    The United States nears four million cases with more than 141,000 deaths. New coronavirus cases steady or falling in as many states as where cases are rising. CDC data shows that many more people have been infected than the official numbers show.

    California tops 400,000 cases and is now close to surpassing New York. Florida governor claims that the stateis "on the right course" as cases surge.

    Trump's coronavirus briefing returns, likely without doctors, since April. Fauci says "I was not invited" to today's White House coronavirus briefing. There have been three million more infections and 86,000 deaths since the last time Trump held a coronavirus briefing. Trump says that Covid-19 will probably get worse before it gets better. Trump said that he would wear a mask, but did not last night at the Trump Hotel.

    The surgeon general says that the virus transmission will decide if kids go back to school.

    Trump wishes Jeffrey Epstein's associate Ghislaine Maxwell well.

    New Cases Up In 31 States As CDC Predicts More United States Deaths Jul 21, 2020

    The United States death toll tops 140,000 with more than 3.8 million cases. New cases are up in 31 states as the CDC predicts 17,000 new United States deaths over the next three weeks and hospitalizations rise sharply.

    Los Angeles County breaks the daily record for hospitalizations. The Los Angeles mayor is on the "brink" of issuing a new stay-at-home order. Florida sees another day with more than 10,000 new cases reported. Atlanta mayor says that the Georgia governor is trying to "restrain" her from speaking. New York City enters phase four of reopening. Arizona's 7-day average positivity rate is the highest in the nation.

    Doctors beg Arizona governor to delay schools until October. Florida educators file a lawsuit against forced school reopenings. Florida's Miami-Dade county ICU bed capacity is now at 130 percent.

    Trump tweets "many people say it is patriotic to wear a face mask" after minimizing their importance for months. Trump is to resume coronavirus briefings as he downplays pandemic and misleads about coronavirus testing, deaths and masks. The White House is pushing to block new money for testing, tracing and the CDC.

    The Oxford vaccine trial shows the vaccine is safe and has immunity against the virus.

    White House Blocks CDC Officials from Testifying Jul 18, 2020

    The White House is blocking US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Robert Redfield and other officials from the agency from testifying before a House Education and Labor Committee hearing on reopening schools next week, just as the debate over sending children back to classrooms has flared up across the US. CNN's Brian Todd investigates so-called 'Covid parties' as the number of hospitalized coronavirus patients continue to rise. Director of the National Institutes of Health Dr. Francis Collins, who is Dr. Anthony Fauci's boss, is asked about what he would do if he were asked by President Trump to fire Fauci.

    Florida Reports New One-Day Record Of 156 Coronavirus Deaths Jul 17, 2020

    United States coronavirus cases top 3.5 million with more than 138,000 deaths as the number of new cases are rising in 39 states. Florida reports a new one-day record of 156 deaths and more than 13,000 new infections in a single day. More than 50 Florida hospitals have reached capacity in their intensive care units. The Miami mayor asks for more CDC guidance as coronravirus cases surge in the state of Florida. The Texas governor refuses to shutdown as state breaks daily coronavirus case count record.

    Trump and Fauci speak for the first time in more than a month as Trump continues to ignore the worsening pandemic, as he is at odds with health officials and facing election campaign disarray. Maryland's GOP governor slams Trump's "hopeless" virus response.

    Publix, CVS and Target join store requiring masks for customers. Despite objections, more states and cities are requiring people to wear masks. The Georgia governor bans cities and counties in Georgia from mandating the use of masks.

    The Trump administration is pressuring states to reopen schools. The White House press secretary says that "science should not stand in the way" of opening schools back up and claims that science "is on our side."

    California Reports Second Highest One-Day Increase In New Cases And Deaths Jul 16, 2020

    The United States coronavirus death toll nears 137,000 as cases rise in 38 states. California reports its second highest one-day increase in new cases and deaths. California shatters record with more than 11,000 cases in one day. More than 301,000 cases have been reported in the new pandemic epicenter in Florida. Oklahoma governor tests positive as state reports record number of new cases. Washington state extends its freeze on reopenings.

    Trump talks infrastructure in Georgia as pandemic rages. The United States sets another one-day case record as virus rages. A key model now projects 224,000 United States deaths by November. Covid hospital data will be sent to Trump administration instead of CDC.

    A White House trade adviser, with no health experience, says that the United States cannot trust the advice that Fauci gives. Fauci fires back at attack by Trump adviser and says, "I can't explain Peter Navarro. He's in a world by himself." A White House official says that Navarro violated instructions to de-escalate with Fauci. Fauci calls the White House's efforts to discredit him "bizarre" and says "I just want to do my job... and I'm going to keep doing it." He also suggests a reset on coronavirus response and says, "let's stop this nonsense."

    One Out Of Every 100 Americans Has Been Infected With Coronavirus Jul 14, 2020

    The United States death tool has surpassed 135,000. Now, one out of every 100 Americans has been infected with coronavirus.

    California governor orders a sweeping rollback of indoor activities. The rollback includes indoor operations like restaurants and bars. California's two largest school districts won't reopen next month. Florida governor is scheduled to speak as the state shatters the United States' record for new coronavirus infections in one day. Florida's cases now top 282,000 infections. New York City reports that they had no new coronavirus deaths for the first time since March.

    The education secretary echoes Trump's push for schools to reopen and brushes off the coronavirus risk. The education secretary won't say if schools should follow CDC reopening guidelines.

    Trump defends relationship with Fauci after the White House attacks the top disease expert's credibility. White House officials denies opposition research on Fauci despite memos against him. Fauci says that "We haven't even begun to see the end" of the coronavirus pandemic. Fauci also says that some states went from a shutdown to "throwing caution to the wind."

    White House officials defends Trump's retweet of game show host saying the CDC is lying. An Ex-Trump chief of staff says lack of testing strategy is "inexcusable."

Nashville schools delay the restart of in-person learning. Texas hots records for deaths and hospitalizations. Arizona leads the United States in new coronavirus cases per capita. The New York City mayor cancels large events through September. The New York City mayor also speaks on spike in violent crime.

    Fauci says "I don't think you can say we're doing great... we're just not." He also says transmissibility of covid-19 is a "perfect storm." Fauci says the prospect of another lockdown is "very discouraging."

    Trump claims children's immune system is "so powerful, so strong," pushes to reopen schools. CDC director says there will be no revision to school reopening guidelines despite Pence's promise and Trump's attack.

    Trump again falsely claims an increase in testing is responsible for surging new coronavirus cases.

    Weekly jobless claims rise by 1.3 million in the United States. Supreme Court rules against Trump on tax records.

    Coronavirus Deaths Rise In Florida, Arizona and Texas Jul 09, 2020

    The United States passes three million coronavirus cases and nears 132,000 deaths. The virus is surging in 35 states. Deaths rise in Florida, Arizona and Texas. Seven states have record hospitalizations. The California governor says that state hospitalization rate is up 44 percent in over two weeks. Miami schools might stay closed despite the state's mandate. The United States reported a record of more than 60,000 new coronavirus cases recently. At least 3,200 coronavirus deaths have occurred in Maryland with more than 70,000 cases.

    Birx says states with surges should roll back reopening. Pence says that national coronavirus hot spots have enough hospital capacity and personal prot3ective equipment.

    The White House won't say whether Trump has confidence in Fauci. Trump threatens to "cut off funding" if schools don't reopen in the fall. Pence says the CDC will issue a new school reopening guidance after Trump complains it's too "tough." The White House is pushing schools to open as the United States surpasses three million coronavirus cases. The CDC director says that their guidelines should not be used as "rationale" to keep schools closed. White House officials say that Trump and the CDC are "very much" on the same page.
