In life there's always a contrast between where you are now – your current job, your current address, your current routine – and where you want to be – habits you want to have, dreams you wish for, goals you want to achieve. This contrast of reality can simply be referred to as "the gap".
In this episode of The Success Lift Podcast, Brian discusses the real meaning of the gap and how we can actually close it. The only way to do it is by changing the way we do things; change comes from within. This process requires work, awareness and a different perspective...but it only gets easier and easier. If you really make an effort to change, you will start to set the present free while also reaching for the future.

We're all defined by particular seasons of life and the dreams that come with it. Dreaming about personal plans, career projects and the future in general is easy; but it can become hard when we start questioning our ability to go after it. When we have self-doubt and tomorrow looks uncertain, there's just one person that can fight this battle and that person is you.
In this episode of The Success Lift Podcast, Brian welcomes Black Horowitz to talk about the battles he fought during his life to be where he is now. Black talks about his current goals in the music industry, where he sees his career going from now on, the importance of having a community to hold us accountable in our low moments and how sometimes in life all we have to do is keep our head up and be confident.

Consciously noticing the unconscious behaviors we reproduce everyday is the first step to live better. These behaviors, which can be good or bad, impact not only our logic and lifestyle but also our daily performance. The way we conduct many areas of life like career, relationships, social life, and health is influenced by these wired patterns. But in order to change it, we first need to be aware of it.
In this episode of The Success Lift Podcast, Brian talks with JL Holdsworth about identifying, understanding, and deciding what to do with such patterns. If they cause you no good, you must decide: make an effort to create change or use it to your advantage. This decision is crucial to what you will accomplish in life; because in the long run, how we do one thing is how we do everything.

Emotions control the way we navigate different experiences in life, taking ownership of our emotions – not only our actions – is the key to self-development. While it's very important to try to heal negative emotions, traumas and stories; it's also important to give space for other people's emotions, traumas and stories to be healed. It's not a competition about who suffered the most.
In this episode of The Success Lift Podcast, Brian sits down with Matthew Paetz to discuss exactly that: the more we look at emotional pain and traumas as the steering wheel of our lives, the deeper these same traumas can go. On that note, while physical pain cannot be hidden, emotional pain can and that's why it is so important to work on it. The goal here is transforming the pain; making it fuel for purpose.

One thing that holds us back and prevents us from moving forward is self-limiting beliefs. When we think our true potential has already been found, we no longer look for growth. Although saying that practicing good habits, having a structured routine, balancing a nice diet with exercise and being surrounded by a caring community are all results of growth; they can also be the cause.
In this episode of The Success Lift Podcast, Brian has a conversation with Chris Tutela. Chris talks about his experiences dealing with adversities in life, being comfortable by doing the uncomfortable and growing as a person because of that. Brian and Chris also share great insights about the coaching industry, the power of habit changing and how important it is to attach ourselves to the long term moments of pride rather than the instant ones.
In this episode, you will learn:

The collection of adversities we face in life shape us and move us forward, but one of the hardest things to do is: own your story. Although it's not easy to admit that life wasn't always what we wanted it to be, it's important. Each time you admit it to others and even to yourself, it gets easier. No one is perfect and everyone is a work in progress; that's what makes each of us unique.
In this episode of The Success Lift Podcast, Brian shares great insights on why it's a lot of work to spend our lives pretending: pretending to be well, pretending to have it all figured out, pretending to have it under control. We don't always do, but that's just life. The most important thing to do is to align the outside (appearing) and the inside (feeling). Are you willing to let this contrast go?

Physical pain and mental pain are more correlated than you can imagine. The deep unhealed emotions we carry can manifest into physical pain at the same level that physical pain influences our minds and behaviors. The way out of this cycle (or the alignment of it) is what they call mind-body coherence. Think about how you think when you are in pain, what are your physical limitations costing you?
In this episode of the Success Lift Podcast, Brian links four different aspects of our daily life – food quality, water intake, movement, and bodywork – with our emotions and physical limitations. Taking care of these types of pain today will benefit you tomorrow, because as you will learn: there's no such thing as a free lunch. Everything you do (or don't do) has a price that you don't always realize you're paying.

In today's solo episode, Brian talks about the four things missing from your current plan. Oftentimes we make excuses for ourselves or make weak promises that leave us in a grey area. Brian talks about how we need to have more black and white rules around our promises and figure out what our purpose is. Why are you going to do the thing you say you want to do? What is the reason? He explains that asking yourself why you want to accomplish certain goals will start you on your path to success.
Brian also shares his own four pillars in life: health, wealth, family, and focus. He explains how each of these four pillars are of equal importance, but at different times. Perfect balance between all of the pillars is impossible, and learning to focus on one at a time is the best way to stick with your plan. Success is bound to happen once you become clear on your plan, purpose, and develop your own pillars. Brian then explains the four most common things that are missing from a successful plan; these four things that you need in your plan are: strategy, milestones, audits, and accountability. Brian goes into detail of each of these strategies and shares how these foundations have helped along his journey. Take notes as Brian drops some amazing tips to help you develop your plan and purpose!
