She decided to be an Advocate after seeing so many mothers lose their children and some parents even committing suicide.     William J. McGee is the author of the novel HALF THE CHILD Oct 01, 2020

    Guest William J. McGee, author of HALF THE CHILD, discusses many aspects of writing a novel. McGee's book was a semi-finalist in both the James Jones First Novel Competition and the William Faulkner Creative Writing Competition, and was an Honorable Mention in the New England Book Competition. The novel takes place over four consecutive summers in the lives of Michael Mullen and his son Ben, who ages from 2 1/2 to 5 1/2 years. It chronicles the separation, divorce, custody battle, and abduction that threaten to tear apart a father and son. Mike, a 34-year old air traffic controller at New York City's LaGuardia Airport, who is also pursuing a graduate degree in Psychology finds himself going through a divorce. Through these four summers, the legal stakes keep dramatically increasing, as mediation devolves into litigation, culminating in Ben's abduction as his mother attempts to resettle outside of the US. Mike steadfastly refuses to consider a life that consists of him living apart from Ben. Ultimately father and son will write their own love story.

    Minnesota Supreme Court Candidate, Michelle MacDonald Sep 24, 2020

    I am honored to have my guest, Minnesota Supreme Court Candidate Michelle MacDonald, who wants justice for families on Slam the Gavel. We are guided through her experiences that have led her to believe that eradicating judicial corruption should be the highest priority for an elected official. "If elected to the Minnesota Supreme Court, I pledge to eradicate judicial corruption, ensure judicial integrity and restore our rights to access to the courts, due process and a fair trial as required under the Constitution, the law and the Rule of Law. Courts need to be places where people can speak and be heard without fear." MacDonald said on filing. www.MacDonaldforJustice.com
    What a wonderful guest to have on my podcast and so much to learn from especially when the Supreme Court's Alternative Dispute Resolution Judicial Branch certified MacDonald's course for 46 credits for "Family Law Facilitative and Domestic Abuse Issues" training. The inaugural class of 24 graduated January 1, 2020 as qualified restorative mediators in dispute resolution, a NEW realm of mediation.
    MacDonald also founded Family Innocence, a nonprofit dedicated to keeping families out of court: resolving conflicts and injustices peacefully. www.FamilyInnocence.com

    Dave from the United Kingdom, explains his heart-wrenching story of the relationship with his daughter. Explaining the use of Parental Alienation and false allegations that he can forgive but never forget. Coaching went on during the relationship with his daughter which escalated the situation. His tenacity to never give up while attending grueling court dates, finally had a positive outcome. Falling into the hands of a very good Solicitor and Social Worker, their lives took a turn for the better. Dave's view at the time was that he refused to give up, because he loved his daughter and to let others know that there is light at the end of the tunnel and to not ever give up.
