Sea of Thieves PVE Servers Are Coming, But Not Really Sep 26, 2023

Show notes

When the Sea of Thieves Season 10 release date arrives, it will add Sea of Thieves Safer Seas which is basically the long requested Sea of Thieves PVE servers, but not exactly. My experience with Sea of Thieves gameplay has always driven me to hope for PVE Servers. In a recent Sea of Thieves blog as well as the director taking to Twitter, they explain what Safer Seas is supposed to be for the community. Those who love Sea of Thieves PVP gameplay think anything focused on purely PVE is a threat to the game. Let's discuss the game's future and why this could be good but is ultimately disappointing. Sea of Thieves is a 2018 action-adventure game developed by Rare and published by Microsoft Studios. The game was released in March 2018 for Windows and Xbox One; it was one of the earliest first-party games released for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Xbox Game Pass - Headed For Failure Sep 21, 2023

Show notes

The latest Xbox news that came out of a massive Xbox leak of emails and documents that they leaked themselves in a mistake in the FTC Xbox hearing, In one of the documents Phil Spencer indicates that if Xbox Game Pass doesn't expand enough by 2027, Xbox will leave the business. Yesterday we discussed the Xbox Series X vs S and the next Xbox next gen console coming in 2028. These Xbox leaks are huge because they show the Microsoft hardware strategy along with a new Xbox controller and how they will leverage xCloud for their future in gaming. Can they add enough Xbox Game Pass games in the future to sustain the business model? I don't think so. Game Pass is a subscription service offered by Microsoft as part of Xbox network. Launched on June 1, 2017, the service allows users to download and play video games for Xbox video game consoles or Microsoft Windows PCs from a rotating library, with the games remaining accessible as long as the user has an active subscription. Xbox News - A Next Gen Xbox Coming in 2028 Sep 20, 2023

Show notes

The latest Xbox news is coming with a ton of leaks from the FTC Xbox hearing documents that got accidently leaked. Everything from a new Xbox coming in 2028, to Phil Spencer wanting to buy Nintendo, to a Xbox Series X mid gen refresh, it is a lot to comb over. I will likely have to multiple shows about everything we have learned. But for now I want to discuss what this means with respect to the Xbox Series S and the future of Microsoft and consoles. It looks like the Xbox Series S vs X comparisons will continue even into the next generation. Some gamers aren't happy about the leak pointing to an Xbox Series X digital version on the way as well a new Xbox controller. This Xbox leak is considered one of the biggest leaks we have seen. Spider-Man 2 Gameplay Looks Even Better Than Before Sep 18, 2023

Show notes

The latest Marvel's Spider-Man 2 gameplay trailer makes the game look even better than before. I want to breakdown all the Spider-Man 2 PS5 features and new info from the latest PlayStation blog and State of Play. My Spider-Man 2 reaction to the latest trailer was that it looked better than I expected. We will be looking at the Spider-Man 2 previews later today and make prediction about where a Spider-Man 2 review might land based on the early feedback and gameplay reactions that we see. Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, return for an exciting new adventure in the critically acclaimed Marvel's Spider-Man franchise for PS5. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Armored Core 6 Nerfing Difficulty? Sep 14, 2023

Show notes

Many are calling foul as Armored Core 6 nerfs Balteus and other challenging bosses. My experience with Armored Core 6 gameplay is limited but the the issue may be related to Armored Core 6 PVP being behind the first two chapters in the game. Armored Core 6 Balteus serves as what many refer to as a "noob filter" or a "skill check" and now they claim he is far too easy. The latest Armored Core 6 update nerfed 3 bosses in particular. So let's discuss difficulty philosophy, and why an Armored Core easy mode simply would not work, but it's more complicated than that. Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is a 2023 mecha-based vehicular combat game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. PlayStation State of Play September 2023 Rumors and Expectations Sep 13, 2023

Show notes

The PlayStation State of Play September 2023 rumors are heating up because the latest State of Play leaks are pointing to an announcement. There is also a clear expectation to see more Marvel's Spider-Man 2 gameplay along with a Helldivers 2 release date. And it wouldn't be a PlayStation showcase leak without Bloodborne Remaster news teased. I have been fully expecting a Spider Man 2 State of Play the same way they did FF16 earlier this year. But there is also the PlayStation Portal to think about along with the PS Plus price increase. Will any of this be addressed? I will put of my own PlayStation State of Play 2023 predictions as well. Baldur's Gate 3 - The New Standard? Sep 12, 2023

Show notes

Is Baldur's Gate 3 the new standard for big games or even just RPG style games? My experience with Baldur's Gate 3 gameplay is fairly limited, but I have been following the game and reaction to it very closely. So while I can't give a Baldur's Gate 3 review I will say the game is impressive for many reasons. There was a tweet from a developer that lead to a Baldur's Gate 3 IGN video that framed the whole discussion in an unhelpful way. This has been fueled by the Xbox vs PlayStation console war and many claiming that there was a Baldur's Gate 3 PS5 timed exclusive deal and that the Xbox Series S was not to blame for the late Xbox arrival. Baldur's Gate 3 is a role-playing video game developed and published by Larian Studios. It is the third main game in the Baldur's Gate series, which is based on the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop role-playing system. Starfield - How To Enjoy It Sep 08, 2023

Show notes

My experience with Starfield gameplay has changed a bit after letting go of some expectations and listening to reviews. While my Starfield review is in process and my criticisms still stand, I feel there are ways to enjoy the game. I'm sticking to PC due to Starfield 30fps on the Xbox Series X. The Starfield reviews were discussed yesterday because of the double standards I am seeing. This stream can be another good Starfield before you buy discussion. I will do another Starfield walkthrough today to help showcase what I talk about in this show. Starfield is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It was announced during Bethesda's E3 presentation in 2018. The game takes place in a space-themed setting, and is the first new intellectual property developed by Bethesda in 29 years. Starfield is the first new universe in over 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4. Starfield Review Double Standards Sep 07, 2023

Show notes

The Starfield review double standards continue to emerge the more I look at them. My experience with Starfield gameplay quickly drove me to PC due to Starfield 30fps on the Xbox Series X and I was still fairly disappointed. The Starfield reviews have a lot of themes that I noticed and want to discuss. This stream can serve as a great Starfield before you buy discussion. I will not be doing a Starfield walkthrough but we will be diving back into a gameplay live stream after this show. Starfield is an action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It was announced during Bethesda's E3 presentation in 2018. The game takes place in a space-themed setting, and is the first new intellectual property developed by Bethesda in 29 years.
