Chaos in life, feeling stuck in a "fog," losing your direction and constant anxiety is what Deborah mentors women through as well as being stuck in the past, people pleasing and poor self-esteem.
Deborah herself took control over her life in her late 30's, transitioned careers and started a business in her forties and has helped women of all ages and stages in their lives become more and have more confidence than they thought possible through Life Mentoring and Hypnotherapy.
"Change is an inside job," Deborah states. Change can begin when it is realized that there is procrastination in women's lives and being stuck in the past. It is crucial when to recognize the red flags of poor behaviors in relationships including domestic violence, so past behaviors will not be repeated. Amanda Wallace, Founder Of Operation Stop CPS, Speaks Out On The Foundation Of Her Work To Help Parents Get Their Children Back From CPS Feb 01, 2023

Slam the Gavel Amanda Wallace of Operation Stop CPS. Amanda received her Bachelor’s of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. With a 10-year career as a Child Abuse Investigator, she worked throughout several counties in North Carolina. However, watching the rights of families decrease and the power of CPS increase, Amanda realized that she had become the silent enforcer for an oppressive system.
It was then that Amanda began to understand the ROOT CAUSE of the system and the perceived power given to CPS by society. With this. knowledge, Amanda co-authored the "Respond in Power Guide," a guide parents and caretakers can use when engaging with the system.
Amanda also founded Operation Stop CPS in May of 2021, a grassroots organization that works with families and community partners to resist local child welfare agencies.
Also, Amanda co-chairs the Black Mothers March on the White House coalition which held its first mobilization in Washington, D.C. in 2022 and Amanda is also a member of the "African National Women’s Organization.” There will be another march on MAY 14th, 2023 to Washington, D.C.
53% of all Black homes are investigated by child welfare officials. A simple knock on the door by a social worker can lead to demands to enter the home without a warrant, intense interrogations, and strip searches that often end with children traumatically being pulled from their parents arms. Over 200,000 children of color are currently in the custody of the government. Over 400,000 children are in the foster care system overall.
Many of these removals happen without consent or a court order and exploit families by then requiring them to complete unnecessary services (parenting classes, drug treatment, mental health evaluations) to reunify with their children. Most, if not all, of the service providers are contracted with the Government and have a financial incentive to continue to recommend that parents comply with the unnecessary services.
In every state, CPS essentially acts as a kidnapping gang to families powerless politically, economically and socially. Operation Stop CPS mission is to empower families to rise up and end the colonial hold of Child Protective Services, and reclaim power and control of our own children and community.
How Operation Stop CPS handles crisis is INSTEAD of calling cps, you would call the hotline to find resources or think through how you can respond to help the family in crisis. She is currently providing change agent services in the following states: NC, GA MD. They have come under attack due to their advocacy. Amanda has been hit with 3 restraining orders and have been charged twice.

Slam the Gavel welcomes Sylvia Beachy and Kajal (KK) Emmett to the podcast. Rescue The Fosters is founded by Sylvia Beachy and Kajal Emmett.
Sylvia Beachy has 5 years of experience working in the foster system. She has had many roles that include Staff Member, Case Manager, Transporter, Parent Aide, and Behavior Aide. She started out as a staff member at Elks Aidmore group home which is where she met KK. KK was a foster youth at Elks Aidmore!
However, KK had aged out of the system with absolutely no place to go! This began the journey of Rescue The Fosters.
Their mission is to give the children and youth in Foster Care a voice! They also provide resources to youth aging out of the system to keep them off the streets and out of prisons! Additionally, they also strive to keep FAMILIES TOGETHER! Therefore, they additionally assist families navigating the CPS!
Excellent conversation regarding how foster children are in "survival mode" at all times. They have been ripped away from their families and question themselves or if anyone loves them. In Foster Care, the goal is surviving.
Sylvia Beachy told her story of how she started out in the system and how workers become desensitized with new influx of children coming into the group home. She also told her story of meeting a young man wearing a homeless sign and she got out of her car and questioned him. He told her he had gotten out of Foster Care with no PAPERWORK. Sylvia helped him get the paperwork he needed to get a job and find his biological mother. Sylvia's message: LISTEN TO THE CHILDREN.
Kajal Emmett explained that she was just a little girl roaming the streets as an orphan and how a police officer found her and took her to the proper authorities and he guessed her age by her teeth. Sylvia explained that they still don't know her true age. KK stated to all youth in Foster Care not to be afraid and not to be trapped by fear, that they have rights and to keep track of all paperwork, emails (make copies) and documents.

Slam the Gavel welcomes Dr. Bandy Lee to the podcast. She is a medical doctor, a forensic psychiatrist, and a world expert on violence who taught at Yale School of Medicine and Yale Law School for 17 years prior to transferring recently to Columbia and Harvard.
Dr. Lee became well-known to the public by leading a group of mental health professional colleagues in breaking the silence about the immediate past U.S. president’s dangerous psychology and publishing the New York Times bestseller, “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 37 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Assess a President” (Macmillan, 2017 and 2019). The volume proceeded from an ethics conference she organized at Yale School of Medicine, which led to her consulting with over 50 members of the U.S. Congress.
Currently, Dr. Bandy Lee is president of the World Mental Health Coalition, the largest professional organization to address the problem of dangerous leadership and its contribution to a ‘psychological pandemic.’
During medical school, she obtained an additional divinity degree to expand her understanding of the human condition. Trained at Yale and Harvard Universities, she was chief resident at Massachusetts General Hospital and a research fellow at the National Institute of Mental Health. At Yale Law School, she taught clinical courses covering the mental health aspects of asylum law, criminal justice, and veteran legal services. Her clinical practice consists of psychiatric services at maximum-security prisons and in state hospitals, in addition to working as an expert witness for civil and criminal courts. At Yale College, she was a popular professor who taught the Global Health Studies course, “Violence: Causes and Cures.” Most recently, she accepted the invitation to co-found an institute on violence prevention at Union Theological Seminary with multiple world experts in the field.
Authoring what is considered the most comprehensive textbook on the subject to date, “Violence: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Causes, Consequences, and Cures” (Wiley-Blackwell, 2019) and she has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and chapters, 17 edited scholarly books and journal special issues, and over 300 op-eds in outlets such as the Guardian, the New York Times, the Boston Globe, the Independent, and Politico.
The World Mental Health Coalition is an educational organization that assembles mental health experts to collaborate with other disciplines for the betterment of public mental health and public safety. It attempts to step in where the psychiatric establishment failed in societal leadership, or profited (as did the American Psychiatric Association) by protecting powerful political figures over the public.
Dr. Bandy Lee is searching for Family Court stories and is currently editing, "The Dangerous Case Of The Family Court." She is taking submissions for the book as well.

Marineka Bowman Speaks Out On Keeping The Unjust Decision Of DE Family Court Judge Natalie Haskins In The Spotlight Jan 30, 2023

Slam the Gavel welcomes back Marineka Bowman to the podcast for an update on her case. Marineka was last on the podcast, Season 3, Episodes 104, 131, 159, 160, 174 and 184. The last time she was on we discussed her daughter singing to her mother and the effects Judges and Attorneys are having on her child.
Marineka discussed her faith and how advocacy has chosen her as she held her daughter's dolls and said she will be holding them until her daughter returns to her care. She also talked about the element of FORGIVENESS and how she is forgiving, so she herself can HEAL, but even though she has forgiven the opposing attorney Laura Brooks and Judge Natalie Haskins, they still have to answer to God for their mistakes.
Also, Marineka explains why she wants this issue kept in the spotlight. This is to explain why and how her daughter was ripped away from her and how Alienation is being perpetuated by the father as he will not allow telephone calls with her daughter as well as Judge Haskins not filing her orders and Laura Brooks going along with it. The court continues to call Mother "crazy." This is commonplace in most courtrooms across the country, if not globally.
Marineka brought up that she thinks the judges should be RE-TRAINED and LOOK at the EVIDENCE before removing a child from the loving, fit parent. Now her daughter is constantly picked up late from daycare, is being held upside down and hit by the father's 17 year old son and they both continue to shave her daughter's head. Somehow the Judge Haskins DOESN'T CARE about how this is affecting the child physically, emotionally and self esteem. We talked about lawyers not acting in their capacity, such as Guardian Ad Litems.
The best advice Marineka also gave was to not get the same phone plans with your partner because if there is a break up, they can cause all sorts of problems with the cell phone....MORE to come....

Thomas Pepe And Ted Long Discuss The Probate Case And How Long Should It Take To Settle An Estate Jan 28, 2023

Slam the Gavel welcomes Thomas Pepe to the podcast for an update in his case. Thomas was last on the podcast January 9th, 2023, Season 4, Episode 6. Thomas lost his father in 2020 and he didn't even know his father had passed and didn't even know an autopsy was done stating that his father died of natural causes. However the will went missing.
Thomas's father had four children including a set of twins. This probate issue has caused mass havoc within the family. The siblings are using the courts to ruin Thomas's life and brag about it. The issue is the will was never registered with the state of Florida and now Thomas is finding himself as administrator and being forced into probate court.
Thomas wants to honor the deceased and honor his father's wishes. A motion for a continuance was put in and Thomas answered with a motion to deny the continuance for a hearing for wrongdoing and criminality. His Hearing is February 9th, 2023.
Thomas brought on a family friend, Ted Long on to discuss that this is a constant battle for Thomas with its ups and downs and how trying all of this is to him. Ted wonders why this estate hasn't settled in 6 months and why does this have to drag out so long. He Las added that this is ripping the family apart, the rollercoaster ride, the paperwork.
Thomas says there is a stench of evil and discussed how his father taught him to avoid toxic people and that they are like a cancer you have to cut out of your life. Thomas states that he can handle it but how his Father was treated like that bothers him and they are robbing from the dead and, "it saddens me that people have a lack of knowledge or do not care." Robert Hansen, Investigative Journalist Discusses The Problematic Facets Of Family Court Jan 26, 2023

Slam the Gavel welcomes Robert Hansen to the podcast to discuss the inner workings of the Family Court System. How does Domestic Violence lead to children and women being seriously injured or killed and why is this being overlooked by the courts.
Cases are going on a lot longer than anticipated and it appears that bias is ruling and not the judge. Judges and lawyers are operating inconsistently with bias and unaccountability. Whoever alleges mental illness, Parental Alienation or any other allegation FIRST will win their case. We discussed how lawyers have a role in this too. There is a non-profit agency in California that supports women, but instead refers them to lawyers who don't do much for them. That's why this is a multi-billion industry for the lawyers and Guardian Ad Litems. We talked about remedy such as Family Court could be torn down and rebuilt, as three years in Family Court is ENOUGH and a jury of six could evaluate the case and make the final decision.
We talked about Robert's cases involving a homeless Mother, the case of Terra Schlinger and her attorney fees totaling over $100,000.00 and how do judges make their decisions. We discussed how CPS puts kids into Foster Care so quickly and adopts them out. "Where is the best interest of the child?" Once a child is out of Foster Care they are out on the streets with no means of supporting themselves or education they are then subject to homelessness. There are few success stories.

John Sullivan Speaks Out On Being Bullied Into Adopting HIS OWN BIOLOGICAL CHILDREN Jan 25, 2023

Slam the Gavel welcomes John Sullivan back to the podcast. He was last on the podcast January 2nd, 2023 Season 4, Episode 2. John is from Holland, Michigan with a story about CPS "workers," that have falsified court documents against him. However, court system employees in Holland, Michigan allowed this to happen.
Cps workers had a two-year investigation against John's children's Mother and numerous CPS agencies from other counties have ties in Michigan also. John was never living with the Mother nor where they ever married, so all of the sudden John has CPS at his door they day they took the kids away from their Mother on May 20th, 2022.
This was the first time ever knowing anything about the whole investigation about the children's Mother and the CPS "workers" tell John that his children were homeless and living in the streets with their Mother. John was never contacted throughout any of this when they showed up on May 20th, 2022, saying they took the children and placed them in two Foster Care homes.
Now CPS has placed the same charges on him as the Mother and now John pays Child Support on his children that should be with him in the first place.
The Child Support comes out John's Disability check every month and CPS tells him nobody could find him and nobody knew who John was. John had asked the worker that day why was he was NEVER CONTACTED by anyone. He was told he was not able to be found.
However, John did get a phone call from Demitris Sterling regarding the "little" podcast John and I did on January 2nd, 2023 and this upset him and that he should cooperate with Ottawa County. John is also receiving court documents signed in either pen and pencil and no signatures as well as other cases involving other fathers. How can this be and shouldn't other father's names be CONFIDENTIAL?
Now John has learned his children are at Bethany Christian Services which is an adoption agency, where John is also paying approximately $400.00/month in child support and is being told that they are holding the money until someone adopts them and then those monies will be released to whoever has his children.
Even Judge Mark Feyen had John's 14 year old daughter in the court room to listen to the proceedings when most judges will not have a child in their courtroom to hear disturbing allegations.
No one is helping John, as he has reached out to news agencies, the Governor and NAACP. No one will help him get his children back where they belong with John in the FIRST PLACE and John openly blames the caseworker Elizabeth Muyskens for this whole disaster. NONE OF THIS SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED IN THE FIRST PLACE. If this can happen to John Sullivan, it can happen to ANYONE.

Emanuel Shetler Speaks Out On The Abuse Of His Children Within The AMISH CULT Jan 24, 2023

Slam the Gavel welcomes Emanuel Shetler to the podcast. This father has been sucked into the throes of vicious attacks against him not only in the Family Court in Keytesville, Missouri, but the Amish as well.
He left the Amish culture in 2018 and that’s the only thing he did. He wanted a better life and he asked his wife to leave with him and she refused. This would start his journey to this point of a cultural bully program so narcissistic and cruel, full of manipulation, deception, thievery and ultimate alienation of his children so dire and vile, that they hid the sexual abuse of his daughters for well over two years.
While the Amish mother continued to give the predator access, as she lived under the same roof as another sexual deviant who was finally convicted for the brutal rape of his sister (he later died within days of being in the penal system).
The government in Keytesville has shown itself to be so blatantly corrupt it’s unfathomable. This "CULT" culture shows the lows they will sink to to get what they want not to be exposed. His ex, after telling him of the sexual abuse of his daughters then filed false allegations calling Emanuel and his girlfriend and her then 16 yr old daughter child molesters.
Their attorney informed them that the mother's attorney wrote the ex- parte, yet he did nothing with that information, which now leads Emanuel to believe he was just as corrupt as them.
The judge awarded her custody even with her admitted drug use, failure to report sexual abuse and admitting that she only file the orders to keep him away from the kids. The judge refused him a court date for the restraining order which he kept in place for 1.5 years, further alienating him from his children.
This is a unique story that is so intriguing that EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT IT.

Michaela Wade, Co-Founder Of The Family Law Assistance Franchise, Discusses The Pros And Cons Of The Hague Convention And The Timing Issue Jan 23, 2023

Slam the Gavel welcomes Michaela Wade from the UK . Michaela was last on the podcast Season 2, Episode 116 and Season 3, Episode 175.
Michaela is one of the Co-Founders of the Family Law Assistance Franchise, which is a growing band of a new breed of legal practitioners who help people represent themselves in the family courts, using a mix of legal knowledge and coaching techniques.
Her background as a Master Coach and Hypnotherapist, as well as being an NLP and Hypnosis Trainer, means she has all the tools to help clients manage their mindset and anxiety and put themselves in the best possible position to win their case in Family Court.
We discussed the difficult issues regarding The Hague Convention and child abduction. We also talked about when a parent abducts a child to a non-Hague country and what can happen financially to the other parent. There are several countries including Japan that do not recognize The Hague Convention.
The Hague may be decently written but the interpretation gets watered down and that is where timing comes in. Check points and seizure of passports can be done but there are times a parent who is abducting a child can slip by and go to another country.
Very interesting discussion regarding a topic the public or judges may not know about.
