    FBU 157: Why People Don't "Get" What I'm Doing? – Mindset Challenges Part 7/8 Aug 27, 2021
    Show notes

Not everyone understands and knows about digital business and online coaching. In fact, if your family and friends come from a regular and traditional job they may not comprehend your choice to follow entrepreneurship. This lack of support, although transient, can be really hard and that's when it is important to really own your decisions and go all in. In this episode, Jill talks about what to do when people don't "get" what you're doing.

"If you are not on board, how are you going to expect anyone else to be?" – Jill Coleman

Jill is a fitness professional and business coach who effectively made the transition from training clients in person and having no time to build anything else to training clients online and actually being more successful. Today, Jill helps other coaches to do the same.

FBU 156: Generating More Sales by Being More Consistent – Mindset Challenges Part 6/8 Aug 25, 2021
    Show notes

When we put effort into a project, it's really common to expect results immediately. For example: if you start a weight loss process, you might want to see a few pounds drop within a couple of days… and that's just not how it works. In business, the idea is the same, being consistent and playing the long game will give people confidence to invest with you. Today, Jill helps you to manage your expectations.

"As a personal brand you are in the trust business. People buy from those that they know, that they like, and that they trust. So the idea that you get to show up on social media for a couple of weeks and have earned the trust for someone to give you hundreds of dollars is short-sighted." – Jill Coleman

FBU 155: The Key to Control Overwhelm and Be More Proactive – Mindset Challenges Part 5/8 Aug 23, 2021
    Show notes

Oftentimes, new things and new challenges generate a good level of anxiety and overwhelm. If you are just beginning in the online coaching space you know what this is about. Launches, content creation, dealing with clients, dealing with finances… it all can be a little overwhelming and draining. In this episode, Jill shares her tips on how you can overcome this feeling by dividing big tasks into small actionable ones.

"Sometimes the overwhelm of all the things you could do really does keep you crippled and not doing anything." – Jill Coleman

FBU 154: Less Perfectionism, More Consistency – Mindset Challenges Part 4/8 Aug 20, 2021
    Show notes

One of the main obstacles that new online coaches face with social media is not being able to be consistent. This can happen due to several reasons: the person has other competitive priorities; the person is being too perfectionist with his/her content; or the person thinks no one truly cares. In this episode, Jill talks about how you can apply the "as if" principle into your work in order to be more consistent, creative, and proactive.

"If you are willing to sacrifice a little bit of your perfectionism, you will start to see yourself becoming a lot more consistent – and consistency is how you literally become better." – Jill Coleman

FBU 153: How to Avoid Falling into the Comparison Trap – Mindset Challenges Part 3/8 Aug 18, 2021
    Show notes

The antidote to comparison is being in love with your own journey. Even though every professional working as an internet business owner wants the same outcome, everyone's path is unique to them. In reality, your goal is more than likely completely different from your peers' goals. Tune into this episode as Jill talks about how to avoid falling into the "comparison trap."

"There are a million things we can blame; however, when we do that we're literally giving away our power. What I think about when I think about mindset is: what do I have control over?" – Jill Coleman

Jill is a fitness professional and business coach who effectively made the transition from training clients in person and having no time to build anything else to training clients online and actually being more successful. Today, Jill helps other coaches to do the same.

FBU 152: Succeeding at a Sustainable Pace – Mindset Challenges Part 2/8 Aug 16, 2021
    Show notes

The Internet biz is all about focusing on your own journey. You can look at what other coaches are doing online, but eventually you will need to be ok with your own sustainable pace. Mindsets revolving around you "not doing enough," "not successful enough," or that you "need to do more" will have negative effects on you. In this episode, Jill explains that, yes, there will be enough time to do more; it just doesn't have to be right now.

"If you are getting triggered, or feeling sensitive when you see things on social media, realize that people are sharing their wins there. They're definitely not sharing their struggles; they're definitely not pulling back the curtain and showing you the ways in which they're really struggling." – Jill Coleman

FBU 150: Creating a Strong Promise In Order to Sell Aug 11, 2021
    Show notes

When a person is willing to invest in you, they don't care about the deliverables of your program (how many tutorials, zoom calls, exercise sheets, etc). They are more interested in what they will get, the result, what you can promise them and whether you can guarantee that your program will work for them. That's why it's so important to create a strong promise in the first place. In this episode, Jill talks about the importance of getting more tangible with your promise, in order to make more sales.

"In order for someone to want to invest in you, they need to know what they can expect." – Jill Coleman

FBU 149: How to Nail Your "Elevator Pitch" Aug 09, 2021
    Show notes

Your "Elevator Pitch" is the one sentence (maybe two) that explains your online business in an easy way. This short sentence should be simple enough to the point that you don't need to add anything to it or give further details. You might need to use it at a social event or, as Jill illustrates here, when someone in the elevator asks you what you do. In this episode, Jill gives you tips to come up with your ready-to-go pitch.

"When it comes to explaining what you do, whether explaining it on social media or explaining it in person, it is extremely important that it's clear enough for someone who's not in the industry to be able to understand it." – Jill Coleman

FBU 148: Setting up the Legal Stuff for Your Business Aug 06, 2021
    Show notes

When we first decide to pursue entrepreneurship, then decide it's time to start an online business, the first thing that comes to mind is the legal aspect of the whole thing. It's easy to get overwhelmed with so many things you need to do (or think you need) in order to get your new company off the ground. In this episode, Jill explains and clarifies with details how to set up the legalities of your business in an easy way.

"I want to give you permission to just start taking money. You can't do this wrong." – Jill Coleman

Jill is a fitness professional and business coach who effectively made the transition from training clients in person and having no time to build anything else to training clients online and actually being more successful. Today, Jill helps other coaches to do the same.
