If you are anything like me, then you've probably tried more than one (way more than one) planners or organizing systems. My experience most of the planners I tried to use have been so complicated they took more time than what I was getting back from planning. Either that or others that I have tried to use just became a to-do list and had little to do with strategically moving me forward. I felt like I had tried everything and it just wasn't working so I decided to create a solution myself. I spent about five years researching and studying how humans plan and achieve. What question should we ask ourselves? How should we create a plan to actually be successful? What is missing from most people's planning and execution efforts that hold them back? As I researched, I got better at planning myself, and as I pulled more information together, a clear strategy started to emerge. I started to see how as entrepreneurs the planning that we are doing is holding us back, it's actually taking away our momentum. With some simple adjustments, the planning we are doing will not only create momentum for us, but it will keep us there. Here's one of the major changes I made.

Years ago I was meeting with a friend of mine and I asked him if his company had a Vision Statement. He said sure, and then got up and walked out of the room. I didn't really understand what was going on until he walked back in with a framed copy of his vision statement and read it to me.

I remember asking him, "do you guys even use this?" His reply was no. They had hired a consultant a few years earlier who walked them through a two day offsite to create their vision statement and once they hung it on the wall, they didn't really think about it again.

His vision statement had the same problems that most do. It was completely and totally focused on the company, not on their movement, and not on who they serve.

There's a better way to get your company focused and going in the right direction.

653 - Creating the Billionaire Code Sep 17, 2020

When I was younger, I wondered if there was one true path to success as an entrepreneur? In my early career, my impression of business was that each was so different, that they all needed something different, so they couldn't be just one path.

But the more I study business, the more patterns emerged. I started to see similarities between all businesses, the foundational things that all of them needed in order to be successful. After decades of research, study, and real-world experience I created The Billionaire Code. A nine-level framework that shows exactly what you need to go from start-up to a 9 figure business and where you should be focused at each level. I can remember the day I first presented it to an audience. I was sure that I had nailed it, that the path was clear, but I didn't know if everyone else would see it.

As I wrote it up on the whiteboard and started to explain it, I got lost in the content and completed putting everything up without even turning around and looking at the audience. When I did, they were stunned. I got comments like "how did you figure that out?" and "how can I get a copy of this? Like right now!"

Every time I shared the billionaire code, entrepreneurs accept it as fact and many of them change what they are focused on so that they can create momentum. This has been one of the most exciting things in my entrepreneurial career.

For entrepreneurs, momentum is like oxygen for the rest of the population, we need it to feel alive, we need it to be alive. When we are in momentum we feel like we are unstoppable, we can do anything, and we are on top of the world. When we are not in momentum, we will do just about anything to get it back. Today we are in a situation where a lot of the world is out of momentum. Entrepreneurs everywhere are having a hard time figuring out how to make progress and move forward. As a result, you can see a lot of them creating fake momentum. Fighting with people online, chasing conspiracy theories, getting into political arguments, and more. For entrepreneurs, our productivity determines our success. It's difficult to make any argument to the contrary. What we are able to get done every day when we have a team or not, will determine our long-term outcomes. As an entrepreneur, I look for a habit that I can install in my life to help me be more productive all of the time. This is one of the reasons I'm so obsessed with hydration, it literally makes everything in your life easier. Another habit that is crucially important for entrepreneurs but so many avoid is getting restful, productive sleep. The more efficient your sleep is, the more effective and efficient you will be during the day. If you'd like to be more present, more aware, and even have a longer attention span so that you can get more done, then this is for you. I have a confession to make. Starting in March when everything went crazy, I stopped following this advice for a few weeks and it cost me. I feel more tired, more reactive throughout the day, and I found that I was looking at my phone way too much. It made it harder to concentrate in meetings, more difficult to get things done, and I even started feeling some anxiety. 649 - How to Legitimately Make a Profit Online Aug 27, 2020

It has gotten far easier to make a profit online in the past four or five years. There are incredible tools out there that are huge shortcuts. When Cadey and I first started selling online you would be shocked at how much effort it took. We had to hand-code websites, string together funnels, and everything was custom. Would you believe at one point we were spending over $1 million a year just on our technology team?!?!??! ...much less all of the platforms and tools we had to have. These days IT IS way easier. The problem is it's so easy, some people are making money online in a way that they really shouldn't. Can you relate? The amount of plagiarism, copycatting, and "lifting" of other people's materials has gotten overwhelming. There is a better way to do this and I would love to continue this conversation and inspire some positive momentum!

There is a serious problem in the coaching, experts, and information products industry. We all know it, but it seems like everybody's afraid to talk about it. It's near impossible to understand who's a real coach, who can get your results, and who is a fake. This challenge is the credibility of everyone who is a coach or runs an online business which just isn't fair. There are tons of people out there who have real expertise, real experience, and can help people get the results they want who are being damaged by this. Sometimes when somebody asks me what I do, and embarrassed to say that I have a company in the online marketing space It's gotten that bad. I want to help you get the help you need so that you don't get caught up in the dark side of this industry.
