    Ep. 10- Up (2009) Jun 24, 2020
    Show notes

Bring out your box of tissues because its time to talk about Up.
Pixar is renowned for creating some of the most iconic and original movies to date. Up is no exception to this. A fantastic script with charming characters and probably the saddest first 10 minutes of film ever, Up should be considered one of the best (if not the best) in the Pixar filmography. We discussed:
    - Pixar perfection, is the most perfect movie in their catalog?
    - what was a more tragic intro, Up or Finding Nemo?
    - what do would you prefer to have as your companion, Dug or Buddy from Air Bud?
    - Where do Carl and Russel rank in your Pixar duos?
    And so much more!

    Ep. 9: Batman Begins (2005) Jun 17, 2020
    Show notes

15 years ago, Christopher Nolan rebooted the Batman franchise in a way no one has ever seen before. Batman Begins would change not only the comic book world, but the cinema world.
But it seems that many people tend to forget about Batman Begins...it falls in the shadows largely because The Dark Knight became a cinematic masterpiece (and deservedly so).
But don't worry! We are here to remind you that this movie still absolutely holds up and remains one of the top comic book movies in history! In this episode we talked about:
    - Batman Begins- the perfect origin story movie?
    - Could any other director have done this besides Nolan?
    - Katie Holmes vs Maggie Gyllenhall, who did you prefer?
    - does the Batmobile really need to be stick shift?
    - What was a more dangerous train, the one in Gotham City or the one in Unstoppable?
Quiz: Can you guess these superheroes/villains real names? (play along and compare to how we did!)

    Show notes

Hear Ye Hear Ye! Is there a human being on this planet who doesn't enjoy 10 Things I Hate About You? Yes, even the cinephile snobs have to admit, this is a pretty damn enjoyable movie. Billy Shakespeare provides the perfect template for a teenage rom com and you know what? This movie is damn near perfect. (keyword is near). We discussed this and so much more:
    - Is this the movie the world fell in love with Heath Ledger?
    - On a scale 1-10, how much did you cry during Kat's last poem reading?
    - Rom Coms- a dead genre?
    - Is this the most adult movie to watch on Disney+?

    - Super 8, Stranger Things or Loser's Club- who would you want to save you in a perilous situation?
    - Did Stranger Things kill any hopes to a Super 8 sequel or spin-off?
    - Why doesn't J.J. do more original work?

    Ep. 4- Spider-Man (2002) May 12, 2020
    Show notes

Before the MCU, before the DCEU, before any "U's" there was a brief period where super hero movies were being cranked out with only one purpose...to make a whole bunch of money.
Sam Raimi's Spider-Man was the first certified super hero blockbuster and it can be described as the catalyst that started it all. In this episode we talk about:
    - the most iconic movie kiss, in a comic book movie?
    - Maguire vs Garfield vs Holland- the age old debate
    - Bonesaw McGraw vs Captain Insano, who would win?
    - Will there ever be a Nickelback biopic?
    - Has this movie aged well?

    Ep. 3- Hook (1991) Apr 28, 2020
    Show notes

Hook is the ultimate nostalgia bomb and it seems like everyone has a fond memory attached to the movie. Whether its Julia Roberts as an awkward Tinkebell, Rufio being a complete badass or just yelling bangarang, but is Hook as good as you remember? Don't worry, we break it down and ask the hard hitting questions like:
    - Rufio the best thing about this movie? Was it a mistake to kill him off?
    - who would win in a baseball series of 5, The Pirates from Hook or the Vampires from Twilight?
    - is Captain Hook essentially the Joker of the Peter Pan universe?
    - who was the worse father, Robin Williams in "Hook" or Arnold Schwarzenegger in "Jingle All the Way"?
    - what percentage of people at the gym have "Bangarang" on their workout playlist?
    - is Grease 2 better than the original Grease (dont worry, we tie it in...somehow)
