This may be the most counterintuitive advice you've heard as an entrepreneur. During a discussion at our last event, one of my favorite memories Rachel Rodgers exclaimed "I'm just going to stop talking to meetings!" Given how crazy things are in the world, it's easier than ever to have conflict and get triggered. This is something that I've worked on for most of my adult life and I am still working on. One of the things I have realized about being triggered, is that when I am I often feel self-righteous. I define feeling self righteous as feeling like I am completely right, shutting out other options, and getting to the point where I don't hear anyone but myself or someone who agrees with me. When you look at an entrepreneur in a business, they are normally the first person that is willing to drop everything, jump in, and do somebody else's job for them. Entrepreneurs are in this habit of solving for everyone around them. What happens when you set up an environment where people are used to that? You set up an environment where your team knows that when they can't get the job done, you will jump in and save the day. The challenge with being an entrepreneur who's willing to jump into the tactics over and over again is that you create the expectation that you will always be in the tactics. Now, when you look at a coach of a sports team, they never take the field.
