Lindsay Clancy, Nolan Wells, D4vd β€” The Questions That Won't Go Away Aug 04, 2026
    Show notes

Every major case in true crime is producing questions faster than anyone can answer them β€” and this episode addresses all of it.

Lindsay Clancy's trial: Patrick Clancy's two days of testimony, the 911 call played for the jury, the prescription bottles that complicate the overmedication defense, and whether anyone should have stopped this from ever reaching a courtroom. Nolan Wells: the contradictions between the friends and Katie McCormack, the sealed autopsy, the missing throat, the midnight call, and what Mississippi's governor thinks about the people demanding answers. D4vd: the nineteen-million-dollar motive, the bodycam lie, the chainsaws, the air fresheners, and the platforms that connected an eleven-year-old fan to a rising star.

Tony answers thirty audience questions across all three cases. No holding back. No hedging.

Nolan Wells' Mom Told The Sheriff And His Friends THIS Aug 03, 2026
    Show notes

The message was identical for all of them. The friends who left Nolan Wells on Horn Island with his phone. Their families. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office. The district attorney. The coroner. The state medical examiner. Every one of them received a ten-page preservation-of-evidence letter from Nolan's family attorneys on July 20 β€” the same day Nolan was buried at Center Pointe Church in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. The letters directed every recipient to suspend automatic deletion, preserve all materials in their original form, and treat civil litigation as reasonably anticipated. The message was clear: we are coming, and you need to keep everything.Nolan was eighteen. He went to a July 4 boat party on Horn Island with friends, was reportedly left behind when their boat took on water, and his body was found two days later. The sheriff said no foul play before the autopsy came back. The DA sealed the official results behind a grand jury with no set date. The independent autopsy returned undetermined.Nine days after the funeral, Christine Wells-Wonsley filed subpoenas against five tech companies for Nolan's digital records β€” including GPS data that she'd already found told two different stories depending on which app you checked. The criminal track and the family's civil track are now running simultaneously.

Lindsay Clancy Trial: Psychiatrist Testifies on Delirium and Changing Her Own Health Care Proxy Aug 03, 2026
    Show notes

The mental-health testimony everyone's been waiting for showed up this week in the Lindsay Clancy trial, courtesy of psychiatrist Dr. Sejal Shah, who treated Clancy during her hospital stay. Clancy, 34, of Duxbury, Massachusetts, is charged with three counts of murder and three counts of strangulation in the deaths of her children β€” Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 7 months β€” who prosecutors allege she strangled with exercise resistance bands inside the family's Summer Street home on January 24, 2023. She's pleaded not guilty. Her attorney, Kevin Reddington, is building an insanity defense around severe postpartum psychosis and psychiatric overmedication.

Shah described Clancy experiencing delirium in the hospital and testified that Clancy changed her health care proxy to her parents during that period β€” a procedural detail that ends up saying a lot about her state of mind at the time. Shah also gave the court a broader picture of Clancy's mental health, testimony both sides will likely revisit heavily as this trial moves forward.

After the alleged killings, Clancy is accused of attempting suicide by jumping from a second-story window, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. Her husband, Patrick Clancy, was running errands when it happened and has since relocated to Manhattan, where he's spoken publicly about his wife's mental health. The trial is underway in Plymouth Superior Court and is expected to run several weeks.

Why Nobody Reviewed Nolan Wells’ Medical Examiner Aug 03, 2026
    Show notes

Nobody ever reviewed Dr. Staci Turner's ruling in the Damien Cameron case β€” three independent experts said she got it wrong, and she kept her job. Now she holds the sealed autopsy results for eighteen-year-old Nolan Wells. Retired FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer examines the structural problem: a medical examiner whose credibility was challenged by three national pathologists and never held to account, now sitting on findings that a family and a country are waiting for. The conversation covers Hunter Elward's presence at Cameron's arrest and his later federal conviction in the Goon Squad cases, the DA's control over the grand jury process with no committed timeline, and what Mississippi's history demands of an investigation that involves a Black teenager found dead near a barrier island with no answers.

What Celeste Rivas Knew That Could End D4vd's Career Aug 03, 2026
    Show notes

She was fourteen. He had a recording contract worth up to nineteen million dollars. Prosecutors say Celeste Rivas Hernandez knew everything about their alleged relationship β€” and she was threatening to talk. Five days of preliminary hearing testimony laid out what happened next: a shopping list of disposal tools, bodycam of a deputy telling him she was thirteen over a year before, and a Tesla parked in an impound lot with her remains in the trunk while he played Coachella.

The judge ruled the evidence was enough for trial. D4vd faces first-degree murder with special circumstances. Death penalty eligible.

Tony answers ten audience questions covering the financial motive, the evidence, the parents, the bodycam, and the systemic failures that allegedly gave a rising star years of access to a child. Everything you asked. Everything you need to hear.

Nurses Testify in Lindsay Clancy Trial About Her First Days in the Hospital Aug 03, 2026
    Show notes

The medical staff who cared for Lindsay Clancy right after the Duxbury killings had their turn on the stand this week, and their testimony pulls back the curtain on what happened in that hospital room while the rest of the world was still trying to process the news. Clancy, 34, faces three counts of murder and three counts of strangulation over the deaths of her three children β€” Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 7 months β€” who prosecutors allege she strangled with exercise resistance bands inside the family's Summer Street home on January 24, 2023. She's pleaded not guilty, and her attorney, Kevin Reddington, is mounting an insanity defense centered on severe postpartum psychosis and psychiatric overmedication.

Rachelle Amedee, the trauma nurse who treated Clancy in that early window, testified that once Clancy regained the ability to communicate β€” via whiteboard, since she couldn't yet speak β€” she asked for her attorney. Draw your own conclusions on the timing. Meghan Collins, who worked in the ICU, described the treatment Clancy received during her stay there, adding medical detail to the aftermath of an alleged suicide attempt that left Clancy paralyzed from the waist down after jumping from a second-story window.

Her husband, Patrick Clancy, was running errands at the time of the killings. He's since moved to Manhattan and given interviews about his wife's mental state. The trial is underway in Plymouth Superior Court and is expected to stretch several weeks.

Lindsay Clancy Almost Died That Same Night Aug 03, 2026
    Show notes

While prosecutors in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial argue she faked her injuries, a Duxbury police officer confirmed on the stand that a Code Blue was called for her hospital room at Brigham and Women's. The officer spent sixteen hours watching Clancy lie sedated and motionless. She never said a word.

Day 4 of testimony at Plymouth Superior Court started with the jury touring the Duxbury house at 47 Summer Street. They went through in groups of six β€” the basement where Patrick Clancy found the children, the upstairs bedroom where blood was found on the floor, the bed, the walls, and the windowsill, and the second-story window prosecutors say Lindsay jumped from. The judge overruled the current homeowner's objection to the visit.

A detective testified about meeting Clancy at South Shore Hospital, where she was unconscious with lacerations across her neck and wrists. Defense attorney Kevin Reddington showed photographs of blood throughout the bedroom and a knife on the nightstand. Then ER physicians described treating Dawson Clancy, three years old, for forty minutes before declaring him dead β€” and getting eight-month-old Callan's heart beating again only to find no brain activity. Callan died at Boston Children's Hospital.

Clancy is charged with three counts of first-degree murder. Her defense argues postpartum psychosis made her unable to appreciate the wrongfulness of her actions. The trial continues Monday.

Lindsay Clancy Case: Hostile Cross-Exam and Crime Scene Testimony Fill Courtroom Today Aug 03, 2026
    Show notes

Today's session in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial split between tense and procedural. Clancy, 34, of Duxbury, Massachusetts, is accused of strangling her three children β€” Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 7 months β€” with exercise resistance bands inside the family's Summer Street home on January 24, 2023. She faces three counts of murder and three counts of strangulation, has pleaded not guilty, and is pursuing an insanity defense through attorney Kevin Reddington, who's arguing she was overwhelmed by severe postpartum psychosis and psychiatric overmedication.

The morning brought Dr. Kelly McDonough, an emergency medicine physician who treated Clancy at the hospital. Her testimony should have been straightforward, but Reddington's cross turned hostile as she struggled to recall specific details β€” not unusual for a doctor years removed from a single case, but exactly the opening a defense attorney looks for.

The afternoon shifted gears with Sgt. Rose Stoffers of the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services Section, who described coordinating with forensic scientists at South Shore Hospital to document Clancy's injuries. No fireworks β€” just the kind of groundwork that quietly builds the record both sides will argue over for the rest of this trial.

Prosecutors maintain Clancy understood what she was doing regardless of her mental state. After the killings, she allegedly attempted suicide by jumping from a second-story window and is now paralyzed from the waist down. Her husband, Patrick Clancy, was running errands when it happened and has since relocated to Manhattan, later speaking publicly about her mental health. The trial continues in Plymouth Superior Court and is expected to stretch several weeks.

Lindsay Clancy Trial: What Boston Children's Hospital Doctors Saw That Night Aug 03, 2026
    Show notes

The doctors who treated Lindsay Clancy's three children took the stand today in her murder trial. Clancy, 34, of Duxbury, Massachusetts, is accused of strangling 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 7-month-old Callan with exercise resistance bands inside the family's Summer Street home on January 24, 2023. She faces three counts of murder and three counts of strangulation, has pleaded not guilty, and is mounting an insanity defense β€” attorney Kevin Reddington argues she was in the grip of severe postpartum psychosis and psychiatric overmedication when it happened.

Dr. Michael Snyder of Beth Israel Hospital, Dr. Andrew Capraro from the Boston Children's Hospital ER, and Dr. David Casavant from the Boston Children's ICU testified about how the children arrived and what treatment looked like once they got there. Central to their testimony: the brain injuries caused by lack of oxygen, injuries that hit hardest in Callan, the youngest and most vulnerable of the three. When doctors describe irreversible brain damage in a baby who hadn't even started crawling, there's no legal maneuvering that softens it. That's the part of this trial no defense strategy gets to touch.

Prosecutors are expected to argue Clancy understood the nature of her actions despite the defense's mental-health claims. After the killings, Clancy allegedly attempted to take her own life by jumping from a second-story window, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. Her husband, Patrick Clancy, was out of the home running errands at the time and has since relocated to Manhattan. The trial, underway in Plymouth Superior Court before Judge William F. Sullivan, is expected to last several weeks.

Why Hours Passed Before Anyone Called Nolan Wells' Mother Aug 03, 2026
    Show notes

The friends docked the boat. They had Nolan Wells' phone and his keys. They drove home. And for hours β€” while an eighteen-year-old sat on an island with no cell service, no shelter, and no way off β€” nobody called his mother. Christine Wonsley did not know her son was missing until almost midnight.

In the weeks since, the girl his friends say he stayed to talk to has been identified and her account contradicts theirs. Two autopsies have produced no definitive cause of death. The DA sealed the state's results behind a grand jury. The FBI is investigating death threats. And the governor has accused the family's own advocates of stoking division.

Ten questions from the audience. Tony answers them straight β€” the contradictions, the sealed evidence, the missing hours, and why this case will not go away until somebody tells the truth.
