27: Flocks of Flipping the Bird: Unleashing Mr. Darcy
Oct 12, 2021
Show notes
We are deep into our Octo-bare chested month with Unleashing Mr. Darcy starring Cindy Busby as Elizabeth and the very fetching Ryan Paevey as Mr. Darcy. This Hallmark movie is very loosely based on the book Pride and Prejudice and we are not proud that we loved it so much. In this episode we discuss: how the batteries are dead in our biological clocks, the art of styling an anorexic ponytail and how macaroons definitely aren’t cake! We were begging for more shirtless action and we got it with this movie.
26: Waving Bras in the Air, Like We Don't Care: Yes, I Do
Oct 05, 2021
Show notes
Break out the chapstick, things are about to get moist. This is the first episode in our Octo-Bare Chested series and we are doing Yes, I Do. Starring Jen Lilley as Charlotte and Marcus Rosner (and his pectoral muscles) as James. Charlotte is a chocolatier that has left her fiance James at the altar..twice! They are having reservations about giving it a third try. Until James's ex Nicole enters the picture and throws a wrench in all the plans and feelings. In this episode we can't wait to see James's propeller or visit his big long hanger-because he's a helicopter mechanic. We give an award worthy performance of ODK theater and get a few hairs short of hostile in many parts of our retelling. Do we love this episode? Yes we do. And we hope you say Yes, I Do too after hearing it. Episode drops on Corinne's Birthday October 5th.
25: A Hot Air Balloon Filled With Bodily Gases: Love for Real

Show notes
Next we are doing Love for Real. It's the last episode in our You've Won Love series and a sneak peek into our Octo-Bare Chested month. This movie stars: Chloe Bridges, Taiana Tully, Scott Michael Foster and Corbin Bleu (who's shirtless for a bit). It's about two friends who go on a reality show to further their careers. Chaos ensues, especially when they find the potential for true love(?). In this episode we discuss: all the glorious pecs in Hallmark movies, the importance of punctuation, our penmanship neurosis and Corinne sings a very fashionable rendition of the star spangled banner. We are sad to say that we have not won love in September but are excited to reveal everything that's coming up in October.
24: A Tray Of Colorful Penises: Love, Take Two
Sep 21, 2021
Show notes
We are back for another installment of 'You've Won Love' with the movie Love Take Two. This perfectly Ok movie stars: Heather Hemmens as Lily, a reality show TV producer and Cornelius Smith Jr. as Scott, an antique shop owner. Lily and Scott have history but must keep their past under wraps, as Scott is engaged to someone else and Lily's reality show position depends on it. In this episode we get our first hug that should come with a PG rating. We argue why you shouldn't let people pick your food. Unless you're talking to Corinne, she has some strong opinions on coffee. And come up with a record amount of euphemisms for sexy things (that we are quite proud of). So we hope you join us for a lot of chuckles, where we chuckle about chuckling, as we watch Love Take Two.
23: So Many Poles, So Little Time: My One & Only
Sep 14, 2021
Show notes
This week is our second installment in You've Won Love and we've picked a doozy. We cover My One and Only which is almost like 2 movies in 1. It stars Pascale Hutton as Stephanie, a realist who is roped into a reality love show by her bestie. She travels across the country to a Wyoming ranch. Where she meets Alex, played by Sam Page, who's definitely not her on screen love interest. There is animosity between them (and us as we call Alex-Asshat for a large portion of the show) which turns into affection. In this episode: we ponder if berry picking is a euphemism for something sexier, how to be the worst tour guide in Wyoming (hint: be stingy with your poles) and threaten 'reality show love' on each other. We are excited to experience ranch life. And hope you stick around with us, as we cattle prod this budding romance, on My One and Only.
22: Uncute Bracken & Hate Sex with Crepes: Beverly Hills Wedding
Sep 07, 2021
Show notes
Our September theme is 'You Have Won Love'. and our first movie is Beverly Hills Wedding. It stars Brooke D'Orsay as Molly and Brendan Penny as Cory. Molly is an overzealous sibling who has taken over her little sister Sophia's nuptials and Cory the best man (and Molly's ex) tries to reign her in, as they are all whisked away to a 'dream wedding' in Beverly Hills. In this episode we take a tour of bad boyfriends and Los Angeles. We discuss the merits of honeymooning with your brother and whether the newly engaged couple pushed their beds together before the proposal (gasp). There are plenty of twists, turns and bad renditions of the Weezer song. So join us in SoCal, we'll try to avoid the traffic on our way to a Beverly Hills Wedding. Episode drops September 7th.
21: Snap Fights & Punching Keanu Reeves : Always Be My Maybe
Aug 31, 2021
Show notes
It's another 5th Tuesday and this month Corinne chose Always Be My Maybe, starring the very hilarious and gorgeous duo Ali Wong (as Sasha) and Randall Park (as Marcus). Sasha and Marcus are childhood crushes & friends that lose touch after a nasty fight. They live very different lives until fate and Veronica (played by Michelle Buteau) bring them back together. And the sparks fly, in more ways than one. In this episode we discuss: fish sauce ice cream, threaten to get into a Gubi chair regifting battle, and make up new words like manag-isstant (which is a mash up of manager & assistant). We hope you join us on this sweet, sweet ride, from the back of a vintage 90's Toyota Corolla. We can pick you up on the way to 'Always Be My Maybe'.
20: Aggressive Waterfalls & A Wee Bit of Whiskey: As Luck Would Have It
Aug 24, 2021
Show notes
Our last episode of Augustation Libation is: As Luck Would Have It! This is our most Mc-Serious episode which is fitting since it's set in Ireland. This episode stars the lovely JoAnna Garcia Swisher as Lindsey Johnson and the Irish Eyes of Brennan O'Brien played by Allen Leech. Lindsey is an American real estate developer who's trying to purchase a historic castle in Kilabbey which is Brennan's hometown. He's not going to make it easy for her and neither is the town council (who bear a strong resemblance to a bunch of high school mean girls )! In this episode we cover alleged goat shenanigans, overuse our favorite Irish catchall phrase and discuss what we think about speed dating (a little bit yes and a little bit no). We also channel our inner Lucky Charms Leprechaun with a bunch of bad accents and hope you forgive us because As Luck Would Have It, we have the best listeners and that's also the name of this week's movie.
19: Ice Wine Slurpees & Biscuit Croissants: Paris, Wine & Romance
Aug 17, 2021
Show notes
We are fully inebriated in our 3rd episode of our Augustation Libation. This week we are covering Paris, Wine and Romance: starring Jen Lilley as Isabella and Dan Jeannotte as Jacques. The title says it all: we are in Paris, there is a lot of wine and some romance which we retell through a very risque lens. In addition to all the 'sexy talk' we go over the 'Parisian fashion' of this movie and how much it reminds us of Golden Girls attire (circa. late 80's), the merit of wearing American flag bikinis at wine competitions and how closely this movie resembles 50 Shades of Grey (it doesn't but we bring it up more than once). This episode is so hot we need to take our bras off and hope you do to (or your bra equivalent attire) as we get comfy and take a trip to find Paris, Wine and Romance.
18: Chalkboard Buddies & Bung Holes: My Secret Valentine
Aug 10, 2021
Show notes
The rounds keep coming, our second installment of Augustation Libation is: My Secret Valentine starring Lacey Chabert as Chloe and Andrew Walker as Seth. Chloe is at a crossroads in her life. Her job, her future and her family vineyard. At the center of her vineyard troubles is Seth, a slick alcohol sales rep. (aka the enemy). In this episode we talk about the art of breaking and entering, the merits of keeping your cuckoo clock under the sink and how you "can't run a winery unless you have a penis"? We have a raucous good time with this one. And please hold all your questions until the end because you will have a lot as we share My Secret Valentine.
