Minnesota Preview - BACON | WUW 464 Oct 19, 2023

Show notes

Right on brand- we hardly preview any actual 'matchup' ahead of this weekend. We do at times discuss some Iowa/Minnesota relevant stats, fun facts about the matchup, and memories from our time in this rivalry. We provide absolutely zero hard hitting analysis of what could happen on the field Saturday. We do have a longer conversation about people jumping to conclusions with the rest of this schedule for Iowa and anointing them the Big West Champions with 5 games to play. We talk about the idea that some Iowa fans actually would rather have the Hawks miss out on an opportunity to play in the Championship just to avoid potential blowout. We make a massive announcement for the brand on a new collab we have coming soon, and we hit you with the Ward's Winners of the week.

Wisconsin Preview - CLOMPERS | WUW 462 Oct 12, 2023

Show notes

The Hawks head into the annual "this game probably decides the West" matchup at Camp Randall in Wisconsin. What are the chances Iowa can win this game, and what key factors play a role in Iowa keeping the score close when they are 10 point dogs walking in. We also discuss the Iowa Offensive line issues with continued mediocrity in the run game, and what we think the potential source of struggle could be, and we ponder what Coach Doyle's affect was on the team and if some of the struggle can be traced back to him leaving. We dropped a new exclusive design for G-Bone the intern, and we try to convince him to hop on the juice. We finish with Ward's winners segment as always.
