Know your Product: Leveraging Insight for Success Dec 21, 2022
    Show notes

How well do you know the product that you are selling? How much is too much, and how little is too little? Though in the first segment of this series we focused on selling from a benefit point of view and not a descriptive point of view, knowing your product’s overall description (but not necessarily every fine detail) is imperative. Even though the customer will rarely want to know the product description, you should have enough information to offer a recommendation and become a master of what you are selling.
The more knowledge you have of a product, the more confident you will be when selling it and the more help you can give. Customers will be much more willing to purchase a product when they feel a sense of trust in the information you give them. Honesty also brings more sales, and honesty comes from having enough information.
In this episode, I share tips on how to know your product well. Knowing exactly which product segments are the most important and how much time you should be spending on each one is key to success. Identifying which details are essential will save you valuable time and help you focus your efforts where they count the most.
You don’t want to miss this! Snapshot of the Key Points from the Episode: [01:58] Know your product - Why is it important? [04:04] Understand who the product works for. [08:22] Know what the customer is going to use the product for. [14:16] Know what else goes well with that product. [18:25] The changing customer buying patterns.

Success Strategies From Career Actor, Singer, and Musician Lily Talevski Dec 15, 2022
    Show notes

Success as an actor, singer, or musician is often attributed to luck, but there are many ways to increase your odds of success. From developing a clear vision for your future career to learning how to work like an artist, these strategies can help you become the best performer you can be. Some of the most important steps toward success are networking with other artists, perseverance, tenacity, and having an agent.
There is also so much rejection and discouragement from this field, and you just have to laugh it off and focus on the fun. Otherwise, you will fall into depression. It is possible to be prepared with the right education and experience from college and then fail to be chosen for auditions. That’s why you must develop tools for accepting rejection and moving forward even through disappointment.
In this episode, Lily Talevski shares her journey in her artistic career and how she has persevered to be featured as Rose Pierce in The Watcher Series on Netflix. One of her golden takeaways is that you can work as much as you want and keep pursuing as much as you want, but in the end, it often comes down to opportunities and luck. There is less you can do about that. Instead, keep yourself open to opportunities because no one formula solves it all in the entertainment industry.
Snapshot of the Key Points from the Episode: [02:07] Lily’s backstory and what she is currently up to. [05:50] One of Lily's most memorable performances. [08:53] Lily’s superpowers that have enabled her to make a living in acting. [11:35] How getting an agent right after college was a plus to Lily's career. [16:32] Ways Lily creates visibility and engagement with her fans. [20:34] How has Lily navigated the artistic & business side of her career? [22:40] Is it still hard for women to enter this career space? [25:33] Things she has done after school for her education. [29:11] Advice for people starting their career in the arts. [34:38] What does working from your happy place mean to Lily?
About Lily Talevski: - Lily Talevski is an actor and musician living in NYC, originally from metro Detroit, and of Macedonian descent. She is a Michigan girl, a "Macedonian firecracker" who loves all mediums of performing- on screen, on stage, or in front of the mic in a crowded pub. Whether the crowd is laughing or shedding a tear- all she knows is that she is a storyteller, and they're all just there to have a good time and share some humanity.

Strategies for Grouping to Sell In Sets and Bundles Dec 06, 2022
    Show notes

Most consumers don’t know what exactly they need. They have an idea of what they need but struggle to make a clear-cut decision quickly.
Helping your customers make clear decisions is the key to getting them to buy your products right now, and selling in sets or bundles is a great strategy.
Most salespeople use discounted prices, which is a great strategy, but you don’t have to discount the sale price to get more people to buy. People are not looking at what they can save; they are looking for what they need, a great customer experience, and ease in decision-making. When they don’t have to think and hunt for products, that saves them more time and helps them not to get confused when making purchasing decisions.
In this episode, I share the steps to create and sell bundles that make your customers' experience better and their shopping decisions more straightforward.
Snapshot of the Key Points from the Episode:
[02:04] Selling products in bundles, grouping, or sets to your customers and why it’s important.
[04:03] Why you don’t need to have discounted prices to increase sales or convince more people to buy.
[07:18] What can you do to sell in groupings and sets and make the experience complete for consumers?
[10:45] How to discount bundle products by making sure the emphasis is on what the customers save, not the price.
[11:50] How to create different and similar bundles that are built on each other to improve your consumers' experience.
[15:09] How can selling in bundles make a difference in your sales and serve a lot of people quickly?

While Sara doesn’t necessarily lead with her “failures,” her passion is to show that she’s a recovering perfectionist who’s “walking the walk” in embracing her humanity, messiness, and vulnerability as she’s encouraging others to do the same.

Power Tips to Supercharge your Sales During the Holiday Season Nov 29, 2022
    Show notes

One of the greatest challenges we deal with as salespeople is the fear of being pushy. However, there are some simple tricks and mindset shifts that you can use to overcome this feeling. These tips are not limited to salespeople but relevant for everyone. That’s because we are all, consciously or unconsciously, in the business of selling something in one way or another, whether it is selling yourself, a product, or an idea.
The biggest tip is to always sell from a benefits point of view instead of a descriptive point of view. Descriptive selling means you describe the product in detail, while benefit selling involves clearly articulating the benefits a client will get from using the product. Effective selling always focuses on the buyer’s eye instead of the seller’s eye.
In this episode, I share two power tips for how you can make the best sales during this season by getting more connected to your consumers at a personal level.
Snapshot of the Key Points from the Episode:
[03:16] Everyone is constantly selling something. Sell from a benefit point of view instead of a descriptive point of view.
[05:32] Practical examples of this mindset.
[10:56] They do not need the hearing aid!
[15:31] Give your customers the benefits and not the details.
[16:10] Explain who the product is best suited for.
