Transform Your Life - Rewrite Your Story with Krati Mehra Feb 06, 2023
    Show notes

The stories we tell ourselves have a lot of power. They affect our goals, how we show up, and the quality of life we enjoy. Changing your story is changing your life, and the first step to making a difference is to start questioning the things you believe about yourself, especially if they are holding you back. Your story must align with who you want to become and the goals you set for your life to thrive. Stop playing a victim and start exploring who you are and what you want out of life to write a powerful story. You can be whoever you want and create whatever reality you want.

Exercise regularly, maximize your productive hours, eat healthy meals - take control of yourself so each day counts. Small daily habits add up to create immense value in our lives. It wasn't always radio that was Brian's target. Throughout his youth, his desire was to become an airline pilot. When the airline hiring requirements in the early 1990s clashed with his eyesight shortfalls, Brian decided to major in Management Human Resources with a minor in Business Law. In his final days at Cal Poly Pomona, a friend suggested his voice would be perfect for radio.
He obtained an internship at KIKF-FM in Los Angeles and, shortly before graduating, was offered the full-time evening slot. From there it was on to afternoon drive seeking more creative freedom and what is typically the most lucrative air shift. Brian set his sights on mornings. That brought him to Kalamazoo, Michigan, where he brought the morning show from worst to first. Competition bought him out of the market and to Ann Arbor.
In addition to radio, Brian is a licensed real estate broker and owns a small brokerage in his hometown of Dexter, Michigan. In his free time, travel is Brian's passion. He has visited sixty-three countries.

Testimonials Are Key to Trustworthy Selling Jan 17, 2023
    Show notes

Testimonials are a powerful tool that can really get people to take action. As a seller, you may be familiar with promoting your products and trying to persuade buyers. But when someone else who has already bought the product leaves their own positive review, it can be much more effective in convincing buyers of its quality.
Most infomercials don’t convert because they spend too much time talking about the product and not enough time talking about how it can benefit the user. To be more successful, people should focus on creating stories of people who have used the product and add that section early in the ad.
In this episode, Belinda dives into why it's best to use more customer testimonials than facts to sell your product. She will explain how buyers will find other customers' stories more convincing than the facts that you can provide as a seller. As the old business adage goes - "Facts tell, but stories sell". Don’t miss this helpful advice on how to use testimonials to increase sales.
Snapshot of the Key Points from the Episode:
[02:01] Why are testimonials the most powerful ingredient in your sales strategy?
[04:23] Why most of the ads today do not convert.
[09:20] The importance of using testimonials, whether verbal or written.

Building a Sustainable Business with John Pabon Jan 16, 2023
    Show notes

Sustainability is an important concept for businesses today, yet there is a lot of confusion about what it really means. People often think of sustainability as just protecting the environment, which is true to an extent. But there's more to it than that. It encompasses economic, social, and environmental aspects and involves finding ways to use resources in a way that meets the needs of current generations without compromising the ability of future generations to do the same.
Sustainability is an umbrella term that focuses on creating a better future, both environmentally and socially. It encompasses steps to stop climate change, reduce water and natural resource misuse, as well as ensuring human rights, labor rights, animal rights, philanthropy, and charity are observed. Professionally this type of sustainability is referred to as ESG (environmental-social-governance). It is sometimes known by its other name: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
