Browns at Bills Predictions For Week 11 NFL Game Moved To Detroit

The Browns followed up their win over Cincinnati with a loss to the Dolphins in their last game. They will try to bounce back from the loss with a win over the Bills, which will give them their second win in their last three games.Cleveland is averaging 24.1 points per game. They are throwing for 217.1 yards and rushing for 158.8 yards per game. Jacoby Brissett completed 63 percent of his passes for 212 yards and one touchdown in the loss to the Dolphins. Nick Chubb had 11 carries for 693 yards and one touchdown, while Donovan Peoples-Jones had five catches for 99 yards. Cleveland has struggled defensively, giving up 26.4 points per game. They gave up 39 points in their last game and will need to play better if they want to win this game.

Don’t look now, but the Buffalo Bills have suddenly lost back-to-back games and are in third place in the AFC East. They look to get back on track this week against the Cleveland Browns and are more than a touchdown favorite. The NFL moved this game to Detroit due to the blizzard due to hit Buffalo this weekend. The massive snowstorm could dump several feet of snow on the area and cause issues for team travel, fan travel and the game. The over/under went as low as 41 points after opening at 47 points and it’ll probably go above that number now with this game being played indoors. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET from Detroit. The game will be televised on CBS.

The big issue for the Bills the past few weeks has been some sloppy play from superstar quarterback Josh Allen who has suddenly developed some turnover issues. He has thrown six interceptions over Buffalo’s past three games and also lost a crucial fumble in the end zone that allowed Minnesota to take a late lead on Sunday. Even though Allen led a game-tying field goal drive to send the game into overtime, he ended the game with a terrible interception in the end zone.

The Bills have one of the league’s best offenses, but they have no running game outside of Allen, who leads the team with 476 yards rushing. They need more from their running backs, and they need Allen to do a better job protecting the football if they are going to get back on track. The turnover problems in recent weeks have already put a dent in their quest for a bye week and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Cleveland still has one of the league’s best running backs, Nick Chubb, to help carry its offense, but everything else has fallen off a cliff as the season has progressed. The Browns enter the game, having lost five of their past six games to rapidly drop them out of contention in the AFC playoff race. The goal was to stay in contention long enough for Deshaun Watson to come back from his suspension and maybe give the offense a lift, but that has not happened. For whatever problems the offense has had, the defense has been a much bigger issue and has allowed 26.4 points per game. Only the Detroit Lions have been worst.

What Will The Browns Offensive Identity Be When Deshaun Watson Returns? Nov 16, 2022
    Show notes

In this video, Garrett Bush of The Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show and Jeff Loyd of the Locked on Browns Podcast be discuss what the Browns identity on offence should be when Deshaun Watson returns. Deshaun Watson is set to return to the NFL this season, and with that comes the question of what the Browns identity on offence should be. With Jacoby Brissett at the helm, the offence has been run predominantly through the air. However, with Watson back in the fold, the Browns will likely look to use him more in the passing game. In this video, we'll discuss what the Browns identity on offence should be when Deshaun Watson returns, and what that might mean for the team moving forward.

When the 2022 season started, the ceiling for the Browns (3-6) was to hand off a playoff contending team to Watson in Week 13. But something closer to the basement has unfolded for a variety of reasons. The only thing that matters now is reality for the franchise. The brutal truth is Watson’s return from an 11-game suspension is a starting point. It's an opportunity to put a team on the field around him and then accurately judge what pieces Watson can elevate, versus the positions the front office and coaching staff will need to revamp in the offseason. The fact remains that this no longer looks like a team that can be fixed by simply plugging Watson into a regular-season NFL game for the first time in 23 months. There are too many problems to be solved, ranging from coaching to talent to injuries.

Adding a patience problem on top of all that isn’t going to help anyone. Not Watson. Not head coach Kevin Stefanski. Not general manager Andrew Berry. And certainly not all of the Browns fans who are looking at the quarterback change as some kind of cure-all for this troubling and lethargic start.Of course, that’s not what many Browns fans want to hear. There is a segment that wants to believe that splitting the next two games against the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and then forking over a 4-7 team to Watson in Week 13 sets up Cleveland for a transformational run down the stretch. That finishing flourish under Watson would have to assume the defense could suddenly stop opposing run games or that Watson shows no lag from his layoff.

When completely healthy, Cleveland has some of that talent. More additions can be made this offseason. Not to mention whatever moves are necessary to shore up the run defense and the languishing of the defensive scheme that seems to be an extension of coordinator Joe Woods. But what has to be understood is that Watson isn’t going to answer whether Jadeveon Clowney is a viable defensive piece beyond 2022. Watson isn't going to solve the deficit at defensive tackle. He can’t make the offensive line healthier or add depth where it matters most.

What Watson can do is the only things fans should expect him to do for the final six games of 2022. Play clean and mistake-free. Protect the football from turnovers. Develop a rhythm with Stefanski. Stay healthy and seek out answers about which skill position players fit his game the best. If he can do all of those things, it will be precisely what Cleveland needs from this brief window that is ultimately setting up 2023.

Browns vs. Dolphins | The PFF Grades Are Shockingly Bad For Browns! Nov 15, 2022
    Show notes

Browns blown out 39-17 by Dolphins to fall 3-6 and hurt playoff hopes with Deshaun Watson returning to practice this week. The Browns headed into the Dolphins game on Sunday knowing they’d need every victory they could possibly get to hand over a contender to Deshaun Watson, who returns to the practice field this week. It's finally time to blow up this roster and staff! In this episode Garrett Bush of the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show gives instant reaction the Browns vs. Dolphins matchup. For years the Cleveland browns have been one of the worst teams in the NFL. But this off season the Browns acquired Deshaun Watson and things seemed to be changing! The dolphins are definitely a very tough team, but the Browns organization needs to do a lot of soul searching to examine if Stefanski and Andrew Barry are the answer in Cleveland.

But they were unable to build on the euphoria and hope from their 32-13 victory over the Bengals on Monday night football that improved them to 3-5 before their bye. Instead, they were blown out 39-17 by the Dolphins on Sunday to fall to 3-6 and put themselves in dire straits for making the playoffs. They remain in third place in the AFC North behind the Ravens (6-3) and Bengals (5-4), who were both on a bye. The Dolphins won their fourth straight to improve to 7-3. Jacoby Brissett now has two more starts before Watson takes over Dec. 4 in Houston with six games remaining. The Browns will likely need to win both of them to remain in the playoff conversation with a 5-6 mark for when their elite passer returns.

It certainly won’t be easy with Josh Allen and Tom Brady up next. The Browns travel to Buffalo on Sunday to face the Bills, and then host the Bucs, who evened their record at 5-5 with a victory over the Seahawks. The Browns came into the game knowing that they’d need to slow Miami’s No. 2-ranked passing attack, led by Tua Tagovailoa and speedy receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Not only could they not do that, they had no answer for the Dolphins running game, which was 29th in the NFL heading in with only 86.9 yards per game. The Dolphins outrushed the Browns 195 to 112 and piled up 491 yards of offense to the Browns’ 297. Brissett finished the day 22 of 35 passing for 212 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. He finished with an 89.2 rating and was sacked three times.

With the Dolphins’ brilliant new head coach Mike McDaniel -- the former Browns receivers coach — calling plays, Miami gashed the Browns on the ground with the one-two punch of Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson, who rushed for 65 and 119 yards, respectively, and averaged 8.1 and 7.0. Hill caught five passes for only 44 yards, but one was a TD catch. Waddle caught four passes for 66 yards. When the Dolphins weren’t running all over the Browns, they were attacking the middle of the field, which they knew McDaniel would do. They were just powerless to stop it. Pro football focus

3 Reasons The Cleveland Browns Will Beat Miami Dolphins In Week 10 Nov 12, 2022
    Show notes

3 Reasons the Cleveland Browns will beat Miami Dolphins in Week 10

The Cleveland Browns need a win in Week 10 and here are four reasons they will get that against the Miami Dolphins. A win in Week 8 changed quite a bit for the Cleveland Browns. They’re still just 3-5 on the season but they’re 2-1 in the AFC North and have just three more games until Deshaun Watson is allowed to return to the field. Those games will be tough as they face the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers but that doesn’t mean Cleveland can’t reel off a couple of wins in that stretch. In fact, we look at four reasons to believe they’ll start this stretch off with a win in Week 10 over Miami.

While he knows his job is temporary, Brissett has been a solid leader. He’s played as well as can be expected and has kept the offense focused. Now heading to Miami, where he was a starter in 2021, Brissett says he doesn’t care about going home — he was also born and raised in Florida — but that winning is the only thing that matters. Of course, much more goes into a win than simple words but the Browns are starting to sound like a confident team. Chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta said as much recently when he stated that good things are on the way in the second half of the season for Cleveland. It’s been nice to see a little swagger coming back as this team was struggling to find much hope during their four-game losing streak but suddenly sees a reason to believe.

Miami is dangerous through the air. That’s not surprising at all given the fact that they employ both Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill. Through their first nine games, they’ve already gained 2,642 yards through the air with 18 touchdowns. That’s good enough for second in the NFL in yards, which is beyond impressive when you realize they’re 15th in passing attempts. This means they’re eating up chunks of yardage with Hill recording 1,104 yards on 76 receptions (an average of 14.5 per catch) and Waddle adding 812 yards on 47 catches (17.3 per grab). That’s not going to be easy to deal with but the good news for Cleveland is that their secondary is finally healthy — and most importantly, Denzel Ward will be back. The former No. 4 overall pick from 2018 hasn’t had his best campaign but he’s still the fastest member of the Cleveland secondary. Ward ran a blistering 4.32 at the Scouting Combine and might be one of the few players in the league that can run with Miami’s explosive duo. While Ward was out due to a concussion, it afforded more snaps for rookie Martin Emerson and he was able to showcase just how good he can be. Throw in the fact that Greg Newsome is able to stick with almost any receiver and the Browns have the talent to keep the Dolphins from running away with this one — as long as they stay focused and disciplined, which has been the question this year.

This has easily been the best season for Nick Chubb in his five-year career. The former second-round pick out of Georgia already has 841 yards as he’s on pace to break his previous best of 1,494 with ease. He’s also set to shatter his career-high 12 touchdowns with 10 in just the first eight games. Chubb has three games with multiple touchdowns already and is second in the NFL in yards on the ground — and not that far behind the leader, Derrick Henry. As for the Dolphins, their defense hasn’t been great at stopping the run. After nine games, they’ve given up 1,057 yards and 11 touchdowns which means there will be a lot of running room for Chubb.

Why Denzel Ward Returning From Injury Against The Dolphins Is Huge! Nov 10, 2022
    Show notes

Denzel Ward has spent the last three games, plus one quarter, away from the field. That will change when the Browns Pro Bowl cornerback returns in Sunday's game at the Miami Dolphins. Ward has been out since sustaining a concussion at just under the 14-minute mark of the Browns' Oct. 9 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. It happened while he was trying to tackle Austin Ekeler at the end of a 17-yard run. The concussion led to Ward miss the next three games, losses to New England and Baltimore and a win over Cincinnati. The bye week, though, allowed him to continue his recovery while not missing out on any on-field time.

The concussion wasn't due to a violent head-on collision. As Ward was bringing Ekeler down, he rolled under the Chargers back, leading to his head bouncing off the ground. It was almost immediately obvious that Ward had sustained a concussion. He stumbled as he got off the ground, and medical personnel on the sideline took away his helmet almost as soon as he got to the bench. Ward wasn't surprised by the diagnosis. It was the third time in his NFL career he has been diagnosed with a concussion. That fact may be a cause for concern for some. Ward isn't one of those people. "I mean, it's not affecting me right now, so I'm good," Ward said. "My focuses on football, but I mean, I do wanna take care of my health then make sure I'm good and try to do the things I can to prevent it from happening again and just to keep my health up. So I think I'm good, though.”

None of the Browns' coaches have officially said Ward will play against the Dolphins. All coach Kevin Stefanski would say when asked about Ward on Wednesday was that he wasn't sure he was "fully cleared yet," but that he was "hitting all the benchmarks right now." Those benchmarks are part of the NFL's concussion protocol, which players must pass through before they can be cleared to play. The interest twist to Ward returning against the Dolphins is that the league adjusted the protocol after the uproar which came out when Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa sustained a concussion on Sept. 29 at Cincinnati just days after leaving and then returning to a game against Buffalo with what appeared to be concussion-like symptoms.

The protocol existed when Ward was a rookie in 2018. However, he acknowledges that it's changed from that time. “Yeah, in a good way," Ward said. "I definitely think it's a little harder than when I was a rookie and I had got a concussion. So I mean that's a good thing, though, taking care of guys and making sure they're ready to play once they get back.” If the Browns could pick exactly one team to get Ward back against, it may very well be the Dolphins. Miami is ranked second in the league in passing offense, with 293.6 yards per game, Tagovailoa is leading the league in passer rating at 115.9 and average gain per pass at 9.17. Of course, what's helped the third-year quarterback is the presence of two of the top five receivers in the league, Tyreek Hill (first in the league with 1,104 receiving yards and 76 catches) and Jaylen Waddle (fifth in the league with 812 yards on 47 catches).

Ward doesn't have any experience playing against Tagovailoa or Waddle, both of whom were still at the University of Alabama in 2019, the last time the Browns played Miami. He had two solo and one assisted tackle, plus a tackle for loss and a pass defensed in that 41-24 win in Cleveland. Who Ward is very familiar with is Hill, who was acquired by the Dolphins this offseason in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs. Hill's played against the Browns twice − in the 2020 AFC Divisional Round and the 2021 regular-season opener − and has had a combined 15 catches for 266 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown catch in last year's opener.

Browns vs. Dolphins Preview | Can The Browns Defense Slow down the Dolphins Passing Attack? Nov 10, 2022
    Show notes

The undefined head to Miami fresh off their bye week to face Tua Tagovailoa and the high-powered Dolphins passing attack in Week 10. Despite winning three consecutive games, Miami has frustrated bettors. After starting the year with back-to-back against the spread (ATS) cashes, the Dolphins have posted a disappointing 1-5 ATS (16.7%) mark over their last six games. Tyreek Hill, who leads the NFL in receiving yards (1,104), forms a dynamic tandem with teammate Jaylen Waddle who is among the league leaders in receiving touchdowns (6). Cleveland, who snapped a four-game losing skid in Week 8 with a 32-13 upset win over Cincinnati, will look to win consecutive games for the first time this season in this showdown.

    Browns vs. Dolphins Odds

    Moneyline: CLEVELAND (+165) | MIAMI (-200)

    Spread: CLE +4 (-110) | MIA -4 (-110)

    Total: 48.5– Over: (-118) | Under: 48.5 (-110)

    Game Info: Nov. 13, 2022 | 1 p.m. ET | CBS

    Browns Straight-Up Record: 3-5

Browns Against The Spread Record: 4-4

    Dolphins Straight-Up Record: 6-3

Dolphins Against The Spread Record: 4-5

The Browns, led by Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, own the NFL’s third-best ground attack averaging 164.6 rushing yards per game. The powerful duo, who have combined to score 14 touchdowns on the year, find a favorable matchup against a Miami defense that has allowed 10 total touchdowns to opposing running backs in nine games. As dynamic as Miami's aerial attack is, the team needs to find a way to get their running game on track. The Dolphins, who rank 29th in the league in rushing, averaging only 86.9 yards per game, are hoping newly arrived Jeff Wilson can help form a reliable tandem with Raheem Mostert. One area bettors could invest in is the game total. Miami has cashed to the under in all four home games, combining with opponents to only average 33.3 points per game at Hard Rock Stadium this season. However, this matchup finds the third-highest point total (48.5) on the board in Week 10.

3 Ways Deshaun Watson Will Make The Browns Offense Lethal Nov 09, 2022
    Show notes

The back half of the season is really all about Deshaun Watson’s December debut and the future of the franchise. Watson, who’s serving an 11-game suspension for multiple violations of the NFL’s personal conduct policy, was allowed to return to the team’s facility last month and will return to the practice field next week. He is eligible to play in Week 13, when the Browns visit his former team — the Texans — on Dec. 4. Last March, the Browns traded three first-round picks as part of a six-pick package to acquire Watson from the Houston.

Eight games into the third season with Kevin Stefanski as head coach and Andrew Berry as general manager, the Browns are three games from what all involved hope will be the last quarterback transition of the foreseeable future for a franchise that’s made a bunch of them through the years. Watson will be the 33rd starting quarterback the Browns have had since their return to the league in 1999. So this won’t be the first in-season transition, but it will be the one that defines the tenure of Stefanski and Berry — and almost certainly the one that determines whether the Browns can move past their rather forgettable record in the team’s new era. The Browns have had three winning seasons since 1999, the third of which ended an 18-year playoff drought in 2020, Stefanski and Berry’s first season in their current roles.

For the first time in 15 seasons, the Browns have the same head coach and general manager for a third season together. The Browns have built a strong running game and an offensive line, and what they thought was a strong defense has bounced back after a terrible stretch in early October. The Browns would have never made the Watson trade without believing multiple key pieces were already in place across the roster, and they made the trade in March believing that from a big-picture perspective Watson would be the piece that’s always been missing here, and that for this team he could be the player who helps make the Browns true AFC contenders — now and for years to come.

Considering what the Browns gave up to acquire Watson and that they only got Watson to agree to the trade by offering him the largest single-contract guarantee in NFL history, Watson is the plan. And after an awkward and tumultuous offseason as the Browns waited to find out if Watson could play at all this season, we’re about to see that plan in action.

Recapping the Cleveland Browns first half of the season with Sports Illustrated's Pete Smith Nov 08, 2022
    Show notes

Host Jeff Lloyd is joined by Sports Illustrated's Pete Smith to cover the Cleveland Browns first half of the season and to see if there is a recipe to beat the Dolphins on Sunday. Jacoby Brissett has been more than the Browns could have asked of to this point. Donovan Peoples Jones has benefited from Amari Cooper and David Njoku's prowess to turn himself into a much needed third wheel in the passing game. The rookies on defense, Emerson, Wright, and Thomas have all showed signs of being long term contributors in the Land. Miami is a tall task but if the defense continues it's upward play a victory can be had. #Browns #JacobyBrissett
