    Producer Eddie Spaghetti is back from Hawaii with an engagement update and feeling good about the Rangers thumping the Lightning in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Sal brings up a sexy picture of Eddie and his girlfriend in paradise to get Dave and Martin’s thoughts. Sal asks the guys who is the most obnoxious fan base left in the NBA and NHL playoffs and Dave breaks down the difference between Celtics and Rangers fans.

    Sports Illustrated Fantasy Sports expert Jen Piacenti joins the show to help break down the fantasy football feud between Tommy Pham and Joc Pederson as well as Mike Trout’s role as commissioner. Jen brings up that she wants to know who finished last in the league and needed to pay $10,000.

    Next, it’s a preview of the NBA Finals as Martin breaks down how he thinks the entire series will go and his prediction that Draymond Green will get multiple technical fouls over the course of the series.     The Extra Points gang is back from Memorial Day weekend and Cousin Sal wants to start with Top Gun: Maverick living up to the hype, although Mikey Meatballs disagrees. Sal thinks Tom Cruise looks too young for the age he is playing in the movie.

    Then the guys jump into Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals as the Celtics beat the Miami Heat to advance to the NBA Finals. Martin and the crew defend Jimmy Butler taking the three-pointer at the end of the game but don’t defend takes he should have been MVP. Sal wonders if the right team is actually favored in the NBA Finals, but how many good competitive games will we see? Dave feels that Kevin Durant is pulling for the Celtics because his legacy is at stake.

    The Extra Points crew is back in the studio as the Degenerate Trifecta win Race to Ten and the Celtics take a 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Miami Heat. Martin, Sal, and Dave discuss if it was bad shooting for the Heat or injuries that lead to a bad performance. Tonight’s Dallas Mavericks and Golden State Warriors; the guys give their best bets as Martin wants to bet this game both ways.

    The guys discuss the All-NBA teams and Joel Embiid not making it over Nikola Jokic; while Martin takes issue with Jalen Rose voting for Kyrie Irving to the team. Then it’s NHL Playoffs talk as the St. Louis Blues stay alive, Jacob Trouba’s controversial hit, and the Rangers/Hurricanes series.

    Next, the guys pitch alternatives for the Pro-Bowl as Dave wants to see a game for the #1 overall Draft pick, while Martin wants to see a Dunk Contest, and Sal pitches bringing back Battle of the Network Stars style competition.     The Extra Points gang is ready to recap an exciting sports weekend, plus Top Gun: Maverick star and St. Louis sports fan Jon Hamm will be joining the show. But first the guys start with the NBA playoffs and is it time to move the three-point line back as teams continue to take a record amount of three-pointers. They discuss the Warriors/Mavericks series and tonight’s Heat/Celtics Game 4 as Dave makes the case for the Heat being the best team left.

    Actor and Fantasy League Champion Jon Hamm joins the show and immediately makes fun of Dave for the Cardinals beating the Pirates 18-4 on Sunday. Jon gives his thoughts on if the St. Louis Blues can pull off beating the Colorado Avalanche in this series and Sal asks if she were still alive if he would have made love to Gloria singer, Laura Branigan.

    Next, Jon Hamm talks about filming the new Top Gun: Maverick movie, working with Tom Cruise and how surreal it was being on the military base set. Martin asks him if there is real beef between him and Apple and Sal asks if he has given any thought to who he will be kicking out of the fantasy league; to which he has an answer.

    Then, the guys quickly discuss the NHL playoffs, Justin Thomas winning the PGA Championship and a trip on the Make-Believe Riverboat Casino to discuss which athlete has the greatest most commonly used first name.

    Dave faces off against Eddie in Holy Goalie, Steelers First Snap Odds, Nick Saban & Jimbo Fisher, War of Words, Eastern Conference Finals Game 2 Bets May 19, 2022

    Today is the day, Dave will face the Cap of Consequences “Holy Goalie” punishment; Dave says he is not nervous and Eddie says he’s not here to injure Dave. Sal informs them there will be a twist, instead of pucks Eddie will be shooting Dave’s favorite fruit, the delicious Envy apple.

    The PGA Championship first round is underway and early on Jon Daly was atop the leaderboard while he reportedly was chain-smoking, drinking Diet Cokes and eating peanut M&M’s throughout the round. Speaking of drinking, the guys discuss fans thinking Luka Doncic was drinking a beer the afternoon of Game 1. The Mavericks/ Warriors Game 1 was a blow out as the Mavericks looked fatigued after a tough seven game series against Phoenix.

    Then the Extra Points gang previews Game 2 between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat as Martin feels Payton Pritchard will continue to be a problem defensively for the Celtics. Plus, why isn’t Jimmy Butler more celebrated- Dave feels because Jimmy Butler doesn’t have a strong name.

    Eddie is frustrated after the Rangers lose Game 1 of their series against the Carolina Hurricanes. Martin asks the guys if it is harder to find a good goalie or a good quarterback; which gets the guys to discuss how few dominant goalies are currently in the NHL.

    FanDuel has odds on which quarterback will take the Steelers first snap of the season at quarterback; could it be Mason Rudolph.

    Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban says Texas A&M paid for all their players and Jimbo Fisher responds calling him out as the guys discuss how massive NIL deals have changed college football. Finally, the guys head outside as Dave faces Eddie firing apples at him.

    NBA Conference Final Preview, Rangers & Eddie win, Best Two Words in all of Sports? May 16, 2022
    Show notes

    It’s the morning after the Rangers big Game 7 win against the Penguins and Dave is sick physically and mentally. Eddie feels euphoric after the win but is still complaining about whinny Penguins fans and beat writers. Dave will now have to face his Cap of Consequences punishment “Holy Goalie”, Eddie will get to fire slapshots at him while Dave is dressed as a religious figure. Eddie gives his thoughts on the Rangers next series against the Carolina Hurricanes.

    Next, the guys recap the NBA Conference Semifinals as Martin felt Giannis looked out of gas and had no support in Game 7 against the Celtics. Plus, it was a disappointing game between the Suns and Mavericks as Chris Paul and Devin Booker were basically no-shows as Luka Doncic and the Mavericks advance. Then the Extra Points crew previews the Conference Finals as Martin believes the Warriors don’t have anyone that can guard Luka and wants to see more consistency out of Klay Thompson as he and Sal both like the Mavericks. Then, Sal likes the Celtics but can’t bring himself to root for the Boston fanbase.

    After a weekend filled with Game Sevens, the guys jump on the Make-Believe Riverboat Casino to discuss what are the greatest two words in all of sports. Martin makes the case for rivalry week and Dave is confused if postseason is one word or two. Finally, the guys recap Eddie Spaghetti’s 30th Birthday party and finding out he cried three times during Pearl Jam.
