Keffe D's Gang Title Just Came Out In Court?! Aug 26, 2026
    Show notes

On Day 7 of the Tupac Shakur murder trial, a former gang detective told the jury what Duane "Keffe D" Davis's rank inside the South Side Compton Crips actually was. He explained what that rank means for who gives the orders.

Robert Ladd, who spent years tracking the gang as part of Compton's two-man gang unit, identified Davis by a specific title in the hierarchy. He testified about Orlando Anderson's initiation, gang codes of respect, and what happens when a high-ranking member feels disrespected. The prosecution used Ladd to bridge a gap: Davis didn't fire the gun, but his position in the gang tells you whose decision it was. Greenidge, Tupac's childhood friend, corroborated where the shots came from β€” the back seat, not the front where Davis sat.

Three analysts also walked the jury through Davis's Henderson home search from September 2023. Among the items recovered: his own memoir and newspaper clippings about the night Tupac was killed, stored for nearly three decades.

Lindsay Clancy Trial: Reddington Rips Apart FBI Witness's Untested Claims Aug 26, 2026
    Show notes

An FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit psychiatrist spent today's session in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial getting picked apart on cross-examination, and it wasn't pretty. Dr. Gregory Saathoff testified in the case of the Duxbury, Massachusetts mother accused of strangling her three children β€” 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 7-month-old Callan β€” with exercise resistance bands inside the family's Summer Street home on January 24, 2023. Clancy faces three counts of murder and three counts of strangulation, has pleaded not guilty, and attorney Kevin Reddington is arguing she was in the grip of severe postpartum psychosis and psychiatric overmedication.

Reddington's cross-examination exposed how much of Saathoff's account rested on secondhand information. On the 911 call, Saathoff admitted he heard only grunts from Clancy β€” not the statement about trying to kill herself, which came from Patrick Clancy's testimony. The claim that Clancy crushed pills also traced back to Patrick, with nothing tested to verify it, leaving Reddington to ask how the empty bottles wound up in a drawer if no one checked. Saathoff acknowledged psychosis can produce false memories and distorted recollection of events. He also revealed he never personally tried to speak with Clancy's mother, relying entirely on the DA's office telling him she was unwilling β€” he didn't ask Reddington for access either. On redirect, ADA Jennifer Sprague had him walk through his postpartum psychosis experience, including two patients who became psychotic on a drug that's since been discontinued, and he called Dr. Tufts' treatment of Clancy appropriate.

Prosecutors maintain Clancy understood the nature of her actions. She allegedly attempted suicide afterward by jumping from a second-story window and is now paralyzed from the waist down. The trial continues in Plymouth Superior Court.

Lindsay Clancy's Expert Called Her a Grieving Mother and Then Said What Aug 26, 2026
    Show notes

An FBI forensic psychiatrist found a crack in the voice that Lindsay Clancy says told her to kill her children β€” and it starts with a bowl of chicken nuggets on a couch.

Gregory Saathoff, a senior psychiatrist for the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, testified on August 25 that Clancy told him she was at the refrigerator preparing chicken nuggets for the children when Patrick called and the voice began. Patrick told Saathoff the children were already eating. Crime scene photographs showed a bowl on the couch. Saathoff called the discrepancy "a cause for significant concern" and identified a second inconsistency β€” Clancy gave different timelines for when the voice started to two separate evaluators, a gap of roughly twenty minutes.

Earlier in the day, prosecution expert Kirk Heilbrun completed his testimony with a collision the jury will carry into deliberations. He told the courtroom Clancy is a grieving mother who tried hard to get help and is not self-centered β€” then testified she's criminally responsible. Reddington spent the cross exposing his $54,000 bill and his last encounter with postpartum psychosis in 1982. Heilbrun didn't move. Closing arguments expected Thursday.

Lindsay Clancy Trial: Defense Exposes Gaps in FBI Psychiatrist's Testimony Aug 26, 2026
    Show notes

The Lindsay Clancy murder trial, unfolding in Plymouth Superior Court, moved into a rough patch for the prosecution today. Clancy, 34, of Duxbury, Massachusetts, is accused of strangling her three children β€” Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 7 months β€” with exercise resistance bands inside the family's Summer Street home on January 24, 2023. She's pleaded not guilty to three counts of murder and three counts of strangulation, and attorney Kevin Reddington is running an insanity defense centered on severe postpartum psychosis and psychiatric overmedication.

On cross-examination, Reddington went straight at the credibility of the state's expert. Dr. Gregory Saathoff, a forensic psychiatrist with FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit ties, had testified Clancy understood right from wrong and was criminally responsible despite a bipolar II diagnosis. Under questioning, he acknowledged he wasn't retained until January or February of 2026, more than three years after the killings, and said he had no idea what his university employer was paid for his time on the case. Reddington also got him to acknowledge a pattern: his expert testimony history runs almost entirely for prosecutors, prisons, and universities β€” not for defendants.

The most uncomfortable stretch came over homicidal ideation. Saathoff confirmed Clancy had told her husband and mother about it directly. But asked whether she'd raised dark, intrusive thoughts of suicide and homicidal ideation with doctors and others more broadly, he wouldn't agree that the homicidal ideation part reached that far β€” even while admitting she repeatedly sought help and told doctors about dark and suicidal thoughts. Nobody, it turns out, ever asked her the one question that might matter most: were these just thoughts, or voices.

Clancy is paralyzed from the waist down after her own alleged suicide attempt. Husband Patrick Clancy, absent from the home that day, now lives in Manhattan. The trial continues.

Lindsay Clancy Trial: Expert Says Voice Never Named a Method or Room Aug 26, 2026
    Show notes

The murder trial of Lindsay Clancy, the 34-year-old Duxbury, Massachusetts mother accused of strangling her three children β€” Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 7 months β€” with exercise resistance bands inside the family's Summer Street home on January 24, 2023, moved into expert psychiatric testimony this week. Clancy faces three counts of murder and three counts of strangulation, has pleaded not guilty, and is mounting an insanity defense built around severe postpartum psychosis and psychiatric overmedication, argued by attorney Kevin Reddington.

The prosecution called in serious firepower: Dr. Gregory Saathoff, a forensic psychiatrist who's worked with the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit. His testimony cut in a specific direction β€” he said the voice Clancy described hearing never instructed her on how or where to kill her children. That distinction matters more than it sounds like it should in an insanity case; prosecutors want jurors to see agency where the defense wants them to see command hallucinations.

Saathoff also walked the jury through what he called a sense of "burdensomeness" β€” Clancy believing she was a drain on her family, that returning to work wasn't realistic, that the finances didn't work with her in the picture. He called her suicide attempt "very, very serious," citing the multiple methods she tried as evidence of real intent, not a cry for help.

He diagnosed bipolar II as the best fit for her condition and confirmed she was suffering from a mental disease at the time β€” but then testified she understood right from wrong and was criminally responsible regardless.

Clancy survived her own suicide attempt by jumping from a second-story window and is now paralyzed from the waist down. Husband Patrick Clancy, out running errands during the killings, has since relocated to Manhattan. The trial continues in Plymouth Superior Court, expected to run several more weeks.

Why A Coworker Told Lindsay Clancy About Andrea Yates Aug 26, 2026
    Show notes

If Lindsay Clancy was truly psychotic, why would she care whether Patrick was home? That's the question in this comment section, and it's the prosecution's argument, so it deserves the record's answer.

Prosecutors allege she timed the errand. Patrick Clancy testified she asked him to add the CVS stop as he was walking out, and texted the product name around 5:15. Both facts are in evidence. Whether that adds up to premeditation is the jury's call, and the prosecution's own witness, Dr. Sejal Shah, agreed a person in psychosis can still communicate and plan.

Her account of that night comes through three witnesses. Zeizel, Cavanaugh, and Mack all testified she described a male voice telling her she had no choice and had to kill the children and then herself. That's her claim, and prosecutors contest it. It's also the exact sequence she was on when Patrick found her in the yard.

Another comment bets on OCPD. No expert who testified diagnosed it. The record has bipolar disorder from experts on both sides, major depression from Mack, and postpartum psychosis from the defense only.

Then there's the coworker. Margaret Hamp testified she told Lindsay about Andrea Yates during Lindsay's first year on the unit, because a pregnant patient had come in planning to hurt herself. Lindsay had never heard the name. Her reaction is on the record and it opens this segment.

Five comments about whether Lindsay was in her right mind, each checked against the doctors, the nurse practitioner, the therapist, and the standard the judge gave the jury. The psychosis fight is real. It's happening between experts, and the comment section is a long way behind them.

Who Locked Lindsay Clancy's Bedroom Door That Night Aug 26, 2026
    Show notes

One comment on this channel says the doctors found no head injuries on Lindsay Clancy, which proves she never went out the window head-first, which proves the defense pathologist is lying. Two facts from the record, one wrong conclusion.

Dr. Kelly McDonough of South Shore Hospital testified that CT scans showed no head injury. A defense medical expert testified to a C1 Jefferson fracture, a break in the top vertebra of the neck that happens when the skull drives down into the spine on impact. That's the injury you get landing on your head without fracturing the skull. The head-first fall is the defense's account; the slide down the shingles is the prosecution's. Both put her going out that window on her own.

The same commenter heard about the voice only once. The record has it from the prosecution's first witness. Patrick Clancy testified Lindsay called him from her hospital bed on Feb. 6, 2023 and told him a voice had ordered her to kill the children and herself. Forensic psychologist Paul Zeizel was on speaker for that call. Chaplain Sheila Cavanaugh said Lindsay alluded to it several times across 14 visits. Dr. Phillip Resnick heard it. So did Dr. Avram Mack, the prosecution's rebuttal psychiatrist, who testified she told him it started the moment Patrick left for CVS. What prosecutors argue is that it doesn't appear in her records before Jan. 24.

This is the first segment of Lindsay Clancy: Conspiracy and Confusion, five comments checked against sworn testimony. It covers the rope that appears in no exhibit, the blood on the window, the knife, the carotid search her own lawyer showed the jury, and whether Patrick fled. The record answers each one.

Bridegan Prosecutors Never Proved Fernandez Said One Word Aug 26, 2026
    Show notes

Mario Fernandez's murder trial hit its most consequential moment on Day 6 when the prosecution rested and the defense challenged the court to identify a single piece of direct evidence that Fernandez solicited Henry Tenon to kill Jared Bridegan. The judge denied the acquittal motion, but the prosecution's argument revealed how far circumstantial evidence has to stretch without a confession, a cooperating witness, or a recorded conversation.

The state's financial case centers on three checks from Fernandez's business to Tenon after the February 2022 killing. They total $10,000, with memo lines reading "landscaping," "roofing," and "kickstarter good luck." The prosecution says no invoices exist for the described work. The defense says Tenon did legitimate work on Fernandez's properties and no payments were made before the murder, making the timing consistent with delayed compensation.

The gun thread hit its biggest obstacle when John Biggerstaff, the man investigators believe once owned the murder weapon, denied giving any firearm to Fernandez. His son Juan, a former police officer, backed the denial despite having recorded his father at his department's instruction. The prosecution landed circumstantial counters: Biggerstaff's online searches, shifted stories about the gun's location, and a statement to his son that police only cared about the 10mm. Closing arguments start Tuesday afternoon.

Why Lindsay Clancy's and Nolan Wells' Prosecutors Skipped the Same Step Aug 26, 2026
    Show notes

Two prosecutors, one blind spot. Plymouth County called a psychiatrist to prove Lindsay Clancy was responsible, and the jury heard him relay the voice she described. Jackson County pledged a grand jury would see everything it gathered on Nolan Wells, and it never gathered the phone. Jennifer Coffindaffer, a 25-year FBI veteran, works both with Tony Brueski.

In Massachusetts, the last defense witness was Dr. Phillip Resnick, by video, on August 21, 2026. He put Clancy in the same category as Andrea Yates: psychotic, following orders from a voice. Coffindaffer says sick and still responsible. Tony puts every argument next to a fact. Yates planned too. The testing showed no faking. She had a psychiatrist session the day before. She's paralyzed and on suicide watch. The chaplain heard about the voice in 2023 and the lawsuit came in 2026. McLean sent her home nineteen days out. Mack first met her in April 2026.

In Mississippi, the 18-year-old never came home from a July 4 boat trip. The phone did. His mother says what she found on it had been emptied out; his friends say they left it alone. The July 15 joint-exam deal produced no date. The DA's 48-hour letter arrived August 12, and the family answered with August 18 through 21. Seven weeks on, no exam, and the DA's statements don't say the word.

The sheriff's office cleared the case of foul play on day two, pre-autopsy, and never asked for the phone. The Congressional Black Caucus, the NAACP, and Al Sharpton all weighed in before any test. The friends handed over their own phones to federal agents voluntarily.

Clancy maintains a not guilty plea on lack of criminal responsibility, and nobody has been charged over Nolan. Both cases are about to be decided by citizens, and in both the state is missing the piece that answers the question.

Lindsay Clancy Trial: FBI Psychiatrist Reveals the Voice That Told Her to Kill Pt 2 Aug 25, 2026
    Show notes

Dr. Gregory Saathoff, a forensic psychiatrist who's consulted with the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, spent today explaining what he found when he sat down with Lindsay Clancy β€” the Duxbury, Massachusetts mother accused of strangling her three children, 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 7-month-old Callan, with exercise resistance bands inside the family's Summer Street home on January 24, 2023. Clancy faces three counts of murder and three counts of strangulation. She's pleaded not guilty, and her attorney Kevin Reddington is building an insanity defense around severe postpartum psychosis and psychiatric overmedication.

Saathoff isn't new to this territory β€” he told the court he's evaluated and treated five to seven women in the prison system who killed their children, and co-authored a paper on postpartum psychosis back in the 1980s. He drew a line for jurors between psychosis, which he called a symptom rather than a standalone illness, and the diagnoses that can produce it. He also walked through the difference between Serious Mental Illness β€” schizophrenia, bipolar I β€” and Any Mental Illness, the broader category that includes things like anxiety and PTSD.

The heart of his testimony: after interviewing Clancy over Zoom for roughly 11 hours across May and June 2026, Saathoff said she described an external voice that surfaced while making dinner, right after hanging up with Patrick Clancy β€” telling her this was her last chance, that she had to kill the kids and then herself. He testified the voice stopped once she strangled Callan, her youngest, but had already gone quiet before she attempted suicide. He flagged that as unusual, along with inconsistencies between her account and what collateral witnesses told him β€” including the decision to order Three V takeout, and Clancy allegedly steering her husband toward a specific drugstore to keep him out of the house longer.
