Stay ConnectedAmanda and John, friends for over 20 years, come together to discuss all things Sex and the City (and SATC adjacent!). Join us as we lovingly snark along with each episode, and feel all those feels from the early 2000’s. The fashion, the storylines, the friendships, the MEN. Some are outdated, but so many more are just timeless!

Is this one of the most iconic episodes of the entire series, or has every storyline in here become pretty out dated? As it turn out, two things can be very true at the same time. While this episode perfectly captures the humidity of summertime in New York and. the fashion is ON POINT, its no longer really a THING to judge someone for having to live with their family, or to be shocked by the appearance of marijuana on our tv screens. But back in the late 90's, we were happy to see that 420 representation! Also, Trey continues to be the absolute WORST baby adult ever, and refuses to acknowledge that his issue in the bedroom needs to be DEALT WITH. Also, Miranda gets braces. Enjoy!!!

It’s week two of the L.A. episodes…and week 25 of the girls’ trip, according to the timeline being fed to us here! Many questions are left out in the universe…such as:
1) who is funding this weeks-long vacation after Carrie decided to blow off her meetings?
2) how long would these women have to be gone to warrant Charlotte feeling to meet them because she misses them too much and can no longer cope with their absence?
3) why did we ever think that Hugh Hefner was somebody to be celebrated?
4) is Miranda boning this formerly hideous and grotesque writer friend?
5) why isn’t Jan from The Brady Bunch Movie more famous?
Even if we never get these answers, we at least are given some iconic fashion moments and tons of celebrity cameos! A truly solid episode. Enjoy!!!

In the wake of Carrie’s breakup with Aiden, she decides to REALLY make it all about her by inviting her friends to L.A. to watch her complain and whine about having to take meetings with hot celebs, while simultaneously making really passive aggressive comments to said “besties”. Samantha has a fling with a dildo model, Miranda wishes she could put her sexuality right out there (turns out she cannot), and Charlotte tries to figure out if Trey’s “issues” are physical or emotional. Shoulda slept with him in the first date, Char! Enjoy!!!

It’s Charlotte’s wedding WEEK, so of course it’s ALL ABOUT CARRIE! Carrie grapples with whether or not to tell Aiden about your affair she could have ended multiple times, and Charlotte begs her to wait until after the wedding (guess what Carrie does?). Meanwhile, Miranda poses as a flight attendant, Samantha has a week long tryst with a hot Scottish groomsman, and Trey is unable to prove himself in bed. WHOOPSIES! Enjoy!!!

Carrie and Big’s affair zooms along at warp speed, so fast, in fact, that we wonder if they had just made it another couple dates without being caught, would this have just kind of wrapped itself up? Samantha is worried about getting her first AIDS test, and Miranda has some “light banter” with a sandwich that would definitely have gotten the dude cancelled in today’s society. Lastly, Charlotte hires Anthony as her wedding planner. Enjoy!!!
