Week 4 of Nostalgic November!
Sadly, we have reached the end of Nostalgic November but we had a blast revisiting some old and fun movies. Again, thank you to all of our followers who provided suggestions!
Luckily- we are saved the best for last because we had the chance to discuss the 1996 blockbuster, Twister.
Disaster movies are always hit or miss- they are either really really bad or really really entertaining. Twister definitely fits in the latter category. With a stacked cast, awesome VFX and some really iconic moments, Twister is a movie we find ourselves revisiting very often.
We discussed:
- Where does Twister rank among its disaster movie peers?
- How badly did YOU want to be a storm chase after watching this movie?
- What would a Twister sequel look like?
- Do we need more movies about Tornadoes?
and so much more!!

Week 3 of Nostalgic November!!!
Week 1 and 2 were fun, family friendly movies. And dont get us wrong, we really did enjoy those movies, but is there anything more nostalgic than Arnold Schwarzenegger(yes I googled that) kicking a lot of ass and delivering some classic one-liners?
This movie was a blast to talk about and we thank our followers on Instagram from the bottom of our hearts for suggesting this film!
We discussed....
- What other movie sequels are better than the original?
- Did Terminator Dark Fate ruin T2: Judgement Day?
- What famous movie cyborg would you want as your sidekick?
- Did you cry at the end of T2?
& so much more!

Our last episode before the end of the spooky season! And we are making sure to go out with a banger.
The Shining has it all: blood, suspense, creepy kids, ghosts, a crazy murderous father, some guy dressed in a dog suit doing unspeakable things. People have spent their career's analyzing the meaning of The Shining. Well- we didn't. We love it, but instead we talked about:
- would you prefer to stay at The Overlook or the house from Poltergeist?
- which hedge maze was scarier, this movie or the one from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire?
- give Doctor Sleep a different title
- why do people hate Ready Player One?

Happy Spooky Season!
Okay, maybe My Best Friend's Wedding isn't the scariest movie (but hey, Love is still very terrifying), this time we are officially embracing the Halloween season with one of our favorite horror movies of the 21st century.
We get it, with 7 sequels and counting, its easy to forget that Saw one is a masterclass in horror and suspense. But we are here to remind you! 2004's Saw is not only responsible for the resurgence of the splatter film subgenre, but it also gave us the genius that is James Wan and Leigh Whannell, two figures who will continue shape Hollywood going forward.
We talked about
- What makes the Reverse Bear Trap so iconic?
- What movie makes you appreciate life more, Saw or Click?
- Top 3 most memorable traps from the Saw franchise?
- Detective Tapp and Sing, how bad were they really?

What a better way to start October with the scariest thing of all time, romance and love!
Yes, we have started off spooky October by discussing one of our favorite rom coms, My Best Friend's Wedding. Charming, fun but above all else...complete messed up! In this episode we talked about
- What other rom coms have great but random musical moments?
- Who was a worse person, Julia Robert's character in My Best Friend's Wedding or her character in Notting Hill?
- If you could give this movie a post credit scene, what would it be?
And so much more!

The Shawshank Redemption is one of those movies that will forever be known as the people's champ. It won zero Academy Awards in 1994 (thanks a lot Forrest Gump) but holds the number 1 spot on the IMDB.com Top 250 movies of all time. What is it about The Shawshank Redemption that makes it so damn good? Well, we tried our best to break it down! Some things we talked about:
- Does The Shawshank Redemption deserve the number 1 spot on the IMDB top 250?
- Who was a meaner Warden, the Warden from Shawshank or the Warden from Holes?
- Where was Andy Dfresne's lawyer?
- If you could give the movie a post credit scene, what would it be?
- How long would it take Prison Mike to escape Shawshank?

1999 was easily one of the best movie years of all time. The Matrix, Fight Club, The Iron Giant, Office Space are just SOME of the movies that were released that year.
But in our humble opinion, Galaxy Quest was easily one of the most underrated movies of that year. Billed and promoted as a Star Trek satire, Galaxy Quest was so much more than that. Impeccable writing, brilliant performances from a star studded cast and above all else, its still hilarious! Some of the things we discussed:
- what would a post credit scene look like in Galaxy Quest?
- Buzz Lightyear vs Commander Taggart, who was more annoying?
- Would you want to re-visit the world of Galaxy Quest in a sequel?
