The Road to Success in Ortho | 5-Minute Friday Sep 16, 2022
    Show notes

Let's call it out like it is…

Most of us in Ortho are great achievers. I meet all of you out there, and I'm so impressed and sometimes feel like I'm the dumbest person in the room.

You were likely among the top students all through your classes, and that got you into this wonderful career.

In addition, many orthodontists speak multiple languages, play multiple instruments, practice martial arts, and many other things are going on.

No doubt that you are an achiever.

Because of being an achiever, sometimes we fall into the trap of wanting things too quickly. We want a million dollar-practice in 6 months or an amazing culture in a month, or a full schedule of new patients next week.

But I'm here to tell you that success in Ortho or in anything worth having is not glamorous. It's not fast. But I will guarantee you that if you put your work in, amazing things will happen.

Tune in to this 5-minute episode to learn more of what it takes to succeed in Ortho.

Better Efficiencies with Aligners and Dental Monitoring w/ Drs. Sean Holliday and Barry Glaser Sep 13, 2022
    Show notes

Today on the podcast, I have two gentlemen who are widely respected in the orthodontic world. They are great clinicians and teachers.
In addition, they are in touch with the business side of orthodontics with things such as efficiency, productivity, and technology.

I have Dr. Sean Holliday and Dr. Barry Glaser.

Recently, there have been great discussions online, specifically about Dental Monitoring. On the one hand, some people say it has changed their practices and their lives. On the other hand, others claim that it's just another extra expense.

That's the main discussion we are having in this episode. We start with the null hypothesis that Dental Monitoring makes no difference in one's practice.

Dr. Sean Holliday states that it saves so much clinical time and increases our capacity because we can focus on the relevant appointments.

It is also great from a patient's perspective because they only show up for significant things.

Dr. Barry Glaser adds that Dental Monitoring is all about automating routine processes. It's about reducing the noise by focusing on the 20% and letting the technology do the other 80%.

Tune in to this fascinating conversation and learn more about Dental Monitoring and the details of how these two gentlemen today are using it in their practices.

    Key Takeaways

    Show notes

Most of us have had the experience of calling a medical office or any other business and felt disappointed at how the person at the other end answered the call and how the conversation went.
