The latest Starfield news comes in the way of a commercial that states "No Console Required" at the end. I think this points to a continued evolution of the Xbox consoles and ecosystem. Those hoping for new Starfield gameplay will likely have to wait for Gamescom 2023 and the Xbox theater presentation. The Starfield Direct had 25 minutes of gameplay but the Starfield 30fps news that followed the Starfield showcase and became the focal point. And as people have asked for more marketing may find the new commercial worrying. Recently the Starfield PC requirements are confusing especially if you plan to play on PC for the Starfield 60fps experience. Starfield is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. In the wake of the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 announcement I can't help but talk about why I don't care. After just one year seeing COD MW3 release feels strange for a variety of reasons. I don't think anyone expected Call of Duty MW3 this fast and many just assumed it was going to be MW2 DLC instead. My experience with Modern Warfare 2 was incredibly mixed and mostly disappointing. COD MW2 gameplay was clearly not ready and filled with bugs and glitches. Most of us expected a Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 DLC instead of a sequel this fast. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III launches on November 10. The game is expected to be released across PlayStation and Xbox consoles, in addition to PC. The Baldur's Gate 3 release date has made one thing clear, GOTY 2023 just got harder. Many thought that Zelda Tears of the Kingdom had it in the bag, but more and more games are making that less certain. Seeing a Baldur's Gate 3 GOTY nomination and subsequent win would not surprise me. We already did a Baldur's Gate 3 review roundup and I was surprised at the overwhelming response. But now, over the weekend the Baldur's Gate 3 steam charts absolutely blew all expectations away. I am surprised at my own interest into Baldur's Gate 3 gameplay after the recent crazy rise in popularity. So the debate will start to stir up about The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Final Fantasy 16, Spider-Man 2, Starfield, and now BG3 is in the mix. When we look at Path of Exile 2 vs Diablo 4 some think we are looking at the next Diablo 4 killer. The latest Path of Exile 2 gameplay is making waves and the obvious comparisons to Diablo 4 gameplay are pouring in. Many anticipate that their Path of Exile 2 review will be pitted against Diablo IV. While I have never played POE gameplay myself, I will say that POE 2 gameplay greatly interests me. And given my own frustrations with it I can definitely see the Diablo 4 vs Path of Exile 2 comparisons getting traction. I want to talk about Starfield and the danger of hype. Recently the lack of new Starfield gameplay and marketing has the community both calling foul and going wild with speculation. I believe that the PS5 Pro will be market disruptive given the recent PS5 Pro leak that has come out. The rumored PS5 Pro specs sound very promsing but the latest Digital Foundry PS5 Pro commentary questions how Sony will pull it off. Some even think that a PlayStation 5 Pro is not necessary and that 8k gaming is not in demand. The current speculation is that the PS5 Pro release date will land late 2024. The Xbox Series S is proving to be a failed strategy from Microsoft. A recent article from Windows Central paints a bleak picture, but echoes much of what I've been saying for years. The Lords of the Fallen extended gameplay presentation shows faster combat, lots of magic, co-op gameplay, and more. Let's take a look at the Lords of the Fallen new gameplay footage. The Ratchet And Clank Rift Apart PC port by Nixxes is receiving praise, but restarting an ongoing debate about the PS5 SSD and what Insomniac said in the past. I will give you a brief Ratchet And Clank Rift Apart PC review based on my gameplay session from yesterday as well. My experience with the Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart PC gameplay was mostly very good with some minor issues.
