Show notes

Max Lugavere is a health and science journalist, and honestly one of my favorite follows on on Instagram. I understand completely that conversations about food can be triggering, so please understand this conversation is rooted in good intentions around health. Alzheimer’s has, unfortunately, effected both of our families, and thats really whats driving this conversation and much of Max’s work - the hope to educate and prevent this horrible disease and many others that plague Americans these days. Max’s podcast Genius life, and book Genius Kitchen, have a plethora of helpful information and affordable recipes. Enjoy!

Surviving loss, Sicilian Love, and New Life - with Actress and Author Tembi Locke Mar 04, 2022

Show notes

I want to apologize for how intensely emotional this episode is. The hour leading up to talking to Tembi, I was overcome in a way I had not expected. I think the combination of experiencing the loss of my father, coupled with my intense fear of something happening to my husband…which by the way I know is extremely selfish talking to someone who went through it…and all that emotion coupled with Tembi’s pure light, joy and incredible success - I don’t know it was all overwhelming to me. For those who don’t know, Tembi wrote about losing her husband. We recently connected at Reece’s book club, because Hello Sunshine, Reece’s production company is currently producing a Netflix show based on the book. Imagine casting your own life and being able to share your love, sorrow, and beautiful new life with the world? It’s just magical. This is a very special episode and I can’t wait to hear what you think. Ads:

Devin Brugman is Awesome Feb 09, 2022

Show notes

Devin Brugman is an influencer, model and co-founder of Monday Swimwear. I’ve been in this world of fashion/instagram PR you know, for a long time and there are times when you meet someone that is just a damn fresh breath of air - that’s Devin. Raised in one of my favorite towns in the world Paia, Maui, Devin made her way to LA where she and her best friend Tasha started shooting, producing and modeling for various swim brands before starting their blog, A Bikini A Day, and later founding Monday Swimwear. I love the way these two women were able to turn what they love doing most into a wildly successful business. Also, Monday is the only swimwear that makes me and my mom feel good. Enjoy!
