The show starts off with Sal talking about his massive amount of Masters and MLB bets he made and this Tiger Woods love-fest that has taken the country by storm since it's Day 1 of The Masters. To stay in the spirit of the golf tournament the entire Extra Points gang with Mikey Meatballs and Scott Holmes included, all eat a Pimento Cheese sandwich and give it a grade. The gang then transitions to Major League Baseball since it is opening day and give out some win totals over/unders they like, plus they try to guess how hard they can throw a baseball if they had to right now. The show rounds out with some NBA talk as the Lakers are eliminated from playoff contention and how the Clippers who play in the same building are the much better team and Sal, Shek & Marty give out their play of the day.

The trio starts off the show with a lengthy reaction to the slap heard around the world - Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscar's. After dissecting the absurdity of that moment, they did move onto sports by reviewing the Elite Eight and then giving their picks for the Final Four now that it's set with all blue bloods - Kansas, Villanova, Duke and UNC. Next, the guys transition to pro basketball by talking about the Western Conference playoff picture and the Los Angeles Lakers continuing to have a disastrous season by blowing a 23 point lead to the New Orleans Pelicans. The show rounds out with Sal, Dave and Marty giving their picks of the day and Eddie Spaghetti getting the last laugh with his New York Rangers beating Shek's Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday.

Thursday Sweet 16 Picks, Chiefs Tyreek Hill Trade and Dave finally pays up- sort of! Mar 24, 2022

It’s a big day as the NCAA tournament Sweet Sixteen begins but Cousin Sal can’t enjoy his son’s little league game because he’s on the Yankees. The guys discuss last night’s NBA action as there is a fight on the Miami Heat bench as Jimmy Butler needs to be calmed down.

The guys react to the huge trade, as the Dolphins trade for Tyreek Hill from the Chiefs. Martin likes the Dolphins continuing to make huge moves, possibly to distract from a legal investigation. Will the Dolphins take a playoff spot from one of the AFC West teams?

Dave finally pays Martin back $47 (instead of $50) for the Jonathan Taylor MVP bet. Plus, they discuss how much Deshaun Watson will really elevate the Cleveland Browns. Sal and Martin call out Dave for refusing to criticize the Steelers and Dave still defends the Mitch Trubisky move and loves his pedigree.

Next, the guys make their picks for all of Thursday’s NCAA tournament games starting with Gonzaga/Arkansas. Sal thinks Arkansas will keep this game close and somehow the guys talk about a ridiculous comparison of Chet Holmgren and Kevin Durant. Plus Villanova/Michigan, Texas Tech/Duke and Arizona/Houston.

Then new co-host of Lemon Pepper Parlay Mark Gunnels joins the show to talk about the Brooklyn Nets chances in the Eastern Conference and optimism for Kansas City Chiefs fans.

Martin is back from Dubai as the Extra Points gang is gearing up for the NCAA Tournament, until Dave begins with his argument that it is not a good indicator of finding a true champion. Before discussing the tournament the guys talk the latest on Deshaun Watson and where he may be headed next? Dave thinks all this player empowerment started with Lebron and Miami’s Big 3 and then NFL players realized they have the power to do what they want. Plus, now that Cleveland is out on Watson, where does that leave them with Baker Mayfield?

Next, Cousin Sal welcomes in students for the 2nd Extra Points Cinderella Contest from Richmond, South Dakota State, Longwood and the University of Akron- for every game their school wins in the tournament they’ll win money.

Dave begins to discuss the NFL’s tampering period and he doesn’t like the name and wants to change it. Meanwhile, Tom Brady overshadowed Selection Sunday announcing his return as the Bucs odds jumped from 20-1 to 10-1. The guys discuss what may have changed his mind and how many more Tom Brady retirements do we get? Sal and Dave discuss if this was the plan all along and if the Bucs organization may have had an idea this was going to happen as Sal calls them Tamper Bay.

After losing the Extra Points NFL Playoff contest, Martin finally will face his Cap of Consequences punishment “Head Games”. Unfortunately for him he will have to wear masks everyone found around Los Angeles on his head for the entire show and he is not pleased.

The guys react to Coach K throwing his team under the bus after Duke loses to North Carolina in his final regular season game at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Conference tournaments are underway and Selection Sunday is approaching as everyone talks about when exactly March Madness officially begins for there, plus Martin describes the moment he realized he wanted to work in sports. Then the guys give their thoughts on the first episode of HBO’s new series about the 80’s Lakers, Winning Time.

Next, it’s a wrap up of all the big NBA games this weekend as the Lakers finally end their losing streak as Lebron drops 56 points against the Warriors, but Sal still doesn’t believe they will make the playoffs. Plus, the Celtics beat the Nets and Dave wonders if the Nets can find chemistry in time for the playoffs.

Georgia lineman Jordan Davis runs a 4.78, 40-yard dash at the combine makes Sal wonder if a 400 or 500 pound person could beat you in a race; which makes Dave wonder how much Geoff Schwartz weighs? The guys also discuss if there is a 6-year-old out there that could beat any of them in a fight and Eddie thinks he could beat Vladimir Putin in a fight.

With no end to the MLB lockout in sight, Sal believes the owners owe tax-paying fans something in return and has an idea. Plus, the Extra Points crew makes their picks of the day.
