The band blends an eclectic, fun mix of jazz, blues ragtime, swing and original music with washboards, washtubs, kazoos, jugs and various other sundry hardware. They plan on releasing a new EP around the time of the next Jubilee in September 2018. ERIN ENDERLIN is an in-demand Nashville songwriter. She penned Alan Jackson's "Monday Morning Church," Lee Ann Womack's "Last Call," and others for Luke Bryan, Randy Travis, Terri Clark, Joey + Rory, and many more. Show notes

THE FARM HANDS are one of the most exciting and in demand bands in Bluegrass Music. Since their inception in 2010, the band has won an unprecedented 24 major awards including BAND OF THE YEAR at the 2018 Bluegrass Music Awards. Personnel includes Bluegrass Hall of Fame inductee Tim Graves on resophonic guitar, #1 hit songwriter Daryl Mosley, super picker Keith Tew, and champion banjo player Don Hill. His songs tell heartfelt stories about real people, and are unfailingly optimistic and forward looking. His current album "Dust Bowl - American Stories" spent 17 weeks on the Billboard charts. On this epic album, three years in the making, Smith takes you on a trip back through time, to the American Great Plains of the 1930s where over-farming, combined with a terrible drought that went on year after year, turned lush farmland into a wasteland. But within the hardship lie stories of love, joy, and the solid backbone of the American rancher and farmer. These stories are told in each song on this album. WoodSongs Kid: Phoebe White is an award winning 8-year-old singer from London, Kentucky.

WoodSongs 941: No BS! Brass and Michelle Malone Oct 25, 2018
    Show notes

NO BS! BRASS BAND has quickly earned a reputation as a premiere band to see for heart-pounding energy and uncontrollable dancing. Based in Richmond, Virginia, they take their music into uncharted territory, embracing the spirit of New Orleans into its original East Coast modern funk and fearlessly combining elements of James Brown, John Coltrane, Michael Jackson, and Led Zeppelin into their fiercely original sound. Founders Reggie Pace and Lance Koehler have cast this 11-piece band in which nearly every member has had conservatory training, holding various degrees in music. They have the look of New Orleans with the raw sound all their own -- music is a true definition of the “Richmond sound". MICHELLE MALONE defies easy description. Wild-haired Rock God, political singer/songwriter, passionate performer with roots in church music–no single characterization tells the whole story. Over the course of this Atlanta native's decades-spanning career, she’s collaborated with artists from Steve Earle to ZZ Top to Greg Allman, released more than a dozen records and gone indie when it still took guts. Equal parts badass guitar slinger and sweet songstress, Malone artfully balances her penchant for ripping it through the roof with masterful lyrical introspection and vocals that range from sublime to raucous. She'll be performing songs from her 15th release, the self-produced 'Slings and Arrows', which debuted at #8 on the Billboard blues charts. WoodSongs Kid: Williams Stone Atkins is high school student from Lexington, Kentucky with a passion for singing. He performs a classic Frankie Valli tune a cappela on the broadcast.
