#86: When Configuration Gets Easy, Context Gets Critical, with Laith Kosa Sep 25, 2026
    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

AI is making it easier to inspect, build, and eventually modify enterprise applications. But as the effort required to make a change decreases, another challenge becomes increasingly important: understanding everything that change might affect.

Laith Kosa joins Keith to explore the role of context in enterprise systems. They discuss how Workday configuration connects to security, business processes, integrations, identity platforms, and other applications—and why so much of that understanding still depends on institutional knowledge held by experienced team members.

They also consider what happens as AI increases the speed and volume of system changes, why preserving enterprise context will become increasingly important, and how the skills Workday professionals need may evolve.

#83: Workday Skills, Flex Credits, and What Teams Need to Know- With Jess Wagner Aug 28, 2026
    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

In this episode of Workday Gold, Keith is joined by Jess Wagner to talk about two practical topics Workday teams should be paying attention to: Workday Skills and Flex Credits. Jess shares why she is in the “turn it on” camp for Workday Skills functionality, how employee-entered skills can support development and career pathing, and why organizations should communicate the value to employees instead of waiting to build the perfect structure behind the scenes.

Keith and Jess also dig into Flex Credits, especially the API usage side that many teams may not be watching closely enough. They discuss how renewals, the Platform Consumption Console, API usage reports, nested web service calls, and agent adoption can all affect future costs. This episode is especially helpful for HRIS leaders, Workday admins, AMS teams, and anyone responsible for Workday planning, governance, or budget conversations.

As mentioned in the episode, here are the instructions for a Named Support Contact to create a Workday ticket to get your current integration API usage:

•Request Flex Credit API usage reports from Workday, by integration. Say that you approve them looking at the actual integration name.

    When entering the ticket, choose:

    •Customer Support >> Workday Product

    •Select: Platform and Product extension

•Select: Integrations - API framework (product area)

•Subject: Please provide API Usage Logs from the tenant for a one-month period.
Then start digging through the results. Let me know what you find!

#82: Workday Professionals Need to Think One Level Higher- with Christian Delcid Aug 21, 2026
    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

In this episode of Workday Gold, Keith Bitikofer is joined again by Christian Delcid for a bigger-picture conversation about AI, Workday, and the future of work. Keith walks through how AI is moving from simple assistants and agents toward workflow redesign, where the real value comes from rethinking which steps need humans, which steps can be automated, and what data AI needs to support the process.

Keith and Christian also discuss what this means for Workday admins, analysts, and consultants. As AI front doors, data platforms, and systems of engagement evolve, Workday professionals have an opportunity to become the connectors between business users, IT, Workday data, and broader workflow design. This episode is especially relevant for anyone trying to understand how AI may reshape Workday support, consulting, and business process ownership.

#81: What Happens When AI Can Read Your Workday Tenant? With Christian Delcid Aug 14, 2026
    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

In this episode of Workday Gold, Keith sits down with Christian Delcid to talk about the changing role of Workday admins in an AI-native world. Christian shares what it has been like to move into a more AI-forward organization and how tools like Claude Code, Codex, and read-only Workday tenant access are changing the way he researches, troubleshoots, and supports the business.

Keith and Christian also discuss Workday’s Deployment Agent, tenant inspection, governance, Flex Credits, and the importance of not setting aside human judgment. The conversation points to a bigger shift: the most valuable Workday professionals may be the ones who know both Workday and how to unblock AI so it can help with real business problems.

Testing is essential to every Workday implementation, but it is often fragmented across spreadsheets, screenshots, emails, and project trackers. In this episode, Keith talks with Noah Borts, co-founder and head of operations at Happy Path, about treating testing as a complete process rather than simply automating a series of clicks.

They discuss objective-based testing, verifying configuration across multiple tenants, using manual testing to uncover training gaps, and the need for strong validation loops for AI-generated work.
