But I’m not gonna say ‘aging,’ I’m gonna say ‘maturity.’ Just getting more mature can cause puffiness underneath.” (04:22) (Dr. Brian) “If you use tea bags that have caffeine in there, the caffeine actually causes some constriction of the blood vessels. Now, I love coconut. I love coconut water. I love everything with coconuts pretty much. But, there’s no research to back up the claim that this is gonna help with your hair growth.” (04:06) (Dr. Brian) “Now, I will say this. Coconut water and coconut are really good for you. And, when I used to work out really intensely when I was rowing, I used to always carry a bottle of coconut water because I found that that was incredible for hydration. It’s much better than water, in my experience.” (05:26) (Dr. Brian) “Putting that mixture of the coconut onto the seeds of plants actually has been shown to help with plant growth. So, there is research to back that up for helping your plants.” (06:18) (Dr. Brian) “There is a little bit of research that coconut meat may help support weight loss. But, of course, the ultimate for weight loss is making sure you’re taking in less calories than you’re burning. Science can make this happen and it will if we let it.” (05:33) (Dylan) “Individually, I think there’s very little we can do. I think collectively, as a species, is the kind of level we need to be thinking to solve this problem. I think that happens through political change. Yes, we can turn the lights off, but that’s not gonna change the world. We need to think bigger than that.” (06:53) (Dylan) Resources Mentioned NCHS Links Mentioned Link to Byron Bay Observatory Link to Dylan O’Donnell’s Twitter NCHS Footer Powered by FullCast

It would cause the tides to be completely disrupted. There would be no more gravitational pull on the inside of the Earth which would then affect the movements of the plates of the Earth.” (04:41) (Dylan) “Can we confirm at this point, Dylan, that the moon is, in fact, not made of cheese? The moon is made primarily of basalt. And we know this because we went and got on the moon and picked up some of these rocks and could actually look at them.” (05:05) (Dr. Brian & Dylan) “We’re relatively recent visitors on Earth compared to other life forms, which have been here for hundreds and hundreds of millions of years. We never really think about it but we take it for granted. If it wasn’t for the dinosaurs being extinct, we probably wouldn’t be here.” (09:43) (Dr. Brian) Resources Mentioned NCHS Links Mentioned Link to Byron Bay Observatory Link to Dylan O’Donnell’s Twitter NCHS Footer Powered by FullCast

And the theory for a long time has been that Jupiter is like our big brother. It’s like a big gravitational vacuum cleaner that is stopping the Earth from being hammered to death by asteroids.” (17:42) (Dylan) “There was a shooting star that we did predict. We did see one come towards Africa and burn up. It was a bit of a success story in that they saw it, they detected it, they calculated its orbital parameters. And it gave us a lead time of, drumroll please, two hours before we knew it was gonna hit.” (21:52) (Dylan) “We’re connected as a species, as a universe, to all these things. So, the core of the Earth, the meteorites flying through space, the iron that’s raining down on your rooftop every night, the iron flowing through your veins. It’s kinda the smell nerve if you will. And what can happen is the virus can damage the ends of those nerves and the cells in the nose.” (03:48) (Dr. Brian) “It was awesome, one of my favorite pizzas. So, I’m eating it and I’m saying to my kids and my wife, ‘This pizza doesn’t really have much taste. I remember this pizza being really good.’ And I’m eating some more and it kinda tasted like cardboard. This was really weird.” (04:51) (Dr. Brian) “There’s certain substances that if people smell it for about twenty seconds for two to three times a day, over time it can stimulate those olfactory, or smell nerves, in the nose.” (06:40) (Dr. Brian) “Also, taking things that are decongestants if somebody isn’t feeling well is important to help clear up any sort of inflammation that could be active at the time. Tweetable Quotes: “And so the story about [Steven Holcomb’s] eyes, his vision, and his bounce back from basically legal blindness was already becoming a big news story. So, we did a press conference and I brought up my little portable eye testing equipment, I checked his eyes and I gave him the thumbs up and cleared him to compete in the Olympics. And then he won the Gold Medal with his three other teammates, Curt Tomasevicz, Steve Mesler and Justin Olsen.” (08:29) (Dr. Brian) “When Steven won that Gold Medal, he would say that I saved him, but in a way he also saved me because he solidified the validity of the procedure. Essentially there was an Olympic Gold Medal behind the C3R Procedure at the time.” (10:00) (Dr. Brian) “At the time, there were these Chechen terrorists that were bombing train stations in Russia. And The U.S. State Department had put out this notice saying all Americans should cancel going to the Sochi Olympics. So, because Steven was going and I knew his family wasn’t going, I had this very strong gut feeling that I needed to go to support Steven. I called a buddy of mine who had high-level connections and asked what do you think? He said, ‘Brian, Putin is going to make sure that the Olympic Games are safer than driving down the freeway.’” (11:10) (Dr. Brian) “That was one of the reasons that I wanted to help these filmmakers with this documentary because it’s paying tribute to Steven’s legacy. He remained so incredibly humble even after everything he had accomplished. His teammates talk about that in the film too. Always down to Earth, always just being so helpful. He was just such an incredible, inspirational person.” (15:16) (Dr. Brian) Links Mentioned: Link to the film Holky: The Steven Holcomb Story on Indieflix (a film in which Dr. Brian was one of the producers) - https://watch.indieflix.com/movie/z1jvXp2ah0MZ-holky-the-steven-holcomb-story DM Dr. Brian your questions and we will respond back with answers - https://v.cameo.com/F5MH0Hglnmb Dr. Brian’s Website Dr. Brian’s TikTok Dr. Brian’s Instagram Dr. Amy’s Podcast Please remember, Dr. Brian is a doctor, but he is not your doctor.
