Ty Haney is Still Doing (big) Things May 18, 2022

Show notes

Ty Haney started Outdoor Voices right out of college. Unless you live under a rock, you at least saw a “Doing Things” bag slung over a shoulder - OV was everywhere. And then out of nowhere, articles started appearing highlighting various issues at the company - issues I personally always felt weren’t really anyone’s business but the company’s. Ty has since left OV. In this episode we discuss what lead up to her decision to leave the company, and the incredible Web3 software and new product she has launched since.

Garcelle Beauvai!! May 04, 2022

Show notes

What a dream to interview this woman. Garcelle Beauvai has an incredibly accomplished career as an actress and model, on top of a wildly aspirational story. I’ve been watching her since I can remember - from Coming to America to The Real Housewives. Now she has a new memoir with Harper Collins entitled Love Me As I Am, in which she recounts her immigration from Haiti to Boston, her beginnings as a model in New York, transition to acting in Hollywood, relationships, path to motherhood and being on RHOBH.

These are so hard for me. I second guess everything I say and have been over thinkings this for days. The sole purpose of this episode is to maybe make a few people feel less alone, but I am aware this could just sound like privileged bitching.

How Beatrice Dixon is Taking Care of Your Honey Pot Apr 20, 2022

Show notes

I’m not a big “founder episode” because not everyone’s journeys are the same, and I never want anyone to feel like they can’t relate. But sometimes there are magical people, with brands I love, and very special stories that I just can’t wait to share. Beatice Dixon started Honey Pot, the worlds first plant-based feminine hygiene company, after her grandmother came to her in a dream. She was given a recipe to combat her BV, and after years of testing, had achieved the perfect formula. She started the company with her brother, and now, 40 employees and countless retailers later, Honey Pot is a household name. This woman posses a very special power and energy, and the products? Life changing.

I found Dr. Casey after googling blood sugar + health on a sleepless night. After much PCOS research, it’s become clear that blood sugar and insulin are vital for understanding the PCOS journey, but my god, did you know its at the root of most major diseases in the country??? Dr. Casey is my favorite kind of doctor, one who practiced medicine until she decided our system is too flawed for her not to make a change. This Standard trained angel is the Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Levels - a wearable blood sugar monitor that connects to the app on your phone, allowing you to track your blood sugar spikes in real time, giving you to have the information you need to make informed decisions for your body. This episode is incredible. Also, sorry about all the medical pod’s in a row, but I get such good feedback on them and my GOD I really feel like I just want to help anyone I can feel as good as possible.
