Ep. 189: The Bachelorette: Rough Around the Edges (Season 19, Week 3) Jul 26, 2022

Show notes

Join us on Patreon for the full cast bios starting at the $3 level, as we talk about the men of Gabby and Rachel’s season of the Bachelorette.

We are bringing back the tarot readings for every episode of Gabby and Rachel’s season of The Bachelorette. Megan asked the Final Rose Tarot cards what we can expect from this season. Megan pulled the Ace of Rings card, aka the First Date. This card is all about the beginnings of a relationship. We think we see the start of something real on each one on one date this week.

This week each Bachelorette has a one-one one date and we also see the largest group date in Bachelor Nation history! Rachel and Zach have a one-on-one date hosted by the Queer Eye’s Karamo, who styles them for a big movie premiere. They go see “Me and You” and it’s all home movies and it’s incredibly adorable and wholesome, a refreshing change for this franchise. We also see Gabby have a one-on-two date with Erich and America’s Grandpa, Grandpa John! They have a sound bath and go bowling; Gabby really opens up about her relationship with her mother. The group date is a photo shoot with our fave Bachelor Nation Photographer, Franco Lacosta, but don’t worry, it’s not a wedding photo shoot. This week’s rose ceremony is truly one for the books, the women are ready to go their own way on their journeys to love, and we see men decline the roses.

We highlight BIPOC contestants because this show has a horrible history with diversity and inclusion. We believe it is important to highlight those who we see on our screen, because representation matters. This week we are highlighting our guest host, Karamo Brown! Karamo Karega Brown is an American television host, reality television personality, author, actor, and activist. He began his career in 2004 on the MTV reality show The Real World: Philadelphia, becoming the first openly gay black man cast on a reality show. He currently stars as the culture expert in the Netflix series Queer Eye (which has a new season coming out). He is the host of the Karamo show, coming out September 19 and is the author of a children’s book “I am Okay to Feel”.

Ep. 188 True Crime: The Murder of Fabio Sementilli Jul 21, 2022

Show notes

Last week was the premiere of our babes Gabby and Rachel’s season of the Bachelorette! As always that means gimmicky limo entrances and funny jokes on arrival. One contestant, Jacob, came riding in on a white horse, shirtless with his hair blowing in the wind a la Fabio, the model who graced the cover of hundreds of romance novels.

This week Megan tells the story of the murder of Fabio Sementilli, an award winning hair stylist and beauty industry executive. Fabio was dedicated to his career, but his family always came first, and his world revolved around them. He was full of personality and charm. Unfortunately, Fabio was stabbed to death the afternoon of January 23, 2017 in his Woodland Hills, California home.

NOTE: This case is ongoing and all parties are innocent until proven guilty. We will provide updates as they are released.

We are bringing back the tarot readings for every episode of Gabby and Rachel’s season of The Bachelorette. Megan asked the Final Rose Tarot cards what we can expect from this season. Megan pulled the Nine of Flutes, AKA Fantasy Suites. We can’t even get to the keywords and descriptions of this card because WOW.

This week we see lots of dates! We see a forced nudity speedo pageant that we honestly could have skipped. We also see a one on one that takes a turn for the worst between Rachel and Jordan V. We also see Gabby and Nate have the date of our dreams. We finish with a rose ceremony. Just a nice complete episode!

This week we are highlighting Nate (aka Killmonger). Nate shared his love for being a girl dad! His date with Gabby was a joy to watch. Danielle liked him from the cast bios and we share a little information about him at the end of the episode. Make sure to follow him HERE on Instagram!

Ep. 186 True Crime: The Staudte Family Murders - The Murders of Mark and Shaun Staudte and Attempted Murder of Sarah Staudte Jul 14, 2022

Show notes

It’s premiere week of a double Bachelorette season! We are so excited to be back!

Megan was able to find multiple connections with the story she tells this week. We met Gabby and Rachel on Clayonaise’s season of the Bachelor and he grew up in Missouri. Also, this story involves two women working together towards a common, but evil, goal.

The Staudte family was a family of 6 in Springfield, Missouri when the father and husband, Mark Staudte died very suddenly in 2012, his death is ruled natural causes. Tragedy hit the family again in 2012 when the oldest son and brother, Shaun, also dies. Suspicions grow when Sarah, the oldest daughter is admitted to the hospital in 2013 and police receive an anonymous tip that Sarah's illness was no accident …

Ep. 185: The Bachelorette: Bach Like We Never Left (Season 19, Night 1) Jul 12, 2022

Show notes

It’s FINALLY the end of the off season, the Bachelorette is BACK BABY.

Megan pulled the King of Rings, AKA the Jeweler. This card is all about opulence and luxury, certainly two things our babes deserve.

In true Bachelor fashion, premiere night is all about the limo entrances. We get some cute and cringe entrances. We also get to see our first cocktail party of the season, which helps us get to know these men a bit better. Lastly, we both share our Crime of the episode (aka the parts we hate), and our Rose of the episode (aka the highlight). Danielle has a fun little “He’s a 10” game too.

This week we are highlighting Mario! Mario received the first impression rose from Gabby, after dancing his way out of the limo and locking lips. We give you a little background on Mario from our cast bios episode Make sure to follow him here!

True Crime: The Death of Cooper Harris July 2022 True Crime Patreon Exclusive Jul 07, 2022

Show notes

This is a sneak peek of our July 2022 True Crime Patreon Exclusive content.

You can hear the full episode here. Starting at the $3 level of our Patreon membership!

Megan covers a case suggestion from listener and Patreon Mia! Thanks, Mia!

This story is incredibly difficult to tell. Cooper Harris was a beautiful blonde-haired toddler, taken from this life too early. Cooper was only 22 months old when he died of hyperthermia, after being left alone in his father’s hot car in June 2014 in the Home Depot headquarters parking lot, in Vinings, Georgia. Both Megan and Danielle remember the day this story broke, and when we tell you that the coverage was everywhere, we mean it.

This story has recently been back in the news, and may take this story on a whole different path soon enough. Of course, we will keep y’all updated as updates come in.

This is a story about Texas cheerleading in the 90s, think big hair and shoulder pads. Wanda Webb Holloway was fashionable ambitious and driven. So driven that she came up with the plot to make sure her daughter made the Channelview High School cheerleading team that year, by ANY … MEANS … NECESSARY!
