A Behind The Scenes Look At "Bottoms" Aug 23, 2023

Show notes

"Bottoms" had its world premiere at the South By Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival earlier this year and received positive reviews for its outrageous premise, raunchy humor, unpredictability, and chemistry between the film's stars, Rachel Sennott and Ayo Edebiri. Following the success of "Shiva Baby," Emma Seligman's second directed feature film expands upon her first in nearly every conceivable way while retaining her unique voice and giving rise to women's stories in unexpected genres and situations. Seligman was kind enough to spend some time talking with Ema Sasic, while Stunt Coordinator Devon McNair and Cinematographer Maria Rusche spoke with Dan Bayer about their involvement in making the film. Please take a moment to listen to the interviews and check out the film, which is opening in limited release this weekend from Orion Pictures before expanding next weekend. Thank you, and enjoy!

Interview With "House Of The Dragon" Cinematographer Catherine Goldschmidt Aug 22, 2023

Show notes

"House Of The Dragon" is one of television's most visually lush films today. Carrying over the same visual style of "Game Of Thrones" while allowing for subtle differences from each new DP who works on the series, the show has amassed acclaim for its highly cinematic look and overall quality. Catherine Goldschmidt was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Cinematography for a Series (One Hour) for her work on Episode 8 of Season 1, "The Lord Of The Tides" (and also received a nomination from the American Society Of Cinematographers for the same episode) and was kind enough to spend some time talking with us about her work on the episode after she received her first Emmy nomination. Please take a listen and be sure to check out the show, which is now streaming on Max and has been nominated for nine Emmy awards. Thank you, and enjoy!
