Episode 142: Randy Learned to Deal with Her Emotions and End Her Overeating Sep 17, 2019
    Show notes

Listen in with me as I interview Randy, one of the Freedom Group members. Her story isn’t that different from yours.

After years of dieting and not understanding why those diets didn’t work, Randy has finally found what we all want: freedom!

Randy learned all about the emotions that drove her to eat more than her body needed. She learned that there was nothing wrong with her. She had simply learned to use food to feel better and now knows the real solution to negative emotions.

Did you learn at an early age that it wasn’t okay to express your emotions? This is really common. We’re taught to be ‘good’ as children, and that meant suppressing those strong feelings.

Well, those feelings don’t go away. They hide under the surface and create such discomfort, that we turn to something to feel better. That’s what emotional eating is.

I want you to hear how Randy is dealing with her eating, her emotions and her guilt of taking care of herself so that she can permanently end her eating issues. And the end result? Weight loss of course, because she isn’t eating away her feelings.

But more than the weight loss, she has found the way to finally feel at peace with herself and her life.

And this, my friend, is priceless!

Get the Weight Loss You Want Podcast 140

In this podcast I’m going to show you how raising your standards in three specific areas of your life will give you what you want: normalized eating, better moods and less stress, and much better self-care. And that combination allows you to feel good – without turning to food – which results in the weight loss you want.

You’ll discover where your standards originally came from, how to know if you have high enough standards for yourself, and how your current standards are affecting your life.

The body and life you have today are a result of your standards. If you want different results, you need to up level your current standards in three areas.

I’ll walk you through the standards my Freedom Group members learn to create for themselves in order to reach their weight loss goals, end their emotional and overeating, and lose the whole struggle for good, once you understand this, I'll help you find the best weight loss treatments from websites like https://www.progressivemedicalcenter.com/therapy-bioidentical-horomones/.

    Who I Am Podcast 139

In this podcast I’ll talk about why saying, “That’s just who I am” after a failure is so harmful to your weight loss success.

If you fail at some part of your weight loss plan and let that derail you, you won’t reach your goal.

You might think, “I’ve failed – again – so I might as well give up” but that isn’t helpful.

But what do you say and do instead?

I’ll show you three very important things to do after a failure instead of saying, “That’s just who I am.” And these three things will make all the difference.

If you want to learn what to do about that fail you just had, listen in.

What you say and do next will be the difference between giving up and reaching your goal.

That’s what I call night-time eating. Eating after your last meal of the day – even though you aren’t hungry.

So why do you eat like this at the end of your day? And how do you start to unravel this behavior?

Episode 135: KonMari Your Mind Jul 30, 2019
    Show notes

    KonMari Podcast 135

The KonMari Method, created by Marie Kondo, is a set of rules and a mindset for tidying up – decluttering – your home.

You can apply the KonMari method to your mind, decluttering your thoughts.

The KonMari Method has 6 rules:

    1. Commit yourself to tidying up.
    2. Imagine your ideal lifestyle.
    3. Discard what really doesn’t work.
    4. Tidy by category, not location.
    5. Follow the right order.
    6. Ask yourself if it sparks joy.

In this coaching session I’ll explain why decluttering your mind is important for reaching your goals. And I’ll show you how to adapt the KonMari rules to do this.

I’ll walk you through each step so you can begin discarding thoughts that are not useful or joyful. It’s time to KonMari your mind!

Episode 134: Do You Expect to Lose Weight on Day 1? Jul 23, 2019
    Show notes

    Expect Podcast 134

In today’s coaching session we’re going to talk about what you expect when you start a new weight loss plan or program.

You’re so excited (and a bit scared) when you get started. You’re ready to really do it this time, aren’t you?

You may not want to admit it, but secretly you’re hoping to get on the scale tomorrow and see big changes. When you don’t, you get discouraged. And most likely, the new plan doesn’t last.

If that sounds familiar, listen in as I talk about this topic.

There are six things I’ll cover:

    1. What your expectations are when you start a new weight loss plan.
    2. Why you have these expectations.
    3. What happens when reality doesn’t match your expectations.
    4. The results of this pattern (it’s a never-ending cycle.)
    5. What is realistic to expect when you start a new plan.
    6. And what that reality requires of you.

Understand why you expect this and why it’s unrealistic. And these expectations are unrealistic. (We’re keeping it real here – I’ll always tell you the hard truth.)

How do you stop this cycle of starting a new weight loss plan, having unrealistic expectations, getting discouraged, and then quitting? Learn what to do instead of repeating that pattern.

I’ll show you how to see what is required of you if you want to succeed. And I’ll teach you what’s needed so you can stay on plan, stay on the path, and achieve your goal.

Join me for this coaching session and let’s put an end to the cycle of start-stop-repeat. It’s not getting you the results you want. It’s time to learn what to do instead.

Episode 133: Why Planning Ahead Really Works Jul 16, 2019
    Show notes

    Planning Podcast 133

Let’s take an honest look at how you’re deciding what to eat and when to eat.

If you’re letting triggers other than physical hunger determine what and when you eat, you’re not alone.

There are many triggers to eat that have nothing to do with physical hunger in your body. But continuing to be triggered to eat without hunger will not get you to your goal.

Triggers to eat are all around us, all the time. And they’re not going anywhere. What’s important is to learn how to respond to them in a way that actually helps you.

You already know I believe in planning ahead of time, both for what and when you eat. So, in today’s coaching session, let’s look at why planning works and why it’s important to your weight loss success.

I’ll explain why you’re susceptible to triggers (hint: it’s your lower brain) and what you can do about it. I’ll show you how you can retrain your brain. How you can create new programming (using your higher brain) that will build new habits in response to old triggers.

You may resist planning because of old associations with dieting rules and restrictions. We’ll talk about that in this coaching session, too.

Planning works because when you plan ahead – deciding ahead of time what and when you will eat – you are using your brain’s executive functions. And that provides you with guidance that always serves your highest good. Planning ahead is a foundational skill of eating like a natural eater.

Let’s get started so I can show you why planning really works and how you can begin using this tool today.
