Show notes

The latest Nintendo Switch 2 leaks sound crazy and even mentions the PS5. Speculation about the Nintendo Switch 2 release date is pointing to mid to late 2024, but what does it mean for PlayStation or Xbox and their consoles? The PS5 Pro and the Xbox Series S may look a bit different if the Switch 2 delivers what we are hearing. The latest Nintendo Direct Mario Wonder event clearly shows games are coming before, so backwards compatibility is a must. Beyond that, things like Zelda Tears of the Kingdom 30fps may be solved by what we are hearing with these Nintendo Switch 2 rumors. Show notes

The Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty release date is almost here and I believe it will be the 2.0 moment for the game. With the Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update landing at the same time as the Phantom Liberty DLC. In the latest Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty trailer entitled "Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty — New Ways to Play" they show all the updated systems and changes. Many are curious if they should start over when the expansion releases, and that is my plan given some of the latest info. Phantom Liberty is a new spy-thriller expansion for the open-world action-adventure RPG Cyberpunk 2077. Starfield Reviews Say It All Sep 02, 2023

Show notes

This will serve as a Starfield review roundup as well as my own personal Starfield first impressions from playing the game. I tried Starfield gameplay on both Xbox Series X and PC and will be doing a gameplay live show after this. I can already say that I greatly prefer Starfield PC gameplay vs Xbox but it is not the game many of us were hoping for. We will be looking at what the Matty Plays Starfield review along with Force Gaming and the Digital Foundry Starfield video to get a consensus. The thing I am looking forward to the most is the Starfield ship building but the reviews are mixed on how good it is and it shows up a bit late in the game flow. Starfield is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It was announced during Bethesda's E3 presentation in 2018. The game takes place in a space-themed setting, and is the first new intellectual property developed by Bethesda in 29 years. Starfield is the first new universe in over 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4. Xbox News - Baldur's Gate 3 Xbox Series S Feature Parity Dropped Aug 28, 2023

Show notes

The latest Xbox news is that Baldur's Gate 3 Xbox Series S feature parity has been dropped. Just 24 hours after Phil Spencer said it would not be and claimed that Baldur's Gate 3 splitscreen was a creative decision by Larian Studios. While this a win for gamers who wanted a Baldur's Gate 3 Xbox release date this year, this has far reaching implications. The continued debate about the Xbox Series X vs Series S will likely heat up because of this decision from Microsoft. I could also see Xbox first party studios having some hard questions for Phil along with all third party developers who have been taking issue with the Xbox Series S memory bottleneck. Baldur's Gate 3 is a role-playing video game developed and published by Larian Studios. It is the third main game in the Baldur's Gate series, which is based on the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop role-playing system. Starfield Leaked Gameplay Reaction Aug 24, 2023

Show notes

This will be my Starfield leaked gameplay reaction after watching all 40 plus minutes. Those hungry for new Starfield gameplay had their chance before it was taken down. My Starfield leak impressions are a bit mixed so lets discuss the good and the bad. The latest Starfield leaks continue to roll out after the review codes started going out. While we wait for a Starfield review roundup the leaked gameplay will have to suffice. And I found elements of the footage to be good and bad, depending on what you are hoping for. Starfield is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It was formally announced during Bethesda's E3 presentation in 2018. Xbox Series S Dropping Parity Discussion Aug 23, 2023

Show notes

Is Xbox Series S dropping parity even an option? In the wake of Baldur's Gate 3 taking the lead for GOTY 2023 an Xbox podcast suggested that Microsoft drop the parity policy for the Series S. Apparently Baldur's Gate 3 gameplay is just too good to miss out on. With the Starfield release date around the corner, many Xbox Series X owners are about to have a big game to play. But many feel that missing out on BG3 is just too big to not land in 2023. The issue with Baldur's Gate 3 splitscreen is finding new ground with games like Forza Motorsport 8 as they have to release it without splitscreen as well. So will dropping parity between the two Xbox consoles solve anything? Baldur's Gate 3 is a role-playing video game developed and published by Larian Studios. It is the third main game in the Baldur's Gate series, which is based on the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop role-playing system. The First Descendant Gameplay Looks Better Aug 21, 2023

Show notes

I think The First Descendant gameplay looks better in the most recent reveals and info blasts. The latest First Descendant trailer on the PlayStation YouTube channel shows off a lot of great footage of gameplay, combat, and boss fights. I think the game is pulling from Destiny, soulslike games, and other looter shooter games. Currently The First Descendant release date is unknown but there is a First Descendant open beta Sept 19-25. We will go to the official webiste and look at all of The First Descendant classes and their abilities. The First Descendant is a next-gen, cross-platform, third-person looter shooter developed by NEXON Games. Become a Descendant and fight for the survival of humanity with unique abilities to tackle both solo and co-op missions Reforge Gaming is a live talk show hosted by Lono covering the hottest and newest topics in a variety of gaming news with unmatched interaction, live event coverage, and question and answer segments. Starfield Review Info Is A Good Sign Aug 17, 2023

Show notes

The latest Starfield news is encouraging on a number of fronts. Recently on twitter Starfield review info became available thanks to a clash of information. While people debate about the Starfield Metacritic score I just hope we get a bunch of reviews. Now all we need is new Starfield gameplay to show up at Gamescom 2023. The Starfield Direct had tons of gameplay but the Starfield 30fps interview that came after Starfield showcase became the focus. I still think the Starfield PC requirements are confusing because I plan to play on PC for the Starfield 60fps experience. Starfield is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It was formally announced during Bethesda's E3 presentation in 2018. Is PlayStation Winning in Cloud Gaming? Aug 16, 2023

Show notes

A recent report makes it sound like PlayStation is winning in cloud gaming. Much of the Xbox vs PlayStation comparisons recently have focused on xCloud and Xbox Game Pass giving Microsoft and advantage over Sony. But PlayStation cloud gaming may have just leapfrogged over Xbox cloud gaming. The PS5 vs Xbox Series X comparisons are a tight race, but with the Xbox Series S causing issues with games and features many have suggested using the cloud to solve these problems. But a recent article from Jez Corden at Windows Central points to problems that Xbox cloud gaming is facing and big jumps for PlayStation cloud gaming. Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming also has alleged details about PlayStation Cronus now called Cronos. And with impending PlayStation Q Lite release date, it could be the first step in more commercial acceptance. Xbox Cloud Gaming is Microsoft's Xbox cloud gaming service. Initially released in beta testing in November 2019, the service later launched for subscribers of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on September 15, 2020. Xbox Game Pass cloud gaming is provided to subscribers of Ultimate at no additional cost. Xbox News - Forza Motorsport Missing Features at Launch Aug 15, 2023

Show notes

The latest Xbox news is that Forza Motorsport will be missing features at launch. With a delay and a small amount of Forza Motorsport gameplay fans have every right to be mad. But given that Forza Motorsport splitscreen is one of the missing features the Xbox Series S is squarely in the crosshairs. Forza Motorsport 8 vs Gran Turismo 7 is obviously an extension of this discussion since side by side comparisons are easily made. While we wait for the Forza Motorsport release date to see the genuine footage, it seems that even after a delay this game is not ready for release. And once again the Xbox Series X console is potentially getting less of a game because of the Series S. Forza Motorsport is an upcoming sim racing video game developed by Turn 10 Studios and published by Xbox Game Studios. It will be the thirteenth main installment in the Forza series.
