    Yoga Strong

To be “Yoga Strong” is to pay attention to not only your body, but how you navigate being human. While combining strength and grace creates a powerful flow-based yoga practice, it is the practice of paying attention in the same ways off-the-mat that can be equally impactful.

This podcast is a guide for yoga teachers, practitioners and people trying to craft a life they’re proud AF about. This is about owning your voice. This is about curiosity, bravery, sensuality, and building a home in yourself.

In this quickie, I include a reading from a friend that's a call-in to be a partner to yourself (author unknown).

    Show notes

When Meghan Fisher put on a Sasquatch costume, it gave her the tool to talk about the inner beast that keeps us feeling shame and judgment. By not only allowing, but inviting that inner critic, we can transform (alchemize) these relationships in ourselves to give us more vulnerability and love. By embracing these parts of us, they will take us where we want to go. Meghan shares the journey of Sasquatch, what she's discovered, and where she's heading.

    067 - Shame & Sexuality: Let's Talk About Sex with Taylor-leigh Jan 19, 2021
    Show notes

Shame comes from stories we tell ourselves. We can change those stories. Taylor and I talk about our early childhood sex conversations, performance, productivity, libido, masturbation and squirting, and more.
Instagram account referenced: Dr. Uchenna "UC" Ossai @youseelogic
Brené Brown quote: "Shame, blame, disrespect, betrayal, and the withholding of affection damage the roots from which love grown. Love can only survive these injuries if they are acknowledged, healed, and rare."

    066 - Yes, Instead of Later Jan 14, 2021

    Show notes

As a Black man, Scrutch shares his lived experience as a leader in health and wellness. This currently spans from his family, high school students and in studio teaching yoga. When he found yoga, he found that the challenger was himself, rather than an opponent as he finds in Jiu Jitsu. He found camaraderie in yoga. Bringing equity and access to wellness spaces for the BIPOC community is part of his current mission.
