37: Strip Dreidel and Festive Dinosaurs: Double Holiday
Dec 21, 2021
Show notes
Holidays are for friends and family so we have solicited the help of Hannah and Katie: hosts of One Kiss Means Forever podcast for this episode. We're recapping Double Holiday, which means we have twice the fun! This movie stars Carly Pope as Rebecca Hoffman and Kristoffer Polaha as Chris Coulter. Rebecca and Chris are vying for the same VP position and are rivals, until they must work together to plan the perfect company Christmas party. Great news for Chris who loves Christmas, bad news for Rebecca who’s Jewish and has little experience with the holiday. In this episode we realize that Hannah is the Jewish MacGyver and gives us all the Hanukkah secrets like using birthday candles in the menorah and the unsung holiday hero- jelly donuts. While Katie regales us with all things Christmas, including the potential names for her Christmas tree: either Spruce Willis or Brendan Fraser Fir. We also explain how the dewy glow of our heroine might be the oil heavy Hanukkah food and heavily push Passionflix subscriptions even though they are not a sponsor. So pull out your menorahs and Christmas trees and join double the hosts for this Double Holiday.
36: Waving Knives & A 4 Layer Cake of Feelings:Boyfriends of X-mas Past

Tis the Holiday Season and we give you our most 'controversial' episode. We both have strong feelings about Boyfriends of Christmas Past starring Catherine Haena Kim as Lauren Kim and Raymond Ablack as Nate Sagar. Longtime friends Lauren and Nate spend (yet another) Christmas together. Nate is in love with Lauren but the feelings aren't mutual. Or are they? Lauren is visited by 4 former 'ghost' boyfriends who urge her to look closely at her true feelings. In this episode we discuss font dirty talk and who would visit us for life changing messages (hint none of our exes). We also gush over all the eye candy in this film and it's probably the only thing we agree on. Join us for this turbulent tale where knives are raised and lives are changed by The Boyfriends of Christmas Past. Episode drops December 14th.
35: Confiscated Reindeer & A Pocket Full of Underwear: Santa Stakeout
Dec 07, 2021
Show notes
We are a sleigh bells throw from Christmas and this week we have a festive mystery. We're covering the Santa Stakeout: starring Tamera Mowry-Housley as Detective Tanya Morris and Paul Campbell as Detective Ryan Anderson. Detective Morris is a rookie who is determined to prove herself. Even when she is paired with the surly veteran Detective Anderson in an undercover assignment to solve several art heists. In this episode we give unqualified advice on when you should retain a lawyer (hint ALWAYS even if you're really REALLY innocent). We discuss the merits of passive aggressive decorating and contemplate why Paul Campbell 'gives good brow.' The carols keep coming so we hope you stroll the snowy streets with us as we try to solve the Santa Stakeout.
34: Butt Dials & Hip Thrusts for Baby Jesus: Love Hard
Nov 30, 2021
Show notes
It's the 5th Tuesday of the month, so it's time for another non-Hallmark movie. This month we chose Love Hard starring Nina Dobrev as Natalie and Jimmy O. Yang as Josh.Natalie thinks she has found the man of her dreams, Josh, on a dating app. She travels across the country to surprise him but he is not what she expected. In this episode: we ponder what it would take for us to eat questionable, car baked potatoes, we pinpoint what our ideal guy candle scents would be and coordinate a future 80's style photo shoot, complete with laser background. We let the glowing baby Jesus take the wheel in this episode and hope you ride along as we find Love Hard.

This week we are taking some time off to spend with our families but we are re-releasing a collaboration we did with the wonderful ladies from the One Kiss Means Forever podcast, Hannah and Katie. We called it One Dry Kiss Means Forever and we covered the movie: It's Christmas, Eve, starring Tyler Hines and Leanne Rimes. The sound quality is a little rough in parts but we had a lot of fun recording it and hope you enjoy it. Please check out the podcast One Kiss Means Forever and we hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
32: Club Crone vs. Club Spinster: Christmas Comes Twice
Nov 16, 2021
Show notes
Christmas in November is rolling right along with our next movie: Christmas Comes Twice, starring Tamara Mowry-Housley as Cheryl and Michael Xavier as George. Cheryl gets on a magical ride that transports her back in time, where she is forced to reconsider her past choices including a contentious relationship with her childhood rival George. In this episode we shamelessly market our kissing coach services, contemplate why you would choose gutters over life and bend the narrative to include our heroine leaving a bad date, and drinking stolen chardonnay from a twisty straw. We hope you take this ride with us on the most anticlimactic carousel as we travel to a place where Christmas Comes Twice.
31: God Fist Bumps and Finger Guns: A Godwink Christmas
Nov 09, 2021
Show notes
It's Christmas in November and we are 'gifting' you a Godwink Christmas. This movie stars 2 of our favorites: Paul Campbell as Gery, a small town inn keeper and Kimberley Sustad as Paula, an antiques appraiser. These two are smack dab in the path of a Godwink. Where the 'Powers that Be' keep guiding them into each other's lives. In this episode we speculate about 'The Almighty' donning a polyester tracksuit, how tree stumps don't grow on trees and experience our first erectile dysfunctional movie ending. We feel a little betrayed by the Godwink but we'll still wink back and add a couple of fist bumps and finger guns. We hope you join us for all the holy rolling we do. There was a Giles Panton interview that I forgot to reference the source on. It was the Hallmarkies Podcast - Episode November 25, 2018 and it was DELIGHTFUL
30: Blanket Fort of Solitude: The Nine Lives of Christmas
Nov 02, 2021
Show notes
Our first Christmas in November movie is The Nine Lives of Christmas starring Kimberley Sustad as Marilee and Brandon Routh as Zach. Marilee has her eye on the prize. Her sole focus is on finishing vet school until she meets Brandon. He has a fear of commitment and is happy being single until she and a cat named Ambrose enter his world. In this episode we speculate about the effectiveness of doily bras, give puffy coat etiquette, champion 'Chests for Charity' (even though it's not Octo-bare anymore) and give depressing cougar facts. We are not 'kitten' around, about how much we like this movie, so we hope you join us as we purr-fectly recap The Nine Lives of Christmas. Episode drops November 2nd.
29: Drunken Rapping & Sexy Hamburger Costumes: A Kind of Magic
Oct 26, 2021

Our last Octo-Bare Chested episode is also our Halloween episode, full of magic and kisses as dry as a witches broom. We are covering A Kind of Magic aka You Cast a Spell on Me. It stars Nikki Deloach as Sara and Ryan McPartlin as Matt. Sara, a 'regular' girl, inadvertently steals the warlock Matt's powers when they kiss and mayhem ensues. In this episode we discuss what we would do with magical powers (hint: it involves Ryan Paevey and ice cream sandwiches). Corinne does some Jesus math and we promote our new, fake party planning business, complete with mediocre decorations and us running in sprinklers. We are stirring our potions and hope you join us for A Kind of Magic aka You Cast a Spell on Me.
28: Nature Mansplaining & Weather Predicting Boobs: Love In The Forecast

Show notes
Don't blink or you'll miss the very small shirtless scene in this Octo-Bare Chested episode. We're covering Hallmark's Love in the Forecast starring Cindy Busby as Leah, Christopher Russell as Mark and Nelson 'Mother F**king' Wong as George. Leah is a city girl who's trying to get ahead in the wide world of meteorology until Mark, her new neighbor, teaches her the power of nature in predicting the weather. In this episode we discuss the 'rare occurrence' of ladies changing light bulbs, how to predict rain with an imaginary ant farm and Corinne sings an original ditty called 'Back Away From That Man' (The title says it all). We are wetting ourselves with the downpour of feels we have over this movie. So, bring your umbrella and join us for Love in the Forecast.
