In this episode, we want to take a look at an important scenario for your investing: How do you go about evaluating syndicators like an expert? For over 16 years, vetting syndicators has played a major role in our business strategy. So I want to break down a bit of my experience and expertise here and give you the most important questions to ask yourself and your syndicators, as well as some hard to find tips you can go out and apply right away. Trusting Your Gut Over Your Fears with Sandra Williams Dec 24, 2021

Imagine being told you’re crazy and your market will never make any money but then swooping into it anyway right before it explodes into a thriving industry! Sandra Williams is a construction manager, entrepreneur, and investor. She has been Vice President of Northstar Construction and Development, LLC for the past 6 years. What’s super fascinating is she went from custom home builds to flipping, and now she's doing reuse projects, new builds, and a heap of construction projects that are all aligned with the market that she's in. In this episode, Sandra gives some impactful tips on trusting your gut even when it goes against the grain and being a leader in your market by looking at what's needed and leveraging creative reuse to make it happen! Throughout the whole process, you have to continue to train your problem solving muscles. Self Managing Your Real Estate Like a PRO with Dana Dunford Dec 17, 2021

Is self-management a buzzword for you? If so, you’re not alone. So many people run from it like the plague! But in this episode, we’re going to break down the uncertainties with one of the best real estate tech innovators in the space! Dana Dunford is the CEO of Hemlane, a technology-enabled property management platform. The best properties are not always the ones in our own backyards, which is why Dana is a strong advocate of purchasing properties anywhere. She empowers real estate investors to do this by taking the pain points of property management and figuring out ways to make it more efficient. Today we're going to talk about two things that are potentially ruining your team culture. Number one is not having specific roles, and number two, having very rigid roles. These two things are not just detrimental to your team but to your finances and scalability as well! Team development is a muscle you need to strengthen over time. Like any relationship, it’s ok not to get it right at first as long as it’s improving and getting better. So we’re going to break down the issues that stem from these two problems, how to establish a better team culture, and specific questions to ask so you can give yourself and your team a little audit to adjust. This is all while working part-time as a Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner (what a powerhouse!). She believes that her background in Medicine has been the key to her success in the business arena.
