Jordan Younger aka @TheBalancedBlonde on Lyme, Living Intuitively, & Spiritual Fullness Jun 21, 2021
    Show notes

It’s safe to say that Jordan Younger is one of the most well-known names in wellness. After choosing to part with her early identity as “The Blond Vegan” (a move which incited international controversy!), Younger has always been a bold, curious, courageous, "Wellness-Work-in-Progress"… however, after falling mysteriously ill, she became a whole new kind of “seeker,” as often happens when life throws an unexpected curveball.

From diagnosis to treatment to healing, she began sharing her powerful story around a topic on which she never intended to become an expert: Lyme disease. Her Lyme journey delivered to her a new - albeit “accidental” - purpose: to inspire others not just in wellness, but through resilience + recovery too.

Tune in to hear it all - the good, the bad, and the “celestial” - from this best-selling author, well-known blogger, and Forbes acclaimed podcaster.

Black Girl Magic with Cosmopolitan Beauty Director, Julee Wilson Jun 14, 2021
    Show notes

I think we can all agree that the past year has been eye-opening on so many levels with regards to race in America. From devastation came growth, and an expanded dialogue around equality.

As we approach Juneteenth this weekend, we are thrilled to welcome the amazing Julee Wilson, Beauty Director of Cosmopolitan. Julee is one of the strongest, most positive voices & role models for women in general, and especially for women of color. We love her message of real beauty, her challenge to companies to do better, and her intentional mindset to always “stand in her dopeness.”

Julee was one of the early definers of the cultural concept known as “Black Girl Magic,” and we can’t think of a better human to help us celebrate the beauty, power and resilience of Black women, today and every day. When she’s not making magazines, delivering beauty advice to her 68k+ followers on @missjulee, or shaping cultural paradigms, she can be found raising her two adorable littles - because this #momboss does it all!

Emma Heming Willis on CocoBaba, #MomBoss goals, and life with hubby Bruce Willis Jun 07, 2021
    Show notes

Emma Heming Willis is a model, entrepreneur... oh, and she happens to be married to the one-and-only Bruce Willis! Every time this cool-mom dynamo pops up in our Instagram feeds, we think: “I want to be friends with her!” Why? After a 20+ year career in fashion (gracing the pages of Vogue and the runways of Lagerfeld, Armani, and Dior), she made the ultimate pivot: she married Bruce, started a family, and became an advocate for WOMEN in all the right ways.

She advocates for babies born into poverty, founded an all-natural vegan skincare line for expectant moms called CocoBaba, and has a beautiful outlook on self-care, sisterhood, & female solidarity. Heck, she’s even friends with her hubby’s ex (yup, Demi Moore!) and they’ve all happily blended their families. If that’s not #GirlGoals we don’t know what is!

Tune in to hear her tips on life, love, being a WFH badass… and find out who “Lisa” is and why Emma thinks we should all banish her to outer space!

Re-Wire Your Brain for JOY with Radha Agrawal and Dr. Dacher Keltner May 17, 2021
    Show notes

We've all heard plenty about the negativity bias in our brain. But, did you know that we actually have the power and ability to retrain and reprogram our body to crave happy neurochemicals instead of cortisol (the stress hormone)?!

Radha Agrawal and Dr. Dacher Keltner are 4 months into collecting data on how dance and other modalities improve joy. They have developed a Happiness Quiz - the first comprehensive brain-body quiz that looks at multiple areas of your life and based on your answers delivers a "joy prescription" with what happy neurochemicals you need more support with. You can then "fill your prescription" with daily practices and activities designed to meet those needs such as breath work, yoga, forest bathing.

Tune in to learn how to practice joy and BE happier!

Be a Boundary Boss with Terri Cole, LCSW Apr 19, 2021
    Show notes

In our new COVID/WFH reality, boundaries are more important than ever. Boundaries, what boundaries…? EXACTLY. Because we ALLLL need help here, we are bringing back the boundary NINJA herself, psychotherapist Terri Cole.

In her new book, “Boundary Boss”, releasing April 20th, Terri teaches a specific set of skills that can help us stop abandoning ourselves for the sake of others (without guilt or drama) and consciously become empowered in every aspect of our emotional, physical, personal, and professional lives. Yes, PLEASE!

Most of us were never taught how to effectively express our preferences, desires, or deal- breakers. Instead, we hide our feelings behind passive-aggressive behavior, deny our own truths, or push our emotions down until we get depressed or so frustrated that we explode, potentially destroying hard-won trust and relationships. In order to avoid all of that unpleasantry, and live our best lives, we need to know: how can we become boundary bosses TOO?!
