30-(3YUM6) Review #1 Dec 17, 2021

Show notes

Loyal listeners know that in almost every episode we review a local restaurant during our (3YUM6) episode. Because we only review one restaurant each episode, it becomes difficult to compare restaurant to restaurant - especially when they are such different types of restaurants. So we decided to recalibrate and look over our former reviews and make sure they are accurate for you all.

27-Are You Smarter Than A 3rd Grader? Nov 19, 2021

Show notes

We had the fun opportunity to sit down with the 3rd graders at The Independent School (of which all three hosts are alumni) and they got to share their favorite fun facts about Wichita. Each year the 3rd graders at TIS learn about different Wichita topics as a project and so they wanted to share with us some of their knowledge! Many of them did topics we've talked about, many of them did topics we haven't, and at least one did a topic that neither David nor Andrew had ever heard about so a lot of learning was had all around.
A very special thank you to Mrs. Erin Wilson and Mrs. Erin Harter for setting this up and letting us talk to their kids!

23-Wichita State Football Plane Crash w/Rick Stephens Oct 02, 2021

Show notes

The boys were fortunate enough to have the chance to sit down with Rick Stephens, a survivor of the Wichita State University football plane crash of 1970. This year marks the 51st anniversary of the plane crash so we wanted to get a first hand look at what happened on that tragic day so many years ago.
Rick was kind enough to tell us his story and share some personal life updates as well. His goal is keeping the memory of the event and those that perished in it alive and we did our best to achieve his goal with this episode.
You can check out Rick's ride from last year at: https://www.facebook.com/Memorial70
