back on from Darby, UK.

Bjorn Cedervall, Ph.D., M.Sc., from Sweden talks about Parental Alienation, the problem with Social Services and the Legal System Mar 19, 2021

Bjorn Cedervall, Ph.D., M.Sc., is an associate professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the Karolinska Institute , Stockholm, Sweden. Dr. Cedervall has worked as a scientist and an educator in the field of medicine at several universities and also as a specialist in the nuclear power industry.
He became aware of Parental Alienation following the divorce of a relative, which escalated to a nightmare very quickly. This prompted him to study scientific papers on a wide range of topics relating to Parental Alienation as well as aspects of the child protection system.
As Dr. Cedervall is partly retired, he is now committed to increase the awareness of Parental Alienation in Sweden.
Dr. Cedervall discussed manipulation and emotional abuse a child goes through by an alienating parent, gaslighting and its definition and how children are recruited to spy on a Target Parent. Personality Disorders were brought to attention as well, explains the Cluster B Personality Disorders such as Narcissism, Borderline PD, Antisocial PD and Histrionic PD. The alienating parent is an expert in lying and manipulation to everyone around them.
Social Services misses so many red flags because they don't understand what Parental Alienation is and they are not competent to deal with it. Social Services fulfills many roles such as teachers, psychologists and judge though they are not trained in neither. The power that they hold is tremendous and when parents know the laws, Social Services will want to take away the child in revenge.

Philip Marcus, Judge (retired) of the Jerusalem Family Court Jurist, is a Consultant on Family Courts, Family Law and Procedure Researcher Author and Lecturer on Child Law, Elder Law and Professional Ethics and Jurisprudence.
Retired Judge, Philip Marcus first became a judge in 1995 and discussed the Israeli Family Court System handling Parental Alienation cases. His main focus today was to discuss Prevention, such as education in high schools regarding relationships, communication and resolving problems so young people can recognize when a relationship is not healthy. Also, identifying early intervention and how to identify the signs of Parental Alienation.
