Tim Conway Jr. was born and raised in Los Angeles and is the son of iconic comedy legend Tim Conway of The Carol Burnett Show. Throughout his career, Conway has been featured on Fox 11, CBS, NBC, and ABC, and has received numerous industry honors including a Golden Mic Award, an Edward R. Murrow Award, and a Marconi Award nomination for Personality of the Year. When he’s not entertaining listeners, Conway enjoys spending time with his family, supporting local charities, and hanging out at the racetracks.

Don’t Bring Sand to the Beach — Unless You Live in OC and Long Beach Sep 24, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 3 (09.23) Taylor Swift just dropped word of four new songs, kicking off with the single “Patient Zero” and a run of collector CDs — and Travis Kelce isn’t going anywhere. Speaking of scams, Super Bowl LXI is coming to LA next Valentine’s Day, so don’t bite on those “too good to be true” hotel deals; prices are about to go nuclear. The leftovers of Mexico’s Hurricane Polo could still swipe Orange County and Long Beach and peel more sand off beaches already chewed up by the last storm that hammered Huntington. We’ve never seen SoCal like this.

Mayor Karen Bass is on with Tim tomorrow at 6 p.m. — hit TalkBacks if you’ve got a question. Huntington’s Pacific Airshow is October 2–4.

In Riverside, two brothers got popped for impersonating cops, and the driver was already on probation. Ding-dongs.

A Burbank physical therapist got rinsed for about $2,000 in bogus Zelle charges — Julia MacFarland, we’re onto you. And those license-plate readers everybody hates? The two-month pause is over. LAPD is expanding them, but with tighter rules and shorter storage times on the photos.

Gen Z’s Newest Dating Ick? Going Dutch. Those Cheap Little Bastards. Sep 24, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 4 (09.23) Timmy revisits the night he mistook Bob Saget for a valet and lived to apologize on the air. In Michigan, a guy pulled into a driveway that had been poured minutes earlier — cue the bobcat, the wrecked concrete and a whole new slab.

Search called off for a Carnival Cruise passenger who went overboard 56 miles from Puerto Vallarta on a ship bound for Long Beach. Heartbreaking. KFI’s own Amy King is on the line ahead of Friday’s Over the Edge rappel down a 26-story downtown building for Union Rescue Mission — not just a bed for the night, but a path off the street, with about 80% of clients making it out and up. Donate at urm.org/ote. Atta girl, Amy.

Gen Z’s newest dating ick is the check: Zelle says 52% have ghosted, blocked or unfollowed after promising to Venmo their half. One in five have gone into debt — or tapped the Bank of Mom and Dad — just to keep dating.

La Verne remains under evacuation after a lithium-ion fire at MWD’s Weymouth plant. Santa Monica’s 1941 pier sign is headed to Vegas for a makeover while the bridge gets rebuilt. A nor’easter is pounding the East Coast, Hurricane Polo is eyeing California, and we haven’t had a single volcano this year — a 112-year first that has folks talking monster El Niño. Get the flood insurance.

7:50 — Vitello's in Studio City faces backlash for hosting A Killer Night in Studio City, an immersive murder mystery created by Noah Blake. The controversy stems from the restaurant's connection to the 2001 killing of Bonny Lee Bakley, which followed a dinner there with Noah's father, Robert Blake.

    Show notes

Hour 3 (09.22) A historic sea turtle nesting in Orange County has environmentalists scrambling, while Carrot Top's hospitalization prompts Tim to revisit a surprisingly memorable interview. Plus, Simone Biles reveals a frightening home break-in and Hollywood workers rally outside Paramount.

8:05 — Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Thompson, is recovering after a reported suicide attempt that led to the cancellation of his long-running Las Vegas show. Tim recalls interviewing him alongside Adam Carolla and explains why the comedian left such a positive impression.

8:20 — Tim and Crozier swap stories about legendary comedian Gallagher. The conversation then turns to an extraordinary discovery in Orange County, where endangered olive ridley sea turtles laid eggs in what officials say is the first recorded natural sea turtle nesting on the U.S. West Coast. Some advocates are calling for nearby events to minimize impacts on the nesting sites.

8:35 — Simone Biles revealed that three masked men stole her Porsche GTS from her Chicago-area home before she and husband Jonathan Owens moved away. The vehicle was later recovered, and Biles says the incident helped convince the couple to get a Doberman for security. Tim also discusses Long Beach preparations as communities monitor conditions associated with a strengthening El Niño.

8:50 — Southern California prepares for another stretch of intense heat while forecasters track Hurricane Polo off Mexico's Pacific coast. The Art of the Deal with Paramount and Warner Bros Sep 22, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 1 (09.21) Mark’s limping into the Conway castle with a mystery ankle, a Chargers-shaped hole in his wallet, and Petros Papadakis of “Petros and Money” booming in for backup — while Timmy takes a “We Buy Junk Cars” card on his 2020 luxury ride as a personal insult. The losing streak continues: $14,000 at the track, then a dead Arby’s gift card in Long Beach (hold the cheese). Mark remembers poker with late “Simpsons” creator Sam Simon, who got clipped for $600 by ALT 98.7’s Booker, and some ranking of L.A.-born radio legends has Conway at No. 46. F them. Tomorrow’s the first day of fall; September 26 is LA’s equal-day-and-night equinox. Paramount and Warner Bros. settle the multi-state antitrust fight: Rob Bonta says they stay put instead of fleeing to Nashville or Atlanta, the merger can proceed on those terms, and the Writers Guild gets $7.5 million. Bellio’s a sweetheart — Marilyn’s old psychic Kenny Kingston would say so — Mark’s telethon psychic promised him $3,394 (didn’t happen), and a doctor at a Walk for Autism quietly ran Timmy through the seven screening questions (also didn’t happen).

6:05 —Hobbling Mark is in the house with Timmy Conway Jr. and special cameo guest, the bellowing-voiced Petros Papadakis from the “Petros and Money” show! They’re chitchatting about Marky Mark’s mysterious broken ankle and the LA Chargers, who are apparently in big trouble this season and therefore, Mark is losing moolah. Timmy is rather offended about the “We Buy Junk Cars” business card that was placed on his luxury vehicle, which is a 2020 model.

6:20 — Timmy lost $14,000 gambling at the track this weekend. To console himself, he went to Arby’s in Long Beach and because he was cleaned out, he had to use a gift card — that didn’t end up working, even without the cheese. Mark recalls the time he played in a poker game with late creator of “The Simpsons,” Sam Simon, who got ripped off by Booker of ALT 98.7’s “Booker & Stryker” fame to the tune of $600. We also find out that of the all-time most popular radio personalities born and raised in LA, Timmy is rated No. 46. F them.

6:35 — Tomorrow is the first day of fall! On September 26 we have equinox day in LA — that’s the only day of the year when we have daylight and nighttime equally. And now to the Paramount and Warner Bros. merger: The two companies were sued by multiple states for violating antitrust law, but California AG Rob Bonta has just announced that the entertainment giants have reached a deal that means they will not move headquarters to Nashville or Atlanta, and the merger is able to go ahead, provided they adhere to the terms of the agreement. The Writers Guild receives $7.5 million as part of the deal.

6:50 — Is Conway producer Bellio a sweet spirit? She sure is! Marilyn Monroe’s favorite and only psychic Kenny Kingston, who never paid for parking, would agree with that sentiment. Speaking of which, Mark had a peculiar interaction with a psychic at a telethon, who predicted he would come into $3,394. Spoiler: He did not. Also, Timmy recalls the time he was at a Walk for Autism event and a doctor slyly asked him the seven questions doctors ask to see if someone has autism. Spoiler: He did not.

We Got Conway Kitty-Cats Galore and a Scam Involving the Garage Door! Sep 22, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 2 (09.21) Timmy caught a stunner of a Huntington Beach sunset Saturday, then reality: El Niño is pointed at LA, Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency, and Conway’s shopping flood insurance like everybody else who’s sick of home premiums, HOAs, and special assessments. Mark’s ankle has him in full James Caan “Misery” mode — hobbling, bedbound, miserable — but newlywed Courtney is no Annie Wilkes; she’s at the pet store grabbing supplies for two new kittens. The El Niño emergency is for weather that isn’t even here yet: high tides, floods, winter storms, snow if it gets ugly. Nicolas Cage’s place on Malibu’s Sea Level Drive is already red-tagged after a sinkhole opened in front of it and blocked the street, plus there’s a new garage-door scam making the rounds. Timmy hits a live Rams–Giants update (no spoilers), then Newport’s vanishing beach: they’re hauling 200,000 cubic yards of sand — a football field 3.5 feet deep — from the West Newport river bottom down to The Wedge before the surf eats more coast.

7:05 — Timmy was on beautiful Huntington Beach Saturday night and enthralled by the sunset. El Nino is on its way to LA, so Gov. Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency. Timmy is shopping for new flood insurance for his home. The crew (and the entire world) agrees that they are no fans of the exorbitant cost of home insurance, HOAs and special assessments.

7:20 — Mark is griping about his destroyed ankle, how it makes him feel like James Caan in “Misery,” bedbound, hobbling and utterly miserable. So, does that make his beautiful newlywedded wife Courtney the Kathy Bates character Annie Wilkes? Hardly, she’s at the pet store right now picking up pet supplies for the two new kitties they’re adopting!

7:35 — To Gavin Newsom’s state of emergency because of El Nino, which isn’t here yet. How d we prepare and capitalize on this strange weather event, which might not even happen? Worst case scenario is high tides, flooding, winter storms and snow. Nicholas Cage’s home on Malibu’s Sea Level Drive has already been red tagged because of the giant sinkhole that opened up in front of it, blocking access to other homes along the street. Also, we now must be aware of the latest scam involving garage doors.

7:50 — Timmy gives us a live Rams vs. New York Giants update. Won’t spoilt it for you here! To Newport Beach and its disappearing sand thanks to El Nino, they’re having to ship 200,000 cubic yards of sand (enough to fill one football field with 3.5 feet of sand) from West Newport Beach’s river bottom to Orange County’s Wedge thanks to crashing, heavy surf that’s eroded the coastline.

Thanks for listening to Tim Conway Jr. on KFI! 🎙️

Streaming is Beaming, the Rams are Ruling and Good Golly It’s Dolly! Sep 22, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 3 (09.21) Timmy’s been a lifelong Rams guy since the third grade, rocking that old white-and-blue jacket every day until the team switched to yellow and blue and little Timothy upgraded on the spot — which is still a happier fate than his cousin, a die-hard Detroit Lions fan still reeling from Matthew Stafford bolting to LA.

Do not take Mark’s bookie tips, because Mr. Cankle cannot catch a break at the windows. Tragic news out of South LA, where a worker at a senior living facility opened fire in the lobby and seriously wounded three coworkers.

Marky Mark and Timmy Tim agree TV and streaming have never been better — back in Tim’s day, NBC, CBS and ABC had lawyers and sponsors breathing down their necks, and now streaming has forced everybody to raise their game. Over the weekend, a man rode trains and buses all over the West Coast while spreading measles. And Dolly Parton gets her day in California on September 25 — nine to five, get it?

The Chargers may be in the doldrums, but the 49ers haven’t won a Super Bowl since 1994 and the Cowboys since 1995. Check out Mark on YouTube with “The Mark Thompson Show”!

8:05 —Did you know? Timmy is a lifelong Rams fan and used to wear his white-and-blue Rams jacket to school every day in the Third Grade. Then the team changed their colors to yellow and blue, so Lil Timothy upgraded. He’s fared so much better than his cousin who is a lifelong Detroit Lions fan and is devastated that Matthew Stafford left and went to LA.

8:20 — Do not take Mark’s advice at the bookies because Mr. Cankle cannot catch a break when it comes to betting. To the tragedy today at a senior living facility in South LA, where a worker there got miffed about having to, y’know, work, so he grabbed a handgun and opened fire in the lobby, seriously wounding three of his coworkers.

8:35 — Marky Mark and Timmy Tim agree that TV and streaming shows have never been better. When Tim was growing up, NBC, CBS and ABC had lawyers constantly telling them what they could or couldn’t do, plus commercial concerns, so now the bar has been raised, what with streaming forcing networks to up their creative game. Over the weekend, a man was riding trains and buses all over the West Coast, spreading measles. And now, Dolly Parton will have her day in California on September 25. Geddit? Nine to five!

8:50 — The Chargers may presently be in the doldrums, but did you know last time the San Francisco 49ers won a Super Bowl was in 1994?! And the last time the Dallas Cowboys won was in 1995! Check out Mark on YouTube with “The Mark Thompson Show”!

From Psychic Sweet Souls to Pet-Shop A-Holes Sep 22, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 4 (09.21) Mark hobbles in with a mystery ankle and a Chargers-sized dent in his bankroll, Petros Papadakis of “Petros and Money” piles on with that foghorn voice, and Timmy finds a “We Buy Junk Cars” card on his 2020 luxury ride — ding-dong, it’s not a junker. The losing streak includes $14,000 at the track and a penance Arby’s in Long Beach with no drink.

Mark remembers poker with late “Simpsons” creator Sam Simon getting clipped for $600 by ALT 98.7’s Booker, and an L.A.-born radio ranking has Conway at No. 46. F them. Bellio’s a sweetheart (Kenny Kingston would agree), Mark’s telethon psychic promised $3,394 (nope), and a Walk for Autism doctor ran Timmy through the seven screening questions (also nope).

Then cat chaos: The Conway house once had 22 of them, they gave most away at Gelson’s including Mom’s favorite, a store wouldn’t let her take an indoor-only cat, so Timmy pretended he wasn’t her son to adopt it. The pile-on was immense.

9:05 — Mark Thompson’s limping into the Conway castle with a mystery ankle and a lighter wallet — the Chargers are tanking and taking his bets with them. Petros Papadakis of “Petros and Money” drops in with that foghorn voice to pile-on. Then Timmy finds a “We Buy Junk Cars” card on his 2020 ride and takes it personally. It’s a luxury car, ding-dong, not a junker.

9:20 — Timmy dropped $14,000 at the track this weekend — and the humiliation tour continued at an Arby’s in Long Beach, where he purposefully did not buy himself a drink, as an exercise in self punishment. Mark flashes back to a poker table with the late “Simpsons” creator Sam Simon, who got taken for $600 by ALT 98.7’s Booker. Then the insult: Some all-time LA-born radio ranking puts Conway at No. 46. F them.

9:35 — Bellio’s a sweet spirit — even Marilyn Monroe’s old psychic Kenny Kingston (the guy who never paid for parking) would back that up. Mark once got a telethon psychic who swore he’d come into $3,394. He did not. Timmy remembers a Walk for Autism where a doctor quietly ran him through those seven screening questions. Also not a match. Two spoilers, zero jackpots.

9:50 — Mark is a cat lover, as was the Conway household when Timmy was a lad. At one point, the Conways had 22 cats meowing around the house! So much so, they gave most of them away at the local Gelson’s, and unfortunately that included Mrs. Conway’s beloved cat. She tried to adopt another purrer, but the pet store wouldn’t allow it because the cat in question was an indoor cat only, so Timmy had to go in and pretend he was unrelated to his mom so he could adopt it for her. The pile-on was immense!
