Diablo 4 is Getting Worse Jul 26, 2023

Show notes

It is clear that Diablo 4 is getting worse after the recent Diablo 4 Nerf patch for Season of the Malignant. The Diablo 4 Patch 1.1 arrived just before Season 1 and it caused backlash. The Diablo IV Campfire Chat honestly didn't make me feel any better. My time with Diablo 4 gameplay made me conclude that Diablo 4 is boring. They have promised that Diablo 4 Patch 1.1.1 will address some of the issues, but I believe a deeper problem with that game won't be solved anytime soon. Diablo IV is an action role-playing game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment and is the fourth main installment in the Diablo series. The game was announced at BlizzCon 2019 and is scheduled for full release on June 5, 2023, with early access starting on June 1. Public betas were released in March 2023. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/reforgegaming/message

PlayStation - What is Next After The Xbox Activision Deal? Jul 14, 2023

Show notes

Looking at PlayStation in 2023 and I have to wonder, what is next after the Xbox Activision deal? Jim Ryan and the PlayStation Showcase 2023 were disappointing for many Sony fans. And if the Microsoft Activision Blizzard deal goes through, will Sony acquisitions be the response? The Playstation acquisition rumors are heating up as Sony indicated they are going to increase investment in R&D, acquisitions, and PlayStation live service games. So are they going to buy Square Enix or Ubisoft or smaller studios? Rumors are swirling about FromSoftware as well folks asking for Capcom. What about the PlayStation 6 or the PlayStation 5 Pro? I for one think the PS5 Pro is coming in light of the rumors Reforge Gaming is a live talk show hosted by Lono covering the hottest and newest topics in a variety of gaming news with unmatched interaction, live event coverage, and question and answer segments. Armored Core VI - Should You Play It? Jul 12, 2023

Show notes

The latest Armored Core 6 gameplay has me asking, should you play it? With the release date around the corner a new Armored Core IV Fires of Rubicon gameplay footage is being combed over, and longtime fans are not happy. My Armored Core 6 trailer reaction was actually a lot stronger than I expected. And I really hope that the rumors about an Armored Core 6 demo happens so we can try it out. I myself have never played any Armored Core gameplay so I a hoping this one hooks me. Assassin's Creed News - Ubisoft Has 11 New Games Planned Jul 11, 2023

Show notes

The latest Assassin's Creed news is that Ubisoft has 11 new games planned. With Assassin's Creed Mirage around corner, I am curious if it will be enough to satisfy longtime fans. We also have rumors about an Assassin's Creed Black Flag remake starting to surface and the Assassin's Creed Nexus VR game. So I have to ask, is this too much? Will quality suffer with so much quantity? I also think that AC Mirage will not deliver what fans of the series are hoping for. And while I am really looking forward to Assassin's Creed Red, I have to wonder if this is an overcorrection after a lot of Ubisoft failures. Helldivers 2 Gameplay - What Is This? Jul 10, 2023

Show notes

The latest Helldivers 2 gameplay has me asking, what is this? There was a PlayStation blog and a brand new Helldivers 2 - Co-op and Combat Trailer on their YouTube channel. I actually think the Helldivers 2 co-op gameplay looks very promising, but I'm not sure what the content loop is. My initial Helldivers 2 reaction was pretty positive when it showed up during the showcase, but now I have questions. The video details Stratagems: "Stratagems return with bigger and worse weapons and gear than ever before. Find out how teaming up with friends may make or break your mission in HELLDIVERS 2." The new info from the latest Helldivers 2 trailer has one fact that I find worrying. Join the Helldivers to fight for freedom across a hostile galaxy in third-person co-op shooter operations. Developed by Arrowhead Game Studios. Coming soon to PlayStation 5 and Steam on PC. Diablo 4 - Do Casuals Matter? Jul 07, 2023

Show notes

The latest Diablo 4 news is right around the corner with a Diablo IV Developer Update live stream. But Asmongold recently reacted to a Comeback Kids video and I wanted to respond to some of what was said. With Diablo 4 Season 1 almost here, the Diablo 4 seasonal character reset is still a point of debate. My own experience with Diablo 4 gameplay made me conclude that Diablo 4 is boring. And while I don't think my core problems with this game will be resolved, I do think the seasonal format and season battle pass could be handled differently. Is Starfield Too Big? Jul 06, 2023

Show notes

In light of the recent Starfield news, I have to ask, is Starfield too big? The Starfield Direct convinced me this game could be massive. However, the Starfield 30fps news that came out after the Starfield showcase has me moving to PC to get a Starfield 60fps experience. Interviews about new Starfield gameplay details show a very ambitious game including the Starfield install size. I previously argued that this game could be GOTY 2023 if they can nail performance and size is undoubtedly a factor in that. Starfield is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. The video game was formally announced during Bethesda's E3 press conference in 2018. PlayStation Leaks Point To More Timed Exclusives? Jul 05, 2023

Show notes

During the Xbox Activision deal hearing with the FTC there were PlayStation leaks that I think point to more timed exclusives. Those who wanted the FTC vs Microsoft live streams had to accept transcripts. The FTC Xbox lawsuit now waits for the judge's decision, but the PlayStation documents that weren't properly redacted showed huge budgets for Horizon Forbidden West and The Last of Us Part 2. The recent Xbox news showed Microsoft had vertical foreclosure strategies modeled. We covered the FTC closing arguments that looked a lot at Call of Duty along with Jim Ryan's statements. The Xbox Activision Blizzard deal may not happen and those who want the Microsoft Activision Blizzard deal to close have to wait a bit longer. The Xbox Series S is Hurting My Series X Jul 04, 2023

Show notes

More Xbox news is coming out confirming that the Xbox Series S is hurting my Xbox Series X and we have Baldur's Gate 3 to thank for this information. Larian Studios sat down with IGN and the continued my believe that the Xbox Series X vs Xbox Series S battle is going to the Series S. The issue with Baldur's Gate 3 gameplay is that split-screen co-op can't get to the same standard on both Xbox Series consoles. We also have Baldur's Gate 3 release date info that was just updated. The description of the Xbox Series S is "Introducing the Xbox Series S, the smallest, sleekest Xbox console ever. Experience the speed and performance of a next-gen all-digital console at an accessible price point."
