    E283 - Digging Like A Dog | Why Everyone And Everything Needs A Purpose Jan 29, 2019
    Show notes

While attending a conference this past week, one of the speakers spoke about his labradors. He said that when labradors don’t have a purpose they default to digging holes. Immediately this reminded me about a very situation line of thought our dog trainer shared with us regarding our pit bulls. What’s crazy to me is how this idea relates to all of us, myself included. When we live life without a purpose, we tend to find ourselves digging ditches we can’t get out of. On the other hand, when we have a mission to strive for we can build mountains. Are you digging holes or are you building? Questions, comments, requests? Feel free to contact me at ryan@lifeoptimizationgroup.com. I’d love to hear from you.

    Show notes

Is your operating system up to date? I’m not talking about your phone, computer, tablet, or any other electronic device. I’m talking about the operating system that is YOU. There’s plenty of different ways to do this, including some of the content from this very podcast. For anyone that’s been listening to the podcast as of late, I’ve been more and more interested in the healing powers of plant based medicine. Take a listen as I take a trip down the rabbit hole through mushrooms, ayahuasca, and more. Questions, comments, requests? Feel free to contact me at ryan@lifeoptimizationgroup.com. I’d love to hear from you.

E281 Your Habits Are Your Habitat | How Your Daily Actions Create The Life You Live Jan 27, 2019

It’s easy to think that the small things we do on a daily basis don’t have an effect on the bigger picture that is our lives. In reality, our daily habits are the foundation on which we build success. If you’re going to bed late, sleeping in, ignoring your fitness, and eating nothing but junk, it’s simply impossible for you to perform at your potential. Listen to see how you can build a foundation of great habits and how my own habits have changed over the years. Questions, comments, requests? E279: You Should Quit Working | Why Hustle And Grind Is A Waste Of Time Jan 25, 2019
    Show notes

Proliferated by social media, the hustle-grind mentality is rampant these days. I’m not against working hard. In fact, hard work is essential to reach any level of success. Overworking ourselves is a bit different. For so long I thought that in order to get to where I wanted to go, I had to literally work my face off. For a brief period of time, I’ll even say that it was true. Pretty soon I realized that I was working myself into the ground and that while I was working hard, it wasn’t efficient or sustainable. Today I’m going to explore the mindset needed to reach your goals. Questions, comments, requests? Feel free to contact me at ryan@lifeoptimizationgroup.com. I’d love to hear from you.

E278 Decisions | Your Inability To Make A Quick Decision Is Limiting Your Exponential Growth Jan 24, 2019
    Show notes

The decision-making process is perhaps the most time sucking process in our daily lives. How so? Sometimes it leads to procrastination and takes us places we never needed to go in the first place. The inability to make a decision ultimately leads to self-doubt and a can lead to a lack of confidence. The wild thing this that it happens for no reason. We all have a tool called intuition that is there to help us make decisions. Today I demonstrate how I got out of whack in my decision making and what you can do to re-align. Questions, comments, requests? Feel free to contact me at ryan@lifeoptimizationgroup.com. I’d love to hear from you.

What decisions have you made today? From getting out of bed to shutting off the alarm clock to showering and so on, we’re constantly making decisions whether we consciously realize it or not. So what happens when you run out of the ability to make decisions? That happened to me today prior to recording this podcast. It made me realize that even though I’ve been making progress, i still need to further systematize and simplify my life. How can you start to move in that direction? The most important thing is to just start, remain consistent, and build from there. Questions, comments, requests? Feel free to contact me at ryan@lifeoptimizationgroup.com. I’d love to hear from you.

E276: Are You A Business Man Or...? | Before You Judge Others, Take A Look At Yourself Jan 22, 2019
    Show notes

When is talking behind someone’s back actually talking behind your own? 100% of the time. This might be a confusing idea to some, but I can profess the truth from my own personal experience. When we judge and gossip about other people, it’s actually a reflection of our own insecurities. It limits our ability to grow as individuals because we are operating from a state of lack. How can we combat this? When we find ourselves judging other people, we must take a deep look within ourselves. Questions, comments, requests? Feel free to contact me at ryan@lifeoptimizationgroup.com. I’d love to hear from you.

    E275 You Can't Have The Shine Without The $h!T Jan 21, 2019
    Show notes

Even the most positive situations have a healthy dose of $hit attached to them. By default, we focus so intently on all the terrible things that happened that lose sight of any positive. This has been especially true with my relationship with my father. If you’re a long time listener of the show, it’s no secret that my dad and I simply didn’t get along. In fact, until relatively recently I blamed a lot of my issues on him. Even through the pain, it’s hard not to reevaluate our relationship and recognize the gifts my dad has given me. Is there a relationship or situation where you can say the same? Questions, comments, requests? Feel free to contact me at ryan@lifeoptimizationgroup.com. I’d love to hear from you.

E274 Don't Feel Sorry For Me | When Suicide Is Not The Answer Jan 20, 2019
    Show notes

Our situation is of our own creation. It’s easy looking back to see that the infidelity not only affected my personal life, it became a bigger distraction and altered how I showed up in the business world. One evening, everything came to a head in front of my apartment. Upon returning home from work, I see all four women standing there. This wasn’t a friendly gathering of long lost buddies. My untruthful ways had caught up to me. What ensued can only be described as one of the darkest moments in my life. Listen to find out why there’s always a way to find the light, you just have to be willing to listen. Questions, comments, requests? Feel free to contact me at ryan@lifeoptimizationgroup.com. I’d love to hear from you.
