In this podcast, we’re going to talk about aluminum toxicity, and what you can do about it.

We are constantly exposed to aluminum, which is very toxic to our bodies.

    We’re Exposed to Aluminum Through:

    • Water

    • Drip Coffee

    • Baking Powder

    • Cookware

    • Medication

    • Deodorant

    • Vaccinations

    Side Effects of Aluminum Exposure:

    • Autism

    • Alzheimer’s

    • Kidney Dysfunction

    • Bone Problems

There is a blockage of vitamin D when you have too much aluminum in the body. Silica water has the ability to rid aluminum from the tissues, and it can also prevent buildup. Get a good water filter and eliminate your exposure to aluminum.

Fix Vitiligo With Copper Dec 05, 2019

In this podcast, we’re going to talk about the interesting relationship between vitiligo and copper.

    What is vitiligo?

Vitiligo is an autoimmune condition where the body is attacking certain cells that make melanin. Without melanin, you don’t have skin pigmentation, which creates white skin spots.

Ultimately vitiligo is a loss of melanocyte function. A melanocyte makes melanin, which gives pigment in the skin. It works through the conversion of L-tyrosine (amino acid) into tyrosinase (enzyme). You need this enzyme to make melanin, but to make the enzyme work, you need copper.

However, if you have too much of this enzyme, you can get hyperpigmentation in the skin, which causes dark spots or aging spots.

When you have too much hydrogen peroxide in the body, it can decrease tyrosinase. If you have enough tyrosinase, you can counter the hydrogen peroxide. But, the main antioxidant that rids hydrogen peroxide uses copper and zinc.

    Vitiligo remedies:

    1. Use copper cream directly on the skin

    2. Take zinc

    3. Take vitamin D3

In this podcast, Berg talks about the best alternative for prednisone. Taking too much prednisone can cause side effects to the point where you couldn’t take it anymore because it doesn’t work. Over 23 million prescriptions are given out every single year in the US. Prednisone is a synthetic version of our own adrenal hormone called cortisol, a very powerful anti-inflammatory. Prednisone is mainly given to people with these certain types of conditions.

In this podcast, we're going to talk about honey. Is honey a good sugar substitute?

    Honey versus sugar:

    • Regular table sugar is composed of 50% glucose and 50% fructose.

    • Honey is 60% fructose and 40% glucose.

Fructose on the glycemic index is 19 which is low, but the glucose in honey goes directly into the liver. Fructose needs to metabolize in the liver and it can cause insulin resistance, liver damage, and fatty liver. Honey is not a good sugar substitute.

    Some Benefits of Honey:

    • Antioxidants

    • Vitamins

    • Phytonutrients

    • It can help with allergies

    • It can decrease complications from diabetes

Why is Agave Nectar Bad if it's Low Glycemic? Dec 02, 2019

In this podcast, we're going to talk about why agave nectar is bad, even if it's low on the glycemic index.

Agave nectar is only 19 on the glycemic index, so it's considered by some people to be keto-friendly. The problem with agave is that it is 70% fructose. So, is agave keto-friendly? No.

    • Fructose is 7x more damaging to certain parts of the body than glucose

    • Fructose can create 100x the oxidative stress to glucose

    • The cells of the body don't absorb fructose, only the liver

    • High fructose corn syrup is about 55 to 58% fructose

    • High fructose corn syrup can also cause insulin resistance and fatty liver

Fruit has fructose, but it also has fiber, which buffers the response. Fruit also has nutrients, which protect against the damage. However, the fructose will still stop you from staying in ketosis.
