    75. How Setting Boundaries In Your Marriage Can Stop The Battle's In Your Relationship Jul 20, 2022

    Many couple's don't discuss or feel the need to have boundaries in their marriage. They feel that boundaries take away freedom, or that they would only be needed due to a lack of trust in the relationship. Nothing could be further from the truth. Couple's that haven't discussed or agreed to certain boundaries in their marriage are much more likely to do something (even unintentionally) that could cause distrust or issues at some point in their marriage. Couples that have boundaries are much more likely to have MORE freedom and trust in their marriages and less problems as they have communicated and set boundaries in their relationship. If couples haven't discussed their boundaries with the opposite sex, or sexual boundaries in their own relationship, there is no line that is ever crossed if there is never a line (boundary established).
    Boundaries in marriage are a shield and a protection for your marriage....from all the onslaughts of the world trying to destroy marriages.

    We just had our 20th anniversary and we were discussing all the things we have learned over the past 20 years of our marriage (which are many). There were a lot of expectations of what we thought marriage would be like, and perceptions of things in life with our relationship and how we viewed other relationships as well. Of course we were wrong about many of our expectations and perceptions of what we thought. The things we have learned have helped our marriage tremendously, and although everyone's marriages are different and unique based upon their background and life experiences, we think most of these things on our list will resonate with you and help you in your marriage!
