    The People’s Court Podcast

The honorable Judge Marilyn Milian presides over the four-time Emmy award winning “The People’s Court.” For more than two decades, Milian has dispensed justice and provided legal insight in the courtroom where justice and reality collide. And now, you can take the show on the go with “The People’s Court Podcast.”

“The People’s Court Podcast” draws on ordinary people who have filed grievances in civil court and have opted to have their cases heard and mediated by Judge Milian. Running the gamut from disputes between neighbors and family members, to dissatisfied customers suing businesses, Milian’s decisions – based on current law – are final and binding.

Joining Milian is multiple Emmy Award-winning investigative reporter Harvey Levin, who serves as the series’ host and legal reporter. In the courtroom, Milian is joined by court officer Douglas McIntosh. Doug Llewelyn interviews litigants after a decision has been rendered in their cases.

Things got so bad the plaintiff had to move out. The defendant gave the plaintiff a check for the security deposit, but it bounced, so the plaintiff is suing him for the money she’s owed. The defendant argues he doesn’t owe the plaintiff a dime. He also claims the plaintiff is a promiscuous, eccentric girl who had different men in the apartment every night.

He initially paid for them, so he shouldn’t have to pay her anything.

The defendant, who drove the car, is ignoring the plaintiff’s requests to pay for the medical bills, so now he’s suing the driver for the costs. Now the bathrooms he worked on are leaking, so she’s suing for the money she paid him. The defendant says he never told the plaintiff he was licensed and insured. He alleges she’s suing because he filed a complaint after he was injured at work.

The plaintiff says the defendant ruined his coat while dry cleaning it and made him sign something saying he’d only get $22 for it. He claims the coat was worth $500, so that’s what he’s suing for. The defendant says the coat had a defect because he followed the cleaning instructions.
