Sometimes plans change, and a combination of factors have necessitated me pulling out this emergency backup episode. I hope you like it--and it's better than a rerun! We have snippets from Truman Bethurum, George Adamski, and Ivan Sanderson talking about the Flatwoods Monster. I talk a bit about the clips as well, which were chosen for their manageable length and listenable audio quality.

These clips, and more like them, were collected by Wendy Connors and are available at the Internet Archive.

Episode Notes

Perhaps one of the most infamous UFO books of the 1990s, in this episode we examine whether or not Leah Haley's children's book Ceto's New Friends deserves its reputation or the vitriol with which it was met upon its release. We'll also touch on the wider issue of children and UFOs--particularly a decidedly odd seminar that apparently took place in 2000.

The video where I look at the book is here! Gray Highway at Amazon

Ceto's New Friends is available used at various places including Amazon.

Episode Notes

We're back to Contactees in this episode where we look at Dana Howard, whose contacts were somewhat unique but whose message was very much in line with what we've seen before. I found her story fascinating and frustrating at the same time.

You can get some of Dana's books at Amazon. Warning! My copy of Diane- She Came from Venus had quite a few pages in the wrong order--not sure if it was just my copy or a broader production problem.

We're continuing, in our little side series here, to look at some UFO books targeted at children. Today, Monsters from Outer Space, which you will hear in its (very brief) entirety. Look here for a picture of the very haunting cover that I semi-remember from my childhood.

The Disclosure President? Apr 15, 2020

Episode Notes

In this episode, we begin the first in a series of occasional looks at the crossover between flying saucers and American presidential politics with a couple of updated ideas about the Obama campaign's appeal to the exopolitics crowd. Yes, it's just about the closest thing to "up to date" that we do here on the show.

These ideas appeared in a slightly different form in my books Extraterrestrials and the American Zeitgeist and The Chaos Conundrum. Check them out, if you haven't!

You can find the bibliography to my original version of "The Disclosure President?" paper here.

(And sorry if you thought you were getting Dana Howard! You'll get her next time!)

Flying Saucer Game Night Apr 01, 2020

Episode Notes

So a few months back, we encountered an ad for a flying saucer trivia game called UFOria.

This episode is the result. Roberta, Sasha, Nelson, and I had fun doing this one. Maybe too much fun, but this seemed like a good week for this anomaly of an episode.

I will not provide a link to buy UFOria. I don't want any of you to blame me if you buy it.
