The Morning After Nov 02, 2022
    Show notes

The United States has experienced unprecedented destruction of reproductive rights in recent years. Perhaps the most jarring example, in 2022, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, which guaranteed a constitutional right to abortion. And while not currently restricted like abortion, though it is often conflated with it, many barriers still block access to emergency contraception, or the morning-after pill.

In this episode, Amanda Johnson Morrison, co-founder and president of Julie, a new reproductive health company, explains what so many people get wrong about emergency contraception and why it's so important that the morning-after pill is accessible to everyone who needs it.

HOST: Ella Dove, Sr. Director of Creative Development at Well+Good

    GUESTS:

Amanda Johnson Morrison, Co-Founder of Julie

    WHAT WE TALKED ABOUT:

Amanda Johnson Morrison talks about Julie, a new company that she has co-founded in an effort to revamp the morning after pill and make emergency contraception more accessible through education and distribution. You can find more from Amanda and Julie here.
