A Showcase, a Slither, and a Stripper! Jul 19, 2021

Show notes

A showcase on The Encore where Aubrey O’Day didn’t give an O’Damn, some SLITHER shade on social media between RHOP cast members, and an accusation of being a stripper. Yeah, we love them strippers, 2 CHAINZ (in my best Tinsley Mortimer voice)! You can expect all of this on this episode, as well as some discussions about the newest episodes of the Real Housewives of New York and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. BRB! Going to buy Erika Jayne some waterproof mascara… and to get some Depends for Ramona Singer.

This episode includes a voice message from listener Nyemade (also known as @thatafricanbutterfly on Instagram).

Timestamps are as follows:

8:35 - BET Presents THE ENCORE;

25:55 - rantings and ramblings about the newest episodes of RHOBH and RHONY;

46:25 - THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF POTOMAC;

It's Kern & Gizzy for Me! Karen and Gizelle for You! Jul 12, 2021

Show notes

IT GOES DOWN IN THE P! FOREVER AND ALWAYS! What shows could possibly make me drop a fourth episode within a week? BET PRESENTS THE ENCORE… duh… AND THE PREMIERE OF THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF POTOMAC SEASON SIX! Having Karen and Gizelle arguing on my television screen again just.. feels… like... nature is healing. One hot box at a time! Plus, I had to give my thoughts on Sutton vs. Crystal because… sigh… I’m getting annoyed.

4:00 - brief discussion about Sutton vs. Crystal on the REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS;

Show notes

The movie is DELAYED NO LONGER! Marvel’s “Black Widow” is finally HERE! If “Captain America: Winter Soldier” and “Atomic Blonde” or “Peppermint” had a love child out of wedlock, you’d get this beautiful, starry-eyed, murderous baby… er, movie? Movie! I talk about my love of Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, the incredible action sequences, and my experience BACK INSIDE OF THE THEATER!

This is a solo episode! No voice messages!

LOKI EPISODE FIVE IS HERE... and So Is Bart Simpson Loki! Jul 08, 2021

Show notes

The latest episode of Loki is also the penultimate episode of the (assumed) first season of the show, and it set us up for either the world’s best finale… or the world’s biggest letdown. I’m choosing to be optimistic because there are certainly a number of avenues down which Kevin Feige and crew can go. Let’s back up… we first have to discuss VOTE LOKI, Alligator Loki’s nexus event, Boastful Loki’s miraculous accomplishments, and everything else that made up that fifth episode.

LOKI EPISODE FOUR IS HERE... and the Time Keepers live in OZ! Jul 01, 2021

Show notes

TALK ABOUT A REBOUND EPISODE! Episode four of Loki is hands down the BEST of the season! You know an episode is great… when we get a post-credits scene. We always leave with more questions than answers, but I’ve never been happier to have questions. I breakdown the episode, theorize about upcoming episodes, and talk about the characters “introduced” in the post-credits scene. Download and listen to this episode before I get pruned… or eat prunes… both equally terrible outcomes.

This episode contains voice messages from listeners Katie and Anu, as well as Nela from the “Fix My Life” podcast.

Wednesdays Are LIT, and Cardi B Is PREGGO! Jun 28, 2021

Show notes

The BET Awards were so good this year! An entire award show whose theme this year was honoring black women… YEESSS! I start off by chatting about the highlights of the show, including Cardi B’s big announcement, Lil Nas X’s HISTORIC performance (that occurred during Pride Month), and much more! Then, of course, I gotta discuss Erika Jayne’s revelations on the latest episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Do we all believe her? I… don’t know, but I have thoughts. Then, OF COURSE, I cap off the episode with the reality show of the moment: “Bet Presents The Encore!” How in the world does this show get better week after week when it started off so incredibly strong?!

This episode contains voice messages from JV from Chicago!

Timestamps are as follows:

3:00 - 2021 BET Awards, Netflix’s “Sex/Life,” and the Bravo Pride Parade on Twitter;

21:00 - episode six of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (featuring voice messages from JV from Chicago);

43:40 - episode three of “BET Presents The Encore”.

LOKI EPISODE THREE IS HERE... and HESQUEERGETUSEDTOIT? Jun 24, 2021

Show notes

Ok… I’m not going to lie… I’m a tad shocked that this podcast episode is the length of a normal bonus episode. Maybe it’s because my nonsensical rant lasted longer than usual about the episode itself before I actually dive into the “meat and potatoes” of episode three. This episode felt a little slower than the first two episodes, but we can only go back up from here, right? So let’s focus on the positive. Listen to me theorize and discuss the latest entry into the MCU with Loki’s newest episode.

This is a solo episode, so no voice messages!
