Just some fun fan art: bunch of different sketches, and several different AUs including the genderbent one that I think we shared on Twitter a while back but never actually featured as fan service.

As always, thanks for listening and all your support. We appreciate each and every one of you more than we can express. If you have a moment to add some additional support, a rating and review on iTunes or your pod catcher of choice would help immensely. And if you have the ability to support us monetarily, we have a Patreon here.

Thank you all, and stay whelmed.

Today in the Cave we have part two of the discussion with Kat Kuhl. I'm honored to welcome one of my industry heroes. You know that feeling where you can't tell if you're excited or nervous or both? That's me right now. Kat Kuhl is the co-founder of the One Shot Podcast Network and game company Paracosm Press, as well as being the Gamemaster behind the brilliant Star Wars Actually Play podcast, Campaign. I've been running and playing roleplaying games for coming on 40 years and every time I hear Kat run a game or play as a guest in one I learn something new. Luckily for us, Kat also happens to be a huge fan of the Titans and shares my love for one of the cornerstone mini-series in Titan's history.

Super Sweethearts : Spitfire Sep 06, 2017

Show notes

Welcome to the Cave, everyone, and welcome also to the second installment of "Super Sweethearts," the series where heroes hold hands and we all know smoochie moments are important. Here, I'll be talking about teen heroes in love and diving into the romantic arcs on the show and what we can learn as creators about portraying relationships in fiction.

Today we'll be talking about those two stubborn teenagers who just refused to admit they liked each other: Spitfire! (Known simply as Wally and Artemis to the uninitiated.) And as a quick spoiler warning before we dive in, I will say that I'll be talking about who ends up with who and how we get there, so be prepared for spoilers on that front.

As always, you can get in touch with us on Twitter @theYJfiles, on Facebook /crashingthemode, on our website www.crashingthemode.com, on Tumblr at theyjfiles.tumblr.com, and at our e-mail address whelmedpodcast@gmail.com. Don't forget to #KeepBingingYJ and #BuyYJComicsOnComixology (there are actually some really cute SuperMartian moments in the comics if you want to check them out), and to tune in soon for the next episode of the Young Justice Files. And remember (smoochies moments are important!) and Stay Whelmed!

Discussion : Gameable Podcast : RPGs and Inspiration Aug 30, 2017

Show notes

Today in the Cave, we have one of the hosts of Gameable Saturday Morning, Kris Newton. Kris is a freelance game designer in Northern California. Along with his wife, Katrina, Gameable Saturday Morning analyzes movies and animated series and mines them for roleplaying game story arcs, characters, and ideas. I was introduced to them through one of our listeners telling me about their deep-dive into Batman the Animated Series, and as we speak they are dedicating an entire month to Gargoyles!
