The first Halloween episode in Sex and the City history? We'll take it, even if LTW and Nya were the only ones to put on an actual cosutme. Carrie blocks a bike, is relieved when the guy turns out to be rich (read: dateable), then dumps him when he works two days in a row. Charlotte & Harry do a great couples costume then deal with Rock getting a modeling offer. Seema goes full Seemantha with a storyline that probably was literally written 20 years ago for our Liverpool Cleopatra instead, and Che watches a focus group say everything people online have been saying for a year. Guess what? We loved this. A good, old school Sex and the City episode with wacky stuff going on, goofy sexy laughs and as a bonus, a pile of guest stars. Candy Berg, Billy D, Victor Garber, Gloria Steinem, oh my! There are empty climaxes (Charlotte/Harry), a pair of terrible parents (LTW & MR LTW), a return to a more realistic, non-sociopathic human form (Miranda), and…a kind of disappointing professional reunion (Carrie & Candy Berg). But this ep was FUN, and had the best brunch in a decade.

AJLT 2.3 Chapter Three AKA MILF List Numero Uno Jun 30, 2023

Two things off the top, fair warning: 1) audio a little different from normal, apologies, and 2) this is our least favorite episode in the entire damn series…so far. Carrie struggles while recording her audiobook, and there are some nice, genuine thoughts about grief — mainly from Bitsy Von Muffling. LTW and Charlotte make the Milf list (cool) then get horny for a high schooler (actually illegal, indefensible???). Thieves run wild in a Fox News version of NYC, robbing Seema and Lisette, and Miranda completes her transition into the Queen of Karens and ruins a sitcom taping with no remorse. Good Lord, it has to get better than this!

AJLT 2.1 Met Cute AKA From Sex Montage to Met Gala Jun 22, 2023

The ladies — SO MANY LADIES — are back, and so are your fellas to talk about it all. We begin with a sexy montage to catch us up on who everybody is boning at the moment (or what Netflix they're watching), and most of our gals plus Anthony make their way to the Met Ball. Carrie's struggling to DTR with her podcast producer boy toy, Miranda is in LA also trying to figure out where she stands with Che, Charlotte is dealing with a whiny Harry, LTR is the busiest woman alive but sure knows how to spend 8 minutes when she has them, Seema is still with her club jabroni, and Nya has a couple of the best scenes in the episode, getting flirted with and getting drunk with a phone. It all ends in Carrie busting out a famous old look that, we'll be honest, we loved.

If you take a shot every time a famous person surprisingly shows up in the 2009 (but feels like 1998) movie, "He's Just Not That Into You," you'll be as drunk as Kevin and Jon are by the end of this thing. Several separate but interlocking stories make this sort of like, what if "Love, Actually" wasn't about love? And it all came from an episode of Sex and the City! The episode was 6.4, "Pick-A-Little, Talk-A-Little," and it spawned a phrase, a book, and this movie. It's a supersized episode, so make it last, Cidiots! We love and miss you.
