    In utero – Prostate and breasts form from the same cellular components – family history of prostate caner could present as breast cancer, and vice versa

    Facts about 1 in 8 men diagnosed with prostate cancer / little history of Cancer

    Other factors that could make you likely to get Prostate Cancer

    Appropriate Testing – how modern testing is better suited to detect than in the pass

    If you get tested too often you can move malignant cells around and cause damage

    MRI Scans to look for Prostate Cancer

    Don't rely on just one test to get your best picture of where you are at – Triangulate

    Apex can discover prostate cancer when a patient is a stage zero, or double zero

    Testing needs to look for all things besides just Cancer cells in the prostate. Some "helpers" like Growth Hormone can make Cancer far worse

    What you need to think about if you are concerned about prostate cancer

    Hormone replacement can be very effective in making us feel younger

    When we use these there is a risk benefit that comes into play

    Factor in family history / make informed decisions on testing

    Heart Disease and You - Episode 88 Mar 31, 2021

    On this episode of Living Beyond 120, Dr. Jeff Gladden and Dr. Mark Young discuss the heart disease.

    They kick of the show revealing that heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States for males and females – regardless of race or ethnicity. They continue with the fact that one person dies from heart disease related illness every 36 seconds – that's 650,000 American deaths every year. Of the top five causes of death in the United States, heart disease makes up 25% of the fatalities every year.

    Next, Dr. Gladden and Dr. Young go on to cover the comorbidities of heart disease, such as obesity, high cholesterol, arterial sclerosis (hardening of the arteries) and high sugar intake.

    Finally, they go on to discuss how simple steps can be taken to decrease the chances of heart disease: exercise, losing weight, decreasing sugar intake and, depending on genetics, decreasing salt intake.
