In this podcast, Dr. Berg talks about the big problem with gluten-free. Gluten is the protein part of wheat or grains that causes celiac (an inflammatory condition of the gut). Most people are sensitive to gluten that causes inflammatory problems not only with the gut but also in the thyroid and many different parts of the body.

It is very essential not to consume gluten. When you remove the gluten you’re increasing the concentration of carbs in that grain and that will spike the blood sugars more and causes more insulin which is also going to cause more inflammation.

Will Apple Cider Vinegar Burn Your Skin or Heal It? Jan 04, 2020

    ACNE: http://bit.ly/2VQtoi0

In this podcast, Dr. Berg clears up the confusion about apple cider vinegar and the skin. The pH of the skin is 5.5 (acidic) – 7 is neutral, below 7 is acidic and higher than 7 is alkaline. The sweat and the oil(sebum) in the skin are between 4 – 5.5 acidic.

The pH of apple cider vinegar is between 2 to 3 and is 100x more acid than skin so yes it could irritate and burn the skin. Always dilute it and don’t put it directly on your skin.

Dilute 1 tbsp. in an 8oz of water.

Health Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar for the Skin:

    1. Reduce Bacteria

    2. Clean Pores

    3. Make the skin softer and more elastic

*it will not get rid of acne because it is a vitamin A or a situation where there are too many androgens coming from too much insulin.

In this podcast, Dr. Berg talks about the 5 big Keto(ketogenic diet) myths that are completely wrong.

    1. All that fat will give you a heart attack

Fat is only bad if you add the carbohydrates or carbs(refined sugar) with protein – a situation that could lead into a condition called Glycation.

    2. Low carbs starve the brain

It is true that the brain runs on glucose but it can also run on ketones.

    3. High protein diets cause bad breath

The ketogenic diet is NOT a high protein diet, it is a moderate protein diet. It is not the protein that causes the bad breath and constipation, it is the excessive carbohydrates.

    4. Ketoacidosis is a dangerous side effects

Yes, it is a dangerous side effect – of a diabetic type 1 and a diabetic type 2 that is in insulin. Doing the healthy ketogenic diet could prevent someone from getting the diabetes and it will not cause ketoacidosis.

    5. Eating butter and bacon fat is not sustainable long term

In the ketogenic diet, you are not consuming pure fat (like lard, bacon grease), you are eating a whole food with the fat with it.
